After hearing this, Shisui Uchiha frowned deeply.
It did sound like a reasonable explanation—but something still felt off. Very off. He just couldn't put his finger on it.
After a moment of silence, Shisui asked,
"So that's why you kept Sasuke alive?"
Itachi met his gaze and nodded without hesitation.
"That's right. I killed our parents in front of Sasuke to force him to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. Unfortunately… his hatred wasn't strong enough."
A faint hint of disappointment appeared in his eyes.
"He only awakened the two-tomoe Sharingan. Honestly? That was pathetic."
Shisui's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"And you're not worried I'll just kill Sasuke and ruin your grand little plan?"
Itachi paused—then suddenly burst into laughter.
"I told you all this because…" his voice turned cold, "you're not leaving here alive."
He continued calmly:
"Did you really think only Kisame and I came to the Land of Waves?"
Before Shisui could respond—
Black flames erupted.
Amaterasu.
The pitch-black fire clung instantly to the edge of Shisui's clothes.
Without hesitation, Shisui sliced off the burning fabric—but the flames didn't go out. They continued devouring everything they touched.
His eyes locked onto the blood trickling from Itachi's Mangekyō.
"So this is your Mangekyō ability?"
Itachi smirked faintly.
"Of course. The inextinguishable flames of Amaterasu."
His tone turned mocking.
"Come on, Shisui… show me your Mangekyō Sharingan. Or what—did someone take it from you?"
Shisui snorted coldly.
In the next instant, his body split into a dozen afterimages.
"Even without it… I'm still 'Shisui of the Body Flicker.'"
His voice turned icy.
"I'll capture you alive… and make you kneel at the Naka Shrine."
"Naka Shrine?" Itachi's expression was indifferent. "I'll be waiting."
Meanwhile—
The flood forced Kado out of his secret room.
Standing on the third-floor balcony, he stared at the battlefield in the distance.
Water surged through the streets. Ice spread across the ground. The destruction looked like a damn natural disaster.
For the first time in his life… Kado felt small.
He had hired plenty of ninjas before—but this level of power?
It was insane.
If people like this decided to kill nobles… who the hell could stop them?
Behind him, Obito Uchiha watched quietly, a faint smile on his face. He enjoyed moments like this—the superiority of being a shinobi, the fear in a rich man's eyes.
But soon, his expression changed.
In the distance, atop a tall tower, a figure stood watching the battlefield.
That outfit…
Obito would never forget it.
The leader of Uzumaki Village.
Just as Obito frowned—
A figure appeared beside him in an instant.
Naruto Uzumaki.
A spiraling sphere of chakra—Rasengan—formed in his hand, humming with deadly intent.
Obito's pupils shrank slightly.
"Easy now," he said calmly. "Wouldn't want to accidentally kill Mr. Kado. He's quite valuable, you know."
Naruto paused… then slowly dispelled the Rasengan.
His expression darkened.
"This is the third time you've messed with me," Naruto said coldly. "Next time, I won't hold back."
"Third time?" Obito frowned slightly, confused.
Before he could think further—
Naruto suddenly threw the Rasengan straight at him.
Obito phased through it, his face turning ugly.
"…Didn't you just say 'next time'?"
Naruto shrugged casually.
"Yeah, well. I can't kill you anyway. Just testing my control."
Obito's expression darkened.
"I originally planned to attack your subordinates while you were away," he said coldly. "Didn't expect it to backfire. You win this round."
His tone dropped further.
"But next time… it won't be so simple."
His body began to dissolve—
Turning into a mass of white Zetsu.
Just like before, he chose to retreat rather than risk everything. Stirring chaos was easier than direct confrontation—and far more effective.
After all, the pressure wasn't on him.
It was on Nagato.
With Obito gone, only Naruto and Kado remained on the balcony.
Kado, who had overheard everything, was trembling.
"You… you're the leader of Uzumaki Village?" he stuttered. "You're the one who sent those ninjas after me?"
Naruto nodded casually.
"That's right. Your men attacked my country first."
"You don't get to poke a hornet's nest and walk away."
Kado swallowed hard, forcing himself to stay calm.
"I understand. I'll compensate your losses. Whatever your village needs, my company will provide."
Naruto said nothing—just stared at him.
That silence was worse than any threat.
Kado clenched his teeth.
"…Ten million ryo. That's enough to buy the lives of dozens of Jonin."
Naruto shook his head slightly.
"Too cheap."
Kado's face stiffened.
"…Then what do you want?"
Naruto looked at him like he was stupid.
"Simple."
"I want half of your company's shares."
"And from now on… the Land of Waves falls under the jurisdiction of the Land of Uzumaki."
Silence.
Kado's expression twisted.
"That's too greedy," he said coldly. "You think the great nations will just sit back and let you annex another country?"
Naruto smiled.
"I'm not negotiating."
"I'm informing you."
His voice turned ice-cold.
"Refuse… and your company disappears. Completely."
Kado snapped.
"That's robbery!"
Naruto shrugged.
"Yeah. It is."
"But it's still cleaner than what you've been doing—exploiting civilians and smuggling your way to the top."
"At least under my rule… people won't be living like starving dogs."
Kado sneered.
"You ninjas only know how to fight and kill. What do you know about running a country? You'll just make things worse."
Naruto's gaze sharpened.
"That's why I'm both the village leader… and the daimyo."
"No more broken system where the village and the country pull in different directions."
He stepped forward slightly.
"I'm not asking for your opinion."
"I'm telling you—"
"The era is changing."
"And I'm the one who's going to end the old world."
Naruto turned his gaze back to the battlefield.
"Now… watch."
"Let's see how this ends."
