Six years ago, the week after the assassination exams. Alex and Raquel were laying down underneath a tree in a grasslands, both of them were enjoying the bright blue sky and the quiet scenery. Raquel said to Alex "Hey, Alex, the city has been quiet all week. You know that?", Alex responded "How couldn't I know? Normally there was supposed to be a fire works festival the night after the final rounds of the exams. But because of the destruction that occurred in the city due to some weird criminal group, people decided to focus more on rebuilding their houses and stuff.", he took his time to think "Although, the rest of the week is supposed to be quiet.". Raquel added "Yeah, I think they call it the one week of rest or something.", Alex scoffed with a warm smile "Well, it is a nice one week of rest. I mean, you and I get to train together. And since you want to stay with me for a few week, it's going to feel peaceful for a bit.". Raquel asked "Hey, Alex. I know we've talked about this before, but do you really think i did well against Mori? Back at our elimination rounds.", Alex looked at her "Yeah, you did great. You kept up with him pretty well. You outsmarted him a few times even tho he seemed more skilled than you were. And plus, even when you have a little problem with building up speed, you are pretty darn fast.". Raquel scoffed "Hm!", she sat up straight and told Alex "Hey, Alex, let's do something.", Alex looked at her "Hm? What do you want to do?", he asked. Raquel explained "There's something I thought off. Since you and I want to get closer to one another, why don't we teach each other one of our techniques and stuff.", Alex's brows raised upwards "Hm? You're fine with that?", Raquel tilted her head "Of course I am. Well, even tho you don't know that many techniques, I'm still willing to learn from you. So, you wanna do it?". Alex frowned tiredly "She's hrowing strays at me.", be thought. Alex smiled softly "Sure, let's do it.". Raquel kissed Alex on the lips before smiling at him, Alex's smile became warmer "This is the first time I've actually felt this before. I don't know if this is what affection feels like, but I do know i get it a lot from her. I like it.". Currently, Alex was just opening his eyes, his dried blood stains in his mouth as he knelt down in a throne room. Alex asked himself "Where am I?", his eyes looked left and right "Some kind of fancy throne room?", he asked himself. A sword flew towards him and stabbed him on the leg "GHAA!", Alex groaned "The hell....?!", he gritted his teeth. Alex heard a voice "Father, this is the person who tried to kill our soldiers.", he looked forward and saw Astavel and Bellika standing side by side with Dairadel who was sitted on a throne. Dairadel looked at Alex "Oh? Is that so?", Alex thought "Looks like I've been caught or something.". He looked to his back with a side eye, he noticed a chain tied on his hands glowing with red symbols "Energy cancellation? Great, so I can't fues energy into my system. Just fucking great!". Alex looked forward and asked "So? What's all this about?", a kick came slamming into his face "SHUT UP YOU FEIND!", the kings subordinate exclaimed. Alex's face got slammed to the side, he paused for a moment before his eyes rolled forward, looking at the subordinate that had kicked him on the face,leaving Alex confused and shocked. Alex was thinking of ways on how to kill the man who had just violently kicked him "Are you serious?", Alex asked. Bellika explained "Father, he was the one who we spotted in the ruined city. He had killed all the shadow crawlers there. He was probably sent by the Demon King!". Alex clicked his tongue and muttered "Again with this Demon King shit?! Look, I don't know who you guys are, I actually don't care! What I'm pissed off about is that I was walking by myself at night and these FOOLS attacked me!". Astavel explained to her father "I didn't really understand the situation, all I knew was that I saw Bellika's unit engaged in combat against an unknown enemy. So I jumped In to help.", Astavel thought to herself "Although, if someone hadn't attacked him from behind, who knows how he would have killed us.". After thinking, she suggested "Father, let's kill him. He's obviously from the Demon King.", Alex was already getting annoyed, his face fixated on everyone in the room. His head was already memorising every single person's face, and his ears were taking note of everyone's heart beat. Alex had a violent thought in his head "If I'm somehow able to get out of this situation.... IM KILLING EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THIS ROOM....!". Dairadel asked "You, who are you? And where do you come from? Do you work for the Demon King? What's his next move?! Answer my questions, and I'll give you a painless death!", Alex thought "Tch! This guy thinks he can kill me. He's never had a mini sun slash him before, that's for sure.". Alex explained "I can assure you I'm not part of the Demon King's army, infact I don't know anything about it!", a subordinate exclaimed "YOU LIAR!", Dairadel stretched his hand out to signal the subordinate to calm down. Dairadel said to Alex "Go on!", Alex explained "My name's Alex Starion. And I'm from the City of Kagahara, it's a place that's not from here at all. I took a nap and immediately found myself in the wastelands, like I was summoned here.". Dairadel raised a brow "Summoned?", one of the soldiers yelled "SIR, THIS MAN IS TALKING LIKE A FOOL! LETS KILL HIM!", another one laughed "THE SUMMONING RITUAL FOR THE HERO FAILED DAYS AGO. SO THERE'S NO WAY YOU COULD BE SUMMONED HERE!". Dairadel asked "So you're not from here, huh. And you said you were summoned? Prove it.", Alex explained "When i first woke up in this world, the first thing i saw were giant snakes and a snake lady. We ended up fighting, and I killed her.". Everyone in the room were in shock "Huh?!", "Is he talking about Medusayuki?!", "I don't know.", "But that should be impossible.", "The only one who can fight even one of the Demon King's allies is his majesty.". Astavel asked "Wait, you killed Medusayuki?", Alex replied "That's her name?", Bellika walked a few steps forward "Father, can I kill him now? He's speaking a lot of nonsense.". Dairadel was the only calm one in the room, he explained "The Demon King sends at least one of his allies once a month to attack us. Ever since we've been at war, we both have lost a lot of resources. But regardless, he still has the upper hand. Except if he's planning something, no attack from the Demon King has struck us yet.". Dairadel glared at Alex "Alex Starion, was it?", Alex replied "Yeah, that's my name!". Dairadel closes his eyes before opening them up, a terrifying wave of dark energy enveloped the room, taking the shape of a monster that stared down at Alex to his soul. Alex wasn't moved at all. Infact, he looked back at the manifestation right in its eyes, not a single ounce of fear in the boy. Alex did something "Boo!", he muttered. Dairadel's manifestation of power screamed In fear and then proceeded to run back and dissappear. Every single Devil Killer soldier in the room was in disbelief and fear. Bellika and Astavel were flabbergasted, even Dairadel was in shock. For the first time in a very long time, Dairadel had felt fear. He thought to himself, his face still stoic and casual, but his mind wondering "What?! He was able to scare off my power, without doing anything major?!". He looked closely at Alex, and all he could see..... WAS AN ENTITY COVERED IN RED WITH A DEMONIC SMILE. Dairadel thought to himself "There's no mistaking it! This boy..... IS A MONSTERS!". You damn right he's a monster.
