Submitting to a ninja's brute force and being squeezed for money was already humiliating enough. But this guy? He wanted to be both the leader of a ninja village and a daimyo at the same time.
That was basically saying: "Yeah, I'm the rules now."
For decades, the system had been clear—daimyo ruled, ninja villages obeyed (at least on the surface). Even the Five Great Nations followed that structure.
But Naruto? He just kicked that system in the balls.
If Kado actually submitted, he'd instantly become a target for other daimyos—basically a walking "kill me" sign.
But if he resisted right now… yeah, he might not even live to see tomorrow's sunrise.

While Kado was drowning in his own thoughts, the battle in the distance finally started wrapping up.
Even though Zabuza and Haku fought like their lives depended on it (because they did), the gap between them and Kisame Hoshigaki was just too damn big.
The Kubikiribōchō shattered.
Samehada greedily devoured Zabuza's chakra and blood like it hadn't eaten in weeks.
Even Haku's Ice Release, which somewhat countered Water Release, couldn't fully suppress Kisame. His techniques weren't just "water"—they were basically mini oceans.
Seeing things going to shit, Naruto finally moved.
He jumped into the flooded battlefield and casually manipulated the water flow—saving Zabuza and Haku without anyone even noticing how.
Then—
Boom.
In an instant, he appeared in front of Kisame and punched him straight in the gut, wind chakra exploding on impact.
Kisame flew over ten meters back like a broken kite and slammed into a concrete wall.
He slowly got up, frowning.
The damage wasn't too serious… but that chakra—
Familiar.
For a split second, Kisame thought of the Fourth Mizukage.
But that didn't make sense.
The guy in front of him clearly used Wind Release on a ridiculous level.
That left only one answer—
The leader of Uzushio Village… Menma (Naruto).
And from the intel he had?
This guy was a monster—proficient in Wind, Water, sealing jutsu, and even techniques similar to a Tailed Beast Bomb.
Kisame's blood started boiling.
"Now this is interesting…"
Grinning, he grabbed Samehada and charged.
Naruto didn't dodge.
Slash!
Samehada struck him directly—
—and Naruto burst into smoke.
A shadow clone.
Before Kisame could react—
Naruto appeared above him.
"Rasengan."
BOOM.
Kisame was smashed straight into the ground like a nail being hammered down, and Samehada flew out of his hand.
Naruto stepped forward, ready to finish him—
—but suddenly, a vortex appeared.
Kisame was dragged away.
Obito.
Naruto clicked his tongue and looked at the disappearing space-time ripple.
"Tch… cockroach won't die."
Still, he casually picked up Samehada and walked toward Zabuza and Haku.
Meanwhile—
Kisame, who had just been saved, stared at Obito.
"I can still fight."
Obito didn't even look at him properly.
"If you keep fighting, you'll lose. No—worse, you'll die."
But that wasn't the real reason.
What really bothered Obito… was the Rasengan.
That jutsu wasn't common.
Very few people in the ninja world could use it properly.
And one of them—
Minato Namikaze.
Combine that with Naruto's previous techniques, his behavior, and the way he saved people…
A terrifying thought crossed Obito's mind:
What if… Uzushio's leader isn't just some Uzumaki survivor…
What if it's Minato?
That would explain everything.
And if that was true…
Then this whole situation just got a hell of a lot more dangerous.
Kisame noticed Obito's silence and didn't ask further. He simply nodded.
Loyalty first. Questions later.
Back on the battlefield—
With Kisame gone, the fight between Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha became irrelevant.
Shisui seized an opening and split into multiple afterimages, unleashing large-scale Fire Release from all directions.
Itachi was forced to use Amaterasu to burn through the flames and retreat.
Shisui didn't chase.
He knew the truth—
He couldn't beat Itachi head-on.
His goal was simple: drain Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan.
Once the eye power ran dry, Itachi wouldn't be nearly as terrifying.
Watching Itachi disappear into the distance, Shisui immediately headed toward Naruto.
Naruto was already healing Zabuza and Haku with medical ninjutsu.
"Lord Menma," Shisui said quickly, "it's my failure. I couldn't capture Itachi."
Even Zabuza looked pissed. The gap between him and Kisame was… humiliating.
Naruto shook his head.
"Itachi and Kisame are both Kage-level. Losing to them isn't shameful."
Then his tone sharpened slightly.
"But when we get back, train harder. Next time, I expect you to handle enemies like that on your own."
"Yes, Lord Menma."
"First deal with the flood. Then rest. Tomorrow—we take over Kado's assets… and the Land of Waves."
Everyone nodded.
Later—
Naruto stood alone atop a tower, looking down at the broken, miserable island.
Kado wasn't entirely wrong.
Most ninjas?
They were just glorified mercenaries—good at killing, terrible at ruling.
That's why, despite all their power, they still got bossed around by nobles and rich bastards.
Because they never thought beyond war.
Never thought about building.
That's why conflicts kept piling up… until everything eventually exploded into a full-scale world war.
Naruto exhaled slowly.
"That ends with me."
Just then—
A system notification popped into his mind.
Haku's affection has reached "Recognition."
You have obtained: Ice Release Bloodline Usage Knowledge.
Wind and Water chakra affinity increased.
Naruto blinked.
"Oh right… I actually have a system."
He almost forgot about it.
The rewards were small—honestly, kind of like mosquito bites.
But hey…
Even a mosquito's meat is still meat.
And boosting chakra affinity? Not bad at all.
Naruto smirked slightly.
With the village growing stronger, and loyalty increasing…
Sooner or later—
He'd become a ninja with no weaknesses at all.
