In the ruined city where shadow crawlers roamed the place, Alex dashed accross the city with frightening speeds, cutting through every shadow crawler that jumped his way. The human sized lizards shot acids at him from all angles, some threw slashes at him with their claws, while the others charged at him from all directions. Alex wasn't fazed at all, Infact, he had a grin on his face moved at blinding speeds. As he ran, he dodged the waves of acid, weaved through the relentless slashes, and was able to skillfully and brutally cut through the lizards that shot forward at him like missiles. Alex was excited as the blood and ooze of the shadow crawlers splattered everywhere "HAHA! COME ON! COME ON! IM NOT DONE YET, GIVE ME MORE OF A FIGHT!", he exclaimed with mad excitement. Every wave from his daggers created slashes that cut through hordes of shadow crawlers, the roads of the ruined city tore apart, and whatever buildings that were left of the city immediately crumbled to the ground due to Alex's slashes. Alex darted around every lizard and insect that jumped at him, slicing them into pieces as moved with incredible speed "Mahn, I never realised I moved this well.", thought Alex, "I usually depended more on brute force and endurance while I fought. Not like I doubted myself on being skilfull with weapons, but my body feels lighter now.". Alex smirked "Hm! I want to test something.", all the shadow crawlers jumped at him at once, all ready to tear through his body and eat him. Alex stood still, his eyes closed as his right hand holding one of his daggers raised upwards. Alex thought "This is a move from Raquel I've always wanted to try!". To Alex, everything was in slow motion, he thought to himself "Raquel and I made a specific habit. Once a year, we'd teach other one of our special techniques. She'd teach me a crystal technique, and I teach her one of my own techniques, although I don't have much techniques at all.". Alex took a deep breath in and out "Special Technique: Crystaline slash!", Alex waved his hand down while holding his dagger. All the shadow crawlers seemed to have paused for a moment until "Scatter!", Alex commanded before all the shadow crawlers instantly blasted Into pieces. Every shadow crawler in the ruined city that had charged at him, exploded into pieces with just one single slash [BLAM! SPLAT! BOOM!], they all exploded violently. Black ooze started to drop all over the place, not a single drop of black touched him. Alex opened his eyes and looked around "Are you kidding me? Usually the technique turns its opponents into pieces, everything just feels like mush.", he looked at himself "I'm glad non of these substances dropped on me.". Alex continued to walk forward, a group of armored soldiers spying on him. Alex blinked "Huh. You don't say! Well, I guess that makes sense.", he yawned "Damn, I'm pretty tired. I've been up and active all day, I guess a little shut eye wouldn't be bad.". Alex's eyes slowly started to close up, he stood at a dark corner for a little while. Alex at the moment was trying to reminisce, he remembered all the training he's been through, the missions he and his friends had gone through. Not just that, but the battle himself and Kazuki had against Zodia replayed in his mind more times than any other memory. Alex then remembered Zodia saying "If you can't beat me, what makes you think you can beat any other threat that's out there?". Alex muttered to himself "I still find it hard to believe we fought that mad man! No, that war Calamity!", his mind also flashed to the moments he and Seiten fought, Seiten's psychotic laughter and screams ring in his head like noise "IM GOING TO FEED THE VESSLE OF RAHELZA TO CEREPHAROT! AND WHEN I DO THAT, I'LL ABSORB CEREPHAROT'S POWER AND USE IT TO DESTROY EVERYTHING ELSE WHILE THE DRAGON KINS RAIN SUPREME! HAHAHAHAHA!". Alex flashed out of these memories before the image of his parents, Kazuma and Mio, appeared in his head "Alex, we're so glad you're our son.", Mio's voice said to him. He thought to himself "We've been through a lot of horrible shit in life, for me to even still be here means I survived by pure miracles, strength aside.". Alex sighed "Well, it doesn't matter. I'm alive, im strong, I'll continue to get stronger, and I'll try to make the world a little more easier to live in once I become a lord.". Alex sat down at the dark corner, his eyes a little drowsy "A little sleep won't hurt.". The moment his eyes seemed like they were closed, a spear flew straight towards his head, its speed moving in slow motion once it approached him. Alex had a look of disinterest, like as if he didn't know a group of people where following him. Energy shot out of his body like a barrier, flinging the spear to the side, Alex turned his head to the side "Now what?". It turns out that soldiers covered In golden armor had surrounded him, all of them standing on the roads and buildings around Alex, their daggers, abilities and swords all ready to kill him. Alex sighed and stood up "Of course it happened to be assassins!", Bellika stood on a building, the red night sky field with the shining bright moon and stars glowing down on her as her eyes gleamed yellow "You who serves the devil king, prepare to get skewered!". Alex was confused and irritated at the same time "Hah?", he exclaimed with confusion.
