Chapter 63 - White Spirit's Research

Denu and his mother had arrived. His hand was gripped by his mother. Nevilly was making sure he wouldn't run off somewhere else as he always used to do that.

"You want something?" Nevilly asked, her gaze landing on him.

"No. Can you leave me?" Denu pleaded, looking at her with his small eyes, attempting to make her leave him through those tiny eyes.

"Not happening." Nevilly replied without a second thought.

I don't get it. How can I go back?

Then his gaze landed on Payal, who had also arrived there with her father. She was looking at the dancing women, then she swung her neck toward him. Denu didn't break the eye contact.

Payal seemed to be saying something to her father before she left his hand and began to come toward Denu.

"Why is she coming here?"

"Who?" Nevilly turned her gaze to Payal. She let Payal reach them first.

"When did you two become friends?" Nevilly asked. Her asking that question was completely natural because they both used to brag about how much they hated each other.

"Well..." Payal hesitated. "He apologized today. So we are friends now." She took his free hand. Denu was mildly startled at the sudden contact, especially because of her.

"That you aren't alone. You won't run away. Go have fun." Nevilly let go of his hand. "Take care of him, he's a monkey."

What?

Denu stared at her with a deeply offended gaze.

"Okay." Payal nodded.

Nevilly began to head toward other women just to talk about things.

I want to go back but I don't know the way.

Denu felt frustrated at himself. His thoughts wondered if Belly would be safe or not and what would be happening in his actual present timeline in his absence.

They both sat on empty seats.

"Do you want to eat something?" Payal asked, her legs moving rapidly on the seat.

Before he could reply, he felt a jolt hit him and he got unconscious the next moment.

"You always do this weirdest stuff." Payal complained, seeing that as his another way to annoy her.

Divine of Peace was playing piano in the "Realm of Balance," Divines' home. Universes were like small balls floating around. No matter how far you looked, there were only universes levitating everywhere. The ground was normal grassy land caused by Divines of Nature. Except for those two there was nothing. Just White Spirit sat there, her perfection unmatched. Though with every click on the keys she was watching people's memories who were sent into deep slumber. That Denu's half of the soul was still out of his body and he was awake. So when she began to unfold his memories that resulted in Denu's unconsciousness. White Spirit was trying to find something in everyone's memories.

"Something funny that should make Fate laugh." While White Spirit's fingers were hitting on the keys, the keys worked as swipe buttons to switch to another memory.

"I will remove the deep slumber after watching all these."

Her fingers paused, analysing whatever memory she was on.

"Denu, typical human." There was no sign of bite in her tone. It was a simple statement she always made. Then her fingers began to move again.

As they did, Denu who was unconscious regained consciousness.

"Done?" Payal asked, assuming he was acting.

White Spirit stood from her seat. Upon her action the seat and piano as well turned into white butterflies before disappearing.

She yawned.

"Let's call everyone."

She lifted her hand. Then white butterflies appeared and turned into a mat.

"Go!" Multiple portals opened. Each one leading to a different Divine. In each one a white butterfly went.

Divine of Darkness, Fyuri, was wandering under the Niheart with Lavanya, looking at closed houses. Stopping away from there, each one had massive containers and those containers had different sweets, meals and other things.

The Lights who were up on the roof of the Cloud Houses brought them outside and placed them before their similar products. The attached bowls contained them then poured the product into the small amount in the bowls.

Then two butterflies came out of the portals. The portals closed.

The white butterflies began to revolve around Lavanya and Fyuri.

"She's calling." Fyuri said as the white butterflies completed the revolution and then disappeared.

Bluesy who was still sitting on the same seat but this time not eating, instead stroking her stomach because it was full now. Her tails moved in slow rhythm in quiet satisfaction.

A portal erupted near her. A white butterfly came out of it, stopping before Bluesy's face. Its wings released white particles.

"Bluesy is coming." She said. Upon her words the white butterfly disappeared as if it understood Bluesy's language.

Bluesy pushed her legs out of the seat before disappearing into a portal that opened in front of her.

Now Lyanna was left there, still on the counter, eyeing the Light in disbelief.

Divine of War was in an operation room disguised as a doctor. He was about to begin an operation but as he saw the white butterfly he didn't waste time and disappeared through a portal. The other doctors there were staring at the spot where Reon was standing and then turned their gazes at the patient in confusion and disbelief.

White Spirit waited in the Realm of Balance. One by one each Divine appeared. No one questioned at first. They all sat on the mat.

Peliorael and Aminu also arrived, making themselves comfortable on the mat.

"What's the matter?" Fyuri asked.

"I have checked every angel's memories. So I will be removing the deep slumber. Go, kill them."

No one questioned about Reon's outfit because it wasn't something different for them. He always did that.

All of the Divines stood and began to move in different directions.

"We got it." Reon said before he disappeared into a portal and the others disappeared as well in their own portals, except Peliorael and Aminu.

"Come on Aminu. We will do practical." Peliorael took Aminu's hand and they disappeared into a portal too.

Modern world, different timeline, Sahara desert.

The portal opened there and Peliorael and Aminu came out from it.

Peliorael's gaze lingered around, trying to find angels. Her grip was still tight on his hand.

"There." She pointed at the angel who was running in the desert, also confirming White Spirit had already removed deep slumber from the angels.

Aminu immediately lurched forward in the sand. His movements were too fast. The sand was flying high, blocking Peliorael's vision.

Then Peliorael went high, sitting in mid-air. Just her gaze was enough to silently command the sand itself. The sand hardened, appearing as an actual ground, no longer loose.

"I won't help." Peliorael shouted.

Aminu was already aiming for a strike on the angel's waist. Upon sensing danger the angel slammed a punch in his stomach before he could finish his strike, launching him up high. The angel's appearance was quite different than other angels. The wings were on her head like horns but the wings were moving. It was third phase though this angel didn't have any wings on her back.

"Lapses." Aminu whispered. Then he was teleported behind the angel. That area's time was paused. He landed a kick. Then he was teleported in front of the angel. The teleportation wasn't a separate act. Instead it was part of "Lapses."

His hand reached for a knife that was in his pocket then he slashed the angel's neck. The time was paused. No change appeared.

"A quick finish, good." Peliorael commented. The time wasn't paused more than a specific area.

Then Aminu stepped away from the angel, sliding the knife back in his pocket.

"End." Aminu whispered and the time was back to normal. The angel's head separated from her body.

"I did it." Aminu announced, a wide smile appearing on his face.

Then the angel's wings merged into themselves and her size began to increase.

Her skin turned red and burned. Her head was reaching to the sky. She had transformed into the same massive angel which was in Secondary Heaven's polluted area.

"This time, you aren't allowed to use 'Lapses'. We want other powers to be trained too." Peliorael instructed in a quiet challenging tone.
