Chapter 14 - Violent Intervention

Bakugo was horrified as he stared at the score Izuku received. 705.3 meters, just a bit further than his score. 'What the fuck?! A quirk?! This bastard had a Quirk all this time?!' His scowl was for all the world to see as he used his quirk to blast towards Izuku.

"DEKU! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION ASSHOLE!!!" Bakugo shouted. Aizawa narrowed his eyes, already planning to activate his Quirk to temporarily erase Bakugo's Quirk, but then he saw Sukuna move from the corner of his vision.

'Oh boy, this is one hell of a first day.' He thought to himself, preparing to erase both their Quirks. Yes, Sukuna was 100% jumping in. He isn't doing it to protect Izuku, nor he was trying to play the hero.

He just wanted to punch Bakugo in the face, and maybe get him to stop being a nuisance in his school life.

Aizawa used his Quirk, effectively 'erasing' both Sukuna's and Bakugo's Quirk, the effects quickly showing with Bakugo as his explosions disappeared. But then Aizawa remembered something, even if Sukuna's Quirk was disabled, he still moved like he had one. His performance before fighting the Zero Pointer robot was proof. Well, there's only one outcome.

Bakugo is done for.

An uncomfortable bang could be heard across the field as Sukuna's fist collided straight into Bakugo's face, sending the boy flying back and tumbling on the ground.

'Ah, I probably shouldn't have done that. How can I make friends like Mina told me to.' He thought to himself before shaking his head, looking down at Bakugo holding his bleeding nose.

"I still haven't gotten my thank you for saving your ass the other day... Yeah, I'm petty like that..."

"What the hell is wrong with you?! This is none of your damn business! This is between me and Deku!" Bakugo shouted as he got up. Sukuna shrugged.

"Meh, just wanted to punch you in your stupid face."

"WHY YOU—Shit!" Bakugo jumped back as Sukuna appeared in front of him again, hands in his pockets.

"You're wasting everyone's time, especially mine. I don't have time for your insolence, Bakugo. I'm here to learn how to be a hero, not watching you cause trouble like you're a villain. And I'm sure everyone here can agree with me that you're a nuisance..." Bakugo slowly looked at the rest of the class. Yes, they were concerned for his injuries, but none of them stepped in, for it would mean that they were fine with Bakugo's destructive behavior.

Sukuna originally just wanted to punch and leave. But while he was at it, might as well try to forcefully create a peaceful environment in the class for the class's wellbeing, that would certainly save him and the others(only Mina) some headaches.

"Sorry to break it to you, but you are not intimidating at the slightest, you're a barking dog who just so happens to have a good Quirk, and you even sound like one. Nah wait, calling you a barking dog is insulting to dogs. You're annoying, plain and simple. With that attitude, you'd be better off as a villain."

"Woah man don't you think you're going a little too far? Calling him a villain straight up is kinda uncool." Kirishima stepped in. Mina watched, worry in her eyes. Sukuna was never like this, he was never this... violent.

Sukuna glanced at him lazily. "I'm just stating the obvious. If ego is all he's got, then he's adjacent to one. You could hand him a hero license and he'd still make everyone wish it was fake. You can tell no one keeps him in check..." He stared down at Bakugo, straight into his soul.

"You could scream you're better than anyone else all you want, but one thing's for sure. There's always someone better than you..." Bakugo's breathing became erratic as he stared straight into Sukuna's eyes, it was like staring into the eyes of a demon.

"You got that—" Sukuna narrowed his eyes as he felt a tug at his ear. He glanced down, seeing Mina pulling on his ear with a stern expression, but all Sukuna saw was just a pouting Mina.

"You're making everyone uncomfortable." Mina warned. Sukuna stared down at her for a moment before sighing in defeat.

"Whatever..." Sukuna let himself be dragged by Mina still tugging on his ear. Aizawa sighed to himself, but secretly he was kind of glad that Sukuna did what he did. From his own evaluation of Bakugo when he made a background check, the kid had a lot of behavioral issues.

"Bakugo, detention after school for starting a fight, and get yourself to Recovery Girl. Sukuna, detention as well for injuring him." He pointed at Bakugo and Sukuna. The pink haired boy sighed while Bakugo scowled, even though UA is different from normal schools, it still has some of the usual unreasonable traditions.

"Never had detention before. Sounds fun." Sukuna commented before he was slapped in the arm by Mina. Aizawa sighed as everything was back under control again.

"Back to the main point, it's time to present the results." Aizawa held up his device as a hologram popped up. "The total is simply an aggregate sum of each of your scores, if I recite it one by one it'd take a billion years, so just take a look for yourselves. Oh and by the way...." He grinned at them again.

"The expulsion thing? Yeah that was a lie. It was just a logical ruse to make you give your all." He revealed as most of the class shouted in disbelief.

"Seriously you guys? I thought it was pretty obvious..." Sukuna glanced at a black haired girl named Yaoyorozu Momo sighing to herself, with Mina nodding in agreement. He looked back at the ranking.

'Well at least some people here can be logical...' He thought, staring at his rank, which was number 1. A few minutes later, after Aizawa gave each of them some pointers, the hologram disappeared before he turned his back onto them.

"That's it for today, your curriculum sheets are back at your classrooms so give them a once-over. Midoriya, get yourself to Recovery Girl. Class dismissed. Sukuna, stay in class for detention, I'll make sure Bakugo doesn't run away."

...

"Why did you do that?" Ida confronted Sukuna while they were in the changing room once more.

"Recall what happened before sensei came into class and you'll know why." Sukuna replied bluntly. Ida's arms moved around in strange chopping patterns, a rather peculiar tic.

"But that isn't hero like at all! Violence is not a teaching tool, and you are violating every principle a hero must uphold! You should've advised him on the side, not humiliate him in front of everyone!" Ida argued, causing everyone in the room to stare at them silently, wondering how this would play out.

"You seriously think Bakugo can be reasoned with? If you want proof, ask Midoriya. Man... looks like we have ourselves a comedian in class 1-A." Sukuna replied to Ida with an amused expression.

"To be a hero, you sometimes need to be the villain. You understand that much, right?"

"B-but—"

"You all may dislike what I did, I have no qualms about that, and maybe I could've done it better. But you'll realize soon enough that I just saved all of your asses from being blown off by him."

Sukuna put on his school uniform before walking to the door, not bothering to look at Ida's stunned expression anymore.

"I got detention to attend. I'll leave you guys to it. Ciao."
