Andriana arrived at her sister's room huffing after rushing out of the car as fast as she could.
She stopped at the door, and the two doctors and the nurse looked back to see her frozen at the door.
Andriana gasped as her eyes moved down to the bed to see her sister's eyes open. Slowly she shifted her head to look back at her.
Her eyes blinked trying to focus her vision as she slowly recognised Andriana .She tried to move her mouth but nothing came out, tears forming in her eyes.
Andriana moved dropping next to her bed and grabbed her hand.
"Hi there Rosie... you're finally awake " she cried.
Rosie blinked her tears falling, and Andriana felt her weakly squeeze her hand.
She chuckled her tears falling.
"Thank you ..thank you so much ...for coming back to me " she cried hugging her.
Mira held back her tears watching the two sisters cry like babies.
Later when they calmed down the doctors talked to her.
"She is going to need physical therapy to help relearn how to sit, talk, move and more. But for now, most of her tests show a promising recovery" they said.
Andriana listened while she kept stealing glances at her sister inside the room.
"Since she recognised you that meant her brain wasn't that much affected. She might be confused about the last events that happened that day so take your time explaining to her "
Andriana thanked the doctors and as they left she noticed Karlye and David arrived.
"Karlye.." she called.
He stopped spotting her, she ran to him and Karlye opened his arms to hold her.
"She is awake ....my sister is finally awake " she cried hiding her face in the crook of his neck.
His arms secured her slender body, holding her up in his embrace.
"Yes she is ... I'm so happy for you my love " he kissed her shoulder.
All eyes were on them but Karlye didn't care for all his attention was on the woman crying in his arms.
She calmed downamd led him back to her sister's room.
She was awake and gazed back at them.
Andriana took her hand and introduced Karlye to Rosie.
"Hello Rosie, nice to finally meet you " he said.
Rose weakly smiled and Andriana giggled.
"She likes you...Rosie always had a weakness for handsome faces "
Karlye chuckled.
Later after Karlye and the others had left them to catch up. Andriana explained to her what happened after the accident.
...
"I don't think your stalking is going to happen now " David whispered to Karlye as they walked out of the doctor's office.
"What are you talking about ?" Karlye scowled.
"Your plans of moving in with her. Andriana knew there was a chance of her sister waking up so that's why she decided to move back " said David.
They had found out from the doctor that Andriana had noticed signs from her sister, little eye movements and her fingers a few weeks back.
It had happened after her father had tried to take her away and Andriana used a stun gun on him.
"I guess that's why she suddenly got the urge to open up that pizza place and move back. It's like she was preparing for her sister's return, even after being told it had a low chance of happening "
Karlye sighed listening to David.
"I am glad her sister is awake and will recover but I feel somehow ....." he stopped.
David scoffed, "I believe the word you're looking for is sad . Is this because she didn't tell you anything about it?".
Karlye wanted to deny it but realised he was right. Why had she not told Karlye about it first, in fact no one seemed to know about it.
"Don't overthink it, give her time to take in this happiness and later ask her " David advised.
Two weeks later .....
"Andriana you need to rest now " said Mira who had just arrived.
"That is what I have been saying but she can't seem to settle down " Rosie watched her sister.
Rosie had finally started to speak properly after weeks of therapy.
Andriana was getting her sister's dinner ready.
"I heard you both, I'm almost done so calm down " she brought the dinner to her.
Mira took off her jacket and bag and grabbed Andriana pushing her down on the couch next to the bed.
She bent closer to her ear.
"You're pregnant don't forget that. Let the nurses and I help too, you don't need to do everything alone "
Andriana apologised.
"I am sorry I just want to take care of her ".
"I understand but if you don't take care of yourself, your boyfriend will kill me " she said.
She nodded leaning back.
Her phone rang it was Karlye, Mira noticed and scoffed, "Speak of the devil "
Andriana beamed picking up.
Mira and Rosie stared at her while she talked on the phone.
"Mira can you tell me how my sister met her handsome boyfriend. Every time I ask she ignores the question " Rosie muttered.
Mira chuckled.
"I will after she leaves " she whispered back.
Andriana hung up grabbing her bag.
"Karlye is here, I will be leaving now " she said.
"All that just to tell you he's here " Mira teased.
"He wanted to know how Rosie was doing " she answered.
She kissed her sister's forehead and hugged Mira then rushed off.
Rosie sighed.
"I never knew she could smile like that " she commented.
Mira smiled.
"And I hope it lasts, your sister has a pretty smile so please get better soon. It will make her happier "
"I am happy for her, I just don't want to be a burden anymore . My sister has found happiness something I had prayed with my heart that she could get, so I don't want to be another block in her life right now".
Mira glanced back at Rosie.
"Don't say that Rosie. The only thing that kept Andriana going and never giving up even after being hurt multiple times was you ".
"Me ....but I was just lying here all this time " Rosie looked up her tears stinging.
Mira hugged her.
"Because you never gave up, you kept fighting to stay alive. She knew one day you would wake up and wanted to present the best version of herself to you if that day came. So even if it was hard, Andriana finished school, got a job and gave her best at everything she did even when it kept hurting .
Mira pulled away wiping Rosie's tears.
"Just you being alive even when just lying there gave her all the strength she needed to keep going. So you can never be a burden to Andriana "
"Did she go through alot" Rosie cried
Mira breathed nodding, "yes she did but then there was me, Samantha my assistant who helped and eased that pain . And now she has someone who would do anything for her so you don't need to worry too much about her ".
Rosie hugged Mira again.
"Thank you for saying all that, I am really glad she now has such nice people around her " she cried.
Mira smiled holding her as her own tears fell.
