Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Goodbye

Jay's POV (Morning at Home)

The sun had barely risen when I woke up, excitement and nerves making it impossible to sleep. Today was the day—moving in with Keifer, starting a new life with him.

I got ready quickly but carefully, picking an outfit that was comfortable yet nice enough for a special morning. My hair was brushed, my bag packed, and my heart was fluttering uncontrollably.

Downstairs, the house smelled of breakfast. Tita Gemma had prepared something simple but delicious. Kuya Angelo, as usual, sat at the table with a newspaper, sipping coffee, his expression calm but attentive.

"Morning, Jay," he said, looking up as I entered.

"Morning, Kuya," I replied, trying to keep my hands from shaking.

We had breakfast together, talking about small things, laughing lightly. Aries teased me occasionally, asking if I was ready to leave the nest. I ignored him, focused on the butterflies in my stomach.

Keifer Arrives

The sound of a car pulling up made me glance outside. I could see Keifer stepping out, his usual confident smile in place.

Kuya Angelo stood and approached him, a hand resting on his shoulder in that rare gesture of approval.

"Is everything ready?" Kuya Angelo asked, his tone calm but sharp.

"Yes, Kuya," I said, my voice steady despite the nervous excitement bubbling inside me.

"Take my bag from the room," I added, feeling a bit bashful.

Keifer: "Okay, darling."

I froze. My cheeks flushed red.

How dare he call me "darling" in front of Kuya Angelo? I thought, glaring slightly at him.

Then I looked at Kuya Angelo—and saw him laughing softly, clearly amused by my reaction.

Even in this small moment, I could feel how much today would change everything.Jay's POV (Hugging Family Goodbye)

With my bag in hand, I walked over to everyone and gave a small hug.

"Goodbye, everyone," I said softly, smiling.

Kuya Angelo nodded, a rare warm expression crossing his face. "Make sure to visit at least once," he said, his voice calm but firm.

Aries immediately crossed his arms, smirking. "No, Kuya. Let them be there. Don't bother us!"

I raised an eyebrow and shot back. "Oh, so your girlfriend Ella is coming here, and you're scared I might ruin your precious peace? Got it."

"Hey! That's not—" Aries started, eyes flashing.

"Oh, please," I interrupted, smirking. "You only care because you know I might expose all your secrets. Don't act like you don't check Ella's texts together like a jealous cat."

Aries blinked. "Excuse me?! That's none of your business!"

"Sure, sure," I said, leaning closer. "And don't act like you won't miss me when I'm gone. Who else will roast you better than me?"

"Miss you? Ha! I have Ella. I don't need you!" he snapped, though the slight twitch of his lips betrayed he was secretly annoyed.

"Oh really?" I grinned. "Ella can't compete with me. Don't come crying to Kuya Angelo when I'm gone and your royal brat duties have no backup."

Aries opened his mouth to argue again, but Ella jumped in, crossing her arms. "Jay, you're being dramatic. Stop teasing him!"

"Oh, am I?" I said, smirking. "Or is he just mad because I speak the truth?"

Ella huffed, glaring at me, while Aries groaned and waved his hands.

Kuya Angelo chuckled quietly from the side, clearly entertained by our banter.

Keifer, leaning casually against the car outside, was laughing silently, clearly enjoying every second of it.

Even amidst all the teasing, chaos, and little battles with Aries (and Ella), I felt my heart flutter. Today was the start of something new—and nothing, not even my little brother's sass, Ella's glares, or Keifer's teasing grin, could ruin it.
