Chapter 37: The Cemetery of Shadows and the Whispers of the Dead

Reaching the Gates of Hell

After several hours of dragging their exhausted bodies through the thorns and mist of the forest, they reached the "Cemetery of Shadows," where the air smelled of death. The Cemetery of Shadows was a place where sunlight never reached the ground. Morgana pointed her black staff at a broken headstone and said: "Welcome to your real home... the Cemetery of Shadows! Yes, Hahaha! Here, there are thousands of souls who were stubborn like you; now, they are nothing but lost, silent shadows."

The Pain of Lost Souls

While Rina, Diari, and the father were tied in the middle of the cemetery, Morgana performed another spell. Suddenly, from the graves, black and white shadows of those previously killed by Liva's mother and Morgana appeared. Their forms were strange, terrifying, and bloody—shapes beyond imagination. These souls began whispering into Rina's ears: "Surrender... end the pain... become a shadow like us." Rina's mind felt like it was going to explode; those voices felt like knives entering her soul. Diari was moaning in his cage as the shadows crawled over his body like nightmares.

Morgana and the Plan to Drain the Light

Morgana turned to Liva's mother and said: "Here, Rina's power will completely fade and vanish. This cemetery buries every hope. Anyone who wants to die early should come here! Hahaha! Look at the color of her eyes, they are fading away." Liva, mocking as always, stood before Rina and said: "Rina, even the dead here tell you that you are nothing. Look at your father, he's becoming one of the dead in this cemetery." Rina's father, who had no strength left to speak, only looked deeply at Rina as if to say: "Don't listen to them."

Feeling a Vibration in the Blood

Amidst all that darkness and the moaning of souls, Rina felt something strange. At the moment when all hope seemed to be dying, the lost mark on her neck began to vibrate very faintly, but warmly. Rina understood that although this cemetery was dark, it was full of spiritual energy. She realized it was a place where humans are killed and escape is impossible. Rina said in her heart: "You brought me to a place where the dead rule? Fine... but you don't know that I am the daughter of the one who carries light in his blood." Rina felt her blood spilled on the cursed ground, as if trying to receive a message from the earth.

End of the Chapter: Morgana's Final Threat

Morgana went to Liva's mother and said: "I will keep them here for three more days. If those three days pass and Rina doesn't wake the mark for us, things will turn bad. I will consume the souls of all three and give their bodies to Liva to play with." Liva's mother replied with a terrifying laugh: "I agree." Rina looked at Diari, whose eyes were closing as if he were dying, then she looked at her father. Rina began to recite the same prayer her father used to say, but in a different way... like a calling to the hidden powers beneath the earth.
