Chapter 81 - chapter 81

In the middle of a field of shattered stone stood a man in pitch-black clothing, as if woven from an eternal night. His white hair fell sharply across his forehead, and his face was adorned with a deep scar stretching from his temple to his jaw—a witness to battles unwritten in the books of history. His name was Karyo.

On the other side stood his opponent, Enad, a man exuding a terrifying calm. His eyes glowed with a strange blue flicker, an ability known as the "Blue Eyes"—an eye that precedes time and sees energy paths before they take shape.

Enad (Wiping a thread of blood from the corner of his mouth):

"You still insist on fighting with half your strength, Karyo? Did that scar on your face not teach you that complacency with me is a slow suicide?"

Karyo (In a deep, calm voice):

"You know, Enad... if I were to use the full 'Black Hole,' we wouldn't find any ground left to stand on and argue. An entire continent might vanish into nothingness. I am not looking to destroy the world; I am only looking to subdue you."

Enad (Laughing mockingly):

"Subdue me? With your 'little holes'? Those that resemble needle pricks? Show me something worthy of me opening the full capacity of my eyes."

Without warning, Karyo vanished from his spot. He moved with a speed surpassing human perception. Suddenly, tiny, infinitesimal black spheres appeared around Enad, pulling everything toward their center with a terrifying suction force.

Karyo: "Micro-holes... First Station!"

The rocks cracked beneath Enad's feet and began to be drawn toward those holes. But Enad did not move; instead, his eyes glowed with pure blue, and his body began to move in precise paths, evading the centers of attraction by only millimeters.

Enad: "I see the path of attraction, Karyo. My eyes see the void before you create it. Is this all you have?"

Enad waved his hand, and waves of blue energy, sharp as blades, sliced through the air toward Karyo. Karyo responded by opening a small hole in front of his hand; the black gap swallowed Enad's energy completely, turning it into nothing.

Karyo: "Why do we continue this, Enad? We both know we aren't enemies in the traditional sense. We are merely two sides of a scale that refuses to balance."

Enad (Lunging toward Karyo and delivering a strike coated in blue energy):

"Because one of us must fall so the other can rest! Your existence disturbs the balance of the 'Eyes,' and your ability to erase matter is a curse that no one can bear."

The two exchanged a barrage of punches that created sonic booms with every collision. Karyo planted small holes in the air to redirect Enad's strikes, and Enad used his vision to predict where those holes would appear before they formed.

Karyo (Panting slightly):

"You are using the 'Blue Eyes' at their lowest level as well. Why don't you release them? Do you fear seeing a future you won't like?"

Enad: "I fear seeing your end, Karyo... and I am not yet ready to bid farewell to the only opponent who understands me."

After an hour of grueling combat that turned the terrain into deep craters, the two retreated. Karyo was holding his shoulder, and Enad felt the strain in his eyes.

Karyo: "Atheria fell today. Did you feel it?"

Enad stopped moving and looked toward the distant sky with his blue eyes.

Enad: "Yes... the Great Collapse. The 'stars' that fell upon it were not random. A third party has begun to move—a party that recognizes neither my eyes nor your holes."

Karyo (Adjusting his black clothes):

"Then perhaps we should postpone our little dispute. If those forces have begun to appear, the world beneath us will need protection... or perhaps it needs someone to erase it before they reach it."

Enad: "Always extreme in your solutions. Go, Karyo... vanish into your darkness for now. But remember, next time I won't just watch; I will rip those holes out from their roots."

Karyo (With a cold smile):

"I will be waiting, Enad. Next time, perhaps we will have found a real reason to fight, rather than just testing our identities."

Karyo vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving behind a fading black dust, while Enad remained standing amidst the wreckage.
