Chapter 2 - Chapter 1-1: “Young Master?”

"Ah…. What?"

An Me stood there, holding the book to her chest. She wore a white sweater and a soft brown skirt. Her eye was brown mixed with a little yellow. Her skin was a soft yellow, almost white. Her chest was a little large. She wore glasses, which seemed unnecessary because—just like everyone else—she had only one eye.

"Didn't you say today was a day for learning?"

A maid stood in front of her, staring calmly. She wore a black maid outfit over a light white feathered T-shirt. Her eye was black and her skin was pale.

"…I told him exactly what you said, Ms. An Me. I wouldn't forget your message… I'm really sorry about it."

The maid bowed. An Me's smile awkward.

"...Does that mean my speaking skills are bad?"

The maid looked up while still bowing. "No… it's just that you're old."

An Me: "…I'm only 32 years old."

An Me didn't seem to buy it. The maid smiled and stood up straight.

"Then... I'm 20 years old, which means I'm much younger than you."

An Me: "It's not like I'm 120 years old. We can live for 200 years."

The maid crossed her arms. "But have you ever seen anyone live longer than forty? Except for old man Shi She Ga, he's 139, which is rare for most of us. Even the next generation has short lives, rarely living past half a century."

An Me gave up and sighed. "So, you really did get a degree in Carry History."

The maid looked a little surprised. "You knew?"

An Me: "Yes, I did. It's just hard to believe this village has such an honorable family that they hired a Sin Maid."

The maid smirked. "You know, if you didn't mention my degree, being a 'Sin' maid makes it sound like I'm a bad maid or something… which I'm not."

An Me smiled awkwardly. "...Sorry if it sounded like that. I just meant that you finished your schooling. That's rare for most of us."

The maid touched her own forehead. "No big deal..."

Another maid peeked at them. "Are you guys talking about... how good this place is or something?"

They looked toward the voice. A girl stood there eating green chips from a brown paper bag. She wore the exact same outfit as the other maid. The only thing that stood out was her sky-blue eye.

An Me stared at her. "Hi... are you new?"

The blue-eyed maid threw her hands in the air, her left hand still clutching the brown bag.

"No! I am the Head Maid of this place! My duty is to kill anyone who tries to touch this brown bag!"

Clearly, she is teasing. They just stared at her, not responding at all. The blue-eyed maid coughed and looked at An Me.

"By the way, why are you wearing those weird glasses?"

An Me tried to say something, but the blue-eyed maid hugged her brown bag to her chest and asked, "Can I wear them?"

An Me just looked at her, confused. The blue-eyed maid stepped closer.

"Do you wear these… because you have the 'two-eye' mind disease?"

An Me looked at her. "Ah, no… these are just glasses from my pet, who is also my partner for experiments."

"Is your pet a doctor? Like in the cartoons?" the blue-eyed maid asked curiously.

An Me said, "No… she is the experiment."

The blue-eyed maid gasped. "Experimenting on your pet? Are you a serial killer? Like in Moe Che Only Wants to Save the Pets?" (This was a famous children's horror movie in their world).

The first maid shook her head slowly. The blue-eyed maid looked at her, and the maid looked back.

"She just has a hobby of treating the animals like pets, even though they only exist in the lab for experiments."

An Me started sobbing, though it wasn't real.

"And it always breaks my heart."

The blue-eyed maid shouted.

"Then why do you even treat them like pets?!"

An Me looked at her.

"Because they look so cute, and I want them to feel loved at least once in their lives."

Blue-eyed maid:

"Do you think you're Aura or something?"

The first maid raised her hands.

"Behold, the most caring person for trian— I mean, hum— wtf... I mean animals."

The blue-eyed maid looked at the first maid. "Not you too, Kis! By the way, did you just say 'hum' or 'ah'...?"

Kis: "Human?"

"Yes! Exactly! They're from the Men World series, right?"

Kis: "Ah... yeah."

An Me looked at Kis.

"What is that?"

Kis looked at her.

"Are you living under a rock? It's a story about a boy who got lost in his world and transferred to another universe so he wouldn't starve to death. That world is unique, like ours. The people are like us, but instead of triangle heads, they have something called 'hair' and two eyes."

Blue-eyed maid: "…Creepy."

Then she looked at An Me. "By the way, why are you here, Ms. An Me? Yes, I know your name. Kis told me."

An Me looked at Kis. "Told you about me? Someone really cares about me, huh?"

Kis looked away. "Not buying it."

An Me just smiled.

 "Hm."

She touched her jaw, thinking, her eye staring at her feet. "And as for why I'm here... what the hell! I'm here for Tim!"

An Me looked at Kis. "You said Tim already got out of bed and can't be found anywhere, right?"

Kis nodded. "Yeah, I searched the whole mansion. Fal helped too, but she mostly just sat down every couple of minutes."

The blue-eyed maid or known as Fal, squeezed Kis's shoulder.

"Hey, I sat down so my chest would have more time to grow! Besides, the other maids are busy with books. You had no choice."

Kis: "You're still young. If you aren't picky with food, you won't be so skinny in the future."

Fal stopped squeezing her shoulder.

"It's not like I'm going to get overweight from overeating."

Kis just said, "Hm."

An Me watched the drama and sighed.

"Where did that kid even go?"

Tim's room was clean, with a few books on the table. The bed was white and ordinary. The window was open for some reason.
