POV – Kim Mansion, Basement
The echo of gunfire bounced through the damp walls, but Liam flinched only slightly—the bullets had gone wide, hitting the air. A shadow moved closer, dim light revealing a familiar, terrifying figure: Alex.
"Long time no see… or should I say long time no speak, Liam?" Her voice was sweet, but laced with malice. She crouched slightly, lifting his chin with a wicked smile.
"Look at your face… where did all your beauty go? Now I'm starting to wonder which Alpha would want an Omega who looks like this."
Her laughter cracked sharply, slicing through the silence. Humiliation clawed at Liam's chest, a fire of shame and fear he couldn't control.
