Chapter 42 - Chapter 40: The Logic of the Unbeatable

[AUTHOR NOTE: Here is the promised extra chapter for 5 reviews.]

District 2. Container Storage Area.

Yuuya looked at the white-haired boy.

Accelerator still had bruises on his face from the day before. Although Vector Manipulation could optimize blood flow to hide discoloration, it couldn't instantly repair soft tissue damage or inflammation.

"Hehehe... I knew this would happen."

Accelerator's red eyes twisted with madness.

"Thank you so much for taking care of me yesterday. I'll repay you today... tenfold. No, a hundredfold!"

"The thought of tearing you to pieces... it makes me tremble with excitement, you bastard!"

Yuuya didn't react to the killing intent. He just slouched, sighing with exaggerated disappointment.

"Sigh... I thought my punch yesterday would knock some sense into you. But I guess I was wrong."

Yuuya shook his head.

"The Number One... the 'Smartest Brain in Academy City'... turns out you're just a stupid brat."

"Do you think I'll listen to your lecture? Or are you trying to lower my guard to use some cheap trick again?"

Accelerator spat on the ground.

"Sorry. No way."

THUMP!

Accelerator stomped his foot.

He didn't just step; he rewrote the vector of the impact.

The hard concrete strata experienced a massive upward vibration. Radial cracks exploded outward with Accelerator at the center.

CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!

The asphalt shattered into thousands of fist-sized rocks. Then, Accelerator kicked the air.

BOOM!

The stones launched into the sky like anti-material rounds. They filled the air, creating a dense, chaotic field of flying debris.

Clang-Clang-Clang!

The sound was deafening, like heavy rain hitting a tin roof.

Yuuya raised an eyebrow.

'Impressive. He turned the environment into chaff.'

Teleporters—spatial users—required precise calculations to move. If the air was filled with erratic, high-speed debris, calculating a safe coordinate became impossible. One wrong move, and you'd teleport a rock into your brain.

"Spatial Movement... Calculation is impossible in such a dense area!"

Accelerator laughed maniacally.

"You beast! Whether you want to challenge the Strongest or play Hero... I will give you a glorious death! Thank me! HAHAHA!"

WHOOSH!

Four powerful tornadoes condensed on Accelerator's back, acting like wings.

He crushed the asphalt beneath him and launched himself at Yuuya like a rocket, tearing through the rain of stones.

Yuuya stood his ground.

"You think I need to teleport to hit you? That's your first mistake."

"Have you forgotten that I knocked you out yesterday with my bare hands?"

Yuuya watched the white blur rushing toward him. He clenched his fist.

'I can't use force reflection. If I reflect his charge, he'll die.'

'The Star Grail creates a closed world around me. His vectors don't apply to my skin. My fist exists outside his calculations.'

Accelerator charged through the stone rain, deflecting the fragments effortlessly. He reached out, his fingers curled into claws, ready to reverse Yuuya's blood flow.

"Die!"

"How pathetic."

Yuuya swung his fist.

It wasn't fast. It wasn't flashy. It was just a punch.

Accelerator saw it coming. His Reflex was active. Anything that touched him would be redirected.

BAM!

Yuuya's fist connected with Accelerator's stomach.

The Reflex didn't activate. It didn't even register an attack. It was like a ghost passing through a wall, only the ghost hit like a truck.

"Gah—?!"

Accelerator's grinning face instantly contorted. His eyes bulged. His mouth fell open, spraying saliva and stomach acid.

CRASH!

His body flew backward, launching into a stack of shipping containers like a cannonball.

SCREECH—BOOM!

The steel containers dented, buckled, and collapsed backward in a domino effect.

Accelerator slid down the twisted metal, hitting the concrete face-first.

"Guh... Haa... Haa..."

He clutched his abdomen, retching. The pain was blinding. He couldn't scream. He couldn't breathe.

His red pupils shrank to pinpoints, trembling violently.

'It hurts... it hurts so much...'

'I got hit... The Reflex... it didn't work! Why?!'

"So," a voice drifted over the wreckage. "You don't think I used a cheap trick anymore, do you?"

Yuuya walked through the dust, hands in his pockets.

"That punch used the force of a normal athletic human. Well... maybe a bit more. But I held back."

He stood over the fallen Number One.

"You probably won't be able to stand for a minute. So, here's your choice."

"Do you want to use Vector Manipulation to numb the pain and fight me again? I can do this all day until you're broken."

"Or... do you want to listen to me properly?"

Accelerator raised his head. His face was pale, streaked with sweat and bile.

"Don't... look down on me... you lowlife!"

ROAR!

The air around him screamed.

Accelerator forced himself up, manipulating the wind vectors.

Dust and debris swirled into a visible vortex.

[Wind Velocity: 120 m/s]

[Classification: F5 Tornado]

It was a storm capable of ripping buildings from their foundations. A force that surpassed conventional missiles.

'If he ignores vectors... maybe it's a Spatial Barrier?' Accelerator analyzed frantically through the pain.

'Does he distort space to bypass the hit? No... if it was space, the wind would warp around him.'

'But the wind isn't warping. It's vanishing.'

'What kind of ability is this?!'

Accelerator screamed, launching the F5 tornado directly at Yuuya.

"DIE!!!"

The storm roared. It tore up the concrete. It swallowed the space between them.

And the moment it touched Yuuya's skin...

Poof.

It dissipated.

Like a candle flame pinched by fingers. The chaotic vectors simply ceased to exist upon contact.

"Impossible..."

Accelerator's eyes widened. He looked at Yuuya like he was looking at a monster from another dimension.

"It violates the laws of physics... It's like a black hole..."

"What's impossible?"

Yuuya stepped through the dying breeze.

"You hit me. I hit you back. That's how fights work."

He grabbed Accelerator's collar, hauling the slender boy up.

"Ah—"

POW!

Yuuya drove his other fist into Accelerator's stomach again.

"Ugh—!"

Accelerator gagged, vomiting a mouthful of sour coffee onto the pavement. He went limp, curling up like a shrimp as Yuuya dropped him.
