Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 My House

Jay's POV (Entering the House)

After the warm hugs from Keifer's younger brothers, we stepped inside the house. My eyes widened instantly—Keifer's home was massive and elegant, but still cozy in a way that made it feel welcoming.

Keifer turned to me, a playful glint in his eyes. "Jay… I want to make this special for you."

"Special?" I asked nervously, clutching my bag.

"Yes," he said, smiling. "So… I want you to trust me. Close your eyes."

I hesitated for a split second. "Close my eyes?"

"Yes, just for a moment," he coaxed, holding out his hands. His smile was so warm that I couldn't refuse.

I let him guide me, my hands on his arms, and soon a soft blindfold was placed over my eyes.

"Keifer… what are you doing?" I whispered, my heart pounding.

"Just trust me," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "I promise, you're going to love this."

The Surprise

We walked down a long hallway, my nerves mixing with excitement. I could hear soft footsteps behind us, probably the maid helping with my suitcase. The faint sound of laughter from Mark Kegian and Mark Kieran faded into the background.

Finally, he stopped. "Okay… you can open your eyes now."

I removed the blindfold slowly. My jaw dropped.

Before me was my new room—spacious, beautifully decorated, and with a stunning view of the city skyline. Every detail seemed to reflect something about me, from the soft colors to the cozy reading corner. My bag had been unpacked neatly by the maid, leaving my room perfectly ready.

"Keifer… this… is amazing," I breathed, stepping inside.

He smiled, his hands on my shoulders. "Only the best for you, Jay. I wanted your first day here to feel special. This is your space now… yours and mine."

I felt tears prick at the corner of my eyes. "Keifer… I… I don't even know what to say."

He leaned down and whispered, "Just know that I'm happy you're here. That's all I need."Jay's POV (Freshen Up)

After admiring the room and taking a deep breath, Keifer smiled and said, "Jay… go freshen up. I'll be downstairs preparing something for my queen."

"Your queen?" I whispered to myself, cheeks heating.

I nodded, feeling my heart flutter, and headed to the bathroom to quickly freshen up. The thought of him calling me his queen made me giddy.

Jay Sees Keifer Making Lunch

When I came back down, the scent of something delicious immediately hit me. I peeked into the kitchen and froze.

There he was—Keifer Watson, second richest man in the Philippines, making lunch himself. His sleeves were rolled up, his focus completely on the food, yet somehow he still looked impossibly handsome.

I couldn't resist. I quietly walked up behind him.

"Keifer… what are you doing?" I asked, leaning against the counter.

He looked up, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Making lunch for my queen, of course," he replied, flipping a pan dramatically.

I laughed, shaking my head. "I can't believe you're actually cooking… you could have just ordered it."

He turned to me, eyes sparkling. "Where's the fun in that? I want to do this myself. Besides… I like seeing you smile when I cook."

My heart skipped a beat. There he was, teasing, confident, and sweet all at once. "You really spoil me, you know that?" I said softly.

"That's my job," he said, winking. "You're my queen, Jay. Only the best for you."

I couldn't help but smile, stepping closer. There was something so comforting about this—the way he made even a simple thing like lunch feel special.
