Chapter 170 - Chapter 170: The First Choice

Several days passed peacefully.

For most people on Earth, nothing extraordinary happened.

No ancient ruins awakened.

No catastrophic beast tides appeared.

No international cultivation crises erupted.

And strangely-

That itself felt unusual.

Humanity had grown accustomed to living through constant change.

Yet now, for the first time in years, the world seemed to be stabilizing.

The systems built during the previous decade were finally beginning to mature.

Public cultivation centers operated smoothly.

Independent academies continued appearing across multiple nations.

Formation-assisted agriculture increased food production significantly.

Medical alchemy reduced mortality rates among awakeners.

Even spirit beast conflicts had decreased noticeably in several regions.

The foundation of a true cultivation civilization was slowly taking shape.

Inside Eastern Horizon Academy, a special gathering was taking place.

Not for governments.

Not for Saints.

Not for famous cultivators.

For students.

Hundreds of talented young cultivators from various regions had gathered within one of the academy's largest halls.

Many were considered geniuses by local standards.

Some came from wealthy families.

Others from ordinary backgrounds.

A few had only begun cultivating after public techniques became available.

At the center of the hall stood Principal Rudra.

His voice carried throughout the chamber.

"Today is not a competition."

The students immediately looked confused.

Most cultivation events involved rankings.

Challenges.

Rewards.

Recognition.

If this wasn't a competition, then what was it?

Rudra continued.

"Today, each of you will answer a single question."

A wave of curiosity spread through the hall.

"What path do you wish to build?"

Silence followed.

Not cultivate.

Not master.

Not inherit.

Build.

Many students exchanged puzzled glances.

A young swordsman finally raised his hand.

"Sir... what exactly does that mean?"

Rudra smiled faintly.

Because he had expected the question.

Before he could answer.

Another voice spoke from the rear of the hall.

Calm.

Steady.

Familiar.

"It means what will remain after you're gone."

Every student immediately turned.

Krishak had arrived.

Unlike most public appearances, there was no grand entrance.

No overwhelming aura.

No display of power.

He simply walked forward and stood beside the principal.

Yet the entire atmosphere shifted immediately.

Not because of fear.

But because everyone understood who he was.

The founder of the modern cultivation movement.

The man whose teachings had changed the world.

The hall became completely silent.

Krishak's gaze moved across the students calmly.

Then he spoke.

"Strength disappears."

His voice remained quiet.

Yet everyone heard it clearly.

"Wealth disappears."

"Status disappears."

''Even empires eventually disappear."

The students listened attentively.

"But the systems you create can survive far longer."

Several students frowned thoughtfully.

Krishak continued.

"A blacksmith doesn't only forge weapons."

"He creates tools that help civilization advance."

Some students immediately thought of Rohon.

Because he sold the equipments required to other via market and they were far durable and stronger than what they used to be which indirectly increased combat strength and reduction in death rate since the beginning of awakening era.

"An alchemist doesn't only create pills."

"They create health, stability, and longevity."

Others thought of Meera.

It was because of her that there is decrease in death, injury and people can even survive in serious injuries.

"A formation master doesn't only build arrays."

"They create protection."

Tara.

Now a days, peoples do not have to worry about beasts invasion or sudden attack of powerhouses.

In fact, after she had successfully created city protection arrays. Many organisations asked her to make a protection array for them at Exorbitant price.

Now most of cities are equipped with these arrays.

"A merchant doesn't only move resources."

"They connect people."

Arun.

He was not a important figure in many major projects. Through investment he has connected multiple companies, industries and reasearch laboratories.

This way many peoples have learned to invent in new project which may be useful in future. These project included machines which improves lifestyle of both awakeners and non- awakened once. After all even with increase in cultivation manual, resources and spritual energy, they can not forget what peoples relied on before era of awakening. Who knows someday machines can also have the strength of a saint realm expert.

" Beast tamers and summoner do not only use there contracted beasts to fight"

" They can also help in sensing danger, track and check large areas."

Karan.

Afterall, beasts have danger instincts since birth. Although some have high danger awareness and some don't but most of the beasts do have their own advantages and disadvantages. It is upto the tamer or summoner to improve them.

One by one-

The students began understanding.

Cultivation was larger than personal power.

Far larger.

A young girl eventually raised her hand.

"Then what if someone wants to become strong?"

Krishak looked toward her.

His answer came immediately.

"Then become strong."

The students blinked.

Krishak's expression remained calm.

"There is nothing wrong with seeking strength."

Many visibly relaxed.

"But ask yourself why."

Silence returned.

Because that question was far more difficult.

Why?

Why pursue strength?

For fame?

Protection?

Freedom?

Pride?

Responsibility?

Each answer would create a different cultivator.

The hall remained quiet for several minutes afterward.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

They were thinking.

And that was exactly the point.

Later that evening—

The students left with countless thoughts occupying their minds.

Some remained uncertain.

Others felt inspired.

A few seemed completely lost.

Yet all of them carried one thing away from the gathering.

A question.

And questions often changed lives more than answers ever could.

Meanwhile, outside the academy

Krishak walked alone through the mountain pathways.

The sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon.

Golden light painted the sky.

His thoughts drifted briefly toward his disciples.

Toward his family.

Toward humanity itself.

The younger generation was growing.

Faster than expected.

Perhaps one day—

Earth would produce individuals capable of surpassing everything currently imaginable.

Not because he guided them.

But because civilization itself had matured enough to support them.

That was the future he wanted to see.

And somewhere nearby—

Hidden behind a large tree

His sister quietly watched him.

She had attended the gathering secretly.

And now-

For the first time

She felt as though she finally understood something.

She did not need to become another Krishak.

She only needed to become herself.

A smile slowly appeared on her face.

For a cultivator-

The first true step was not gaining power.

It was choosing a direction.

And tonight-

She had finally begun to find hers.
