Chapter 13 - Test Results

The once innocent Quirk Apprehension Test turned into living hell for class 1-A, safe for some students like Bakugo, who wasn't even fazed by his sensei's threats due to his overwhelming confidence in his own quirk and physical abilities.

"All of you have phones, and I'm sure you scroll reels all the time, so you should have some idea from some videos that this world isn't fair at the slightest, I'm sure kids like you know that much. Natural disasters, power-hungry maniacs, catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities. Unfairness rules the world, you should be lucky that you got into UA." Aizawa began as the students stared at him, some with their mouths agape.

"Our job as heroes is to push back that unfairness, it's also our job to restore reason with the responsibilities pushed onto us, and with the quirks we were born with. If you wanna go pro, you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years, UA will be your hell, throwing one hardship after another at you."

He then motioned them with his index finger, a 'come at me' kind of signal. "So, go beyond. Plus Ultra style. Prove to me it's no mistake that you're here."

Even though Aizawa had two eyes, it felt like he was staring into each and every student present. Some gulped, some mentally hardened themselves, ready to face the trials to come. Sukuna just dug his ears.

"Come on then, show me what you got."

....

"You're fast..." Sukuna glanced at Tenya Ida, the glasses wearing, dark blue haired boy that had a argument with Bakugo a while ago. They had just finished the 50 meter dash, which should be Ida's strong suit due to his Quirk called Engine, giving him car-like engines in each of his calves, allowing him to have incredible running speed and extreme kicking power.

Even with that quirk, Sukuna still gave him a run for his money. During the first ten meters of the run, Ida was already at full speed while Sukuna seemed like he wasn't even trying. His speed was like a blur compared to Ida's.

"What kind of Quirk do you have?" Ida questioned after regaining his breath.

"The Demon King kind.." Sukuna muttered half-heartedly as he walked past him.

"What kind of Quirk..." Ida shook his head repeatedly before he could finish his sentence. 'We listen, we don't judge.' He chanted in his mind, walking awkwardly behind Sukuna.

"Your boyfriend's really killing it right now." Mina gasped as she looked at the purple haired girl with headphone jacks hanging down her ears.

"H-he's not my b-boyfriend!" Mina stuttered out, her pink face darkening a little. The girl, whom Mina knew as Kyoka Jiro after a brief introduction a while ago, raised an eyebrow at her.

"Really? You two were hugging it out just a while ago when you got the same class and you're telling me he's not your special someone?" Jiro raised an eyebrow at her.

"W-well, th-that's what friends d-do all the time! Hahaha..." Mina laughed awkwardly, walking a little faster to get out of her situation. Jirou was deadpanning at her.

"Yeah keep telling yourself that, Mina."

As the 50 meter dash test was over, the class went through multiple other tests, with Sukuna excelling in all of them, save for the sustained sideways jump test, which an extremely short boy named Minoru Mineta beat him just by a little bit using his own Quirk.

After the seventh test, everyone now had to go through the softball throw test. Sukuna, having already completed the test before, watched as Bakugo achieved 705.2 meters for the softball throw. The blonde boy scowled as he stomped away from the pitching zone, presumably upset that he didn't get a higher score than Sukuna's.

"Pshh... What a man-child, that guy..." Jiro snorted to herself. 'He should be thankful he was born with a Quirk like that. Though having a quirk like that must've gotten to his head.' She mused, shaking her head.

Sukuna watched as Ochaco Uraraka received an 'infinity' mark due to her quirk allowing objects to float with a touch of her fingertips. It was no wonder she was in the top ten rankings in the entrance exams. Then the green haired boy with freckles stood up. From what he heard from chatter, Izuku Midoriya was his name. And at the moment, Izuku was the definition of nervous and panic.

"Midoriya's not doing too well is he." Ida commented as the green haired boy shakily stepped in the pitching zone. Bakugo snorted.

"Ya think?! Quirkless bastard like him is gonna end up getting expelled!" Bakugo shouted, purposefully letting Izuku hear him, lowering his confidence.

"Quirkless?! Didn't you see what he did during the entrance exams?!"

"I was in another arena dumbass! Course I didn't see it!"

"Huh, Bakugo says Midoriya's quirkless but Ida says he's not. What's up with that..." Denki mumbled.

"Late bloomer maybe..." Kirishima mumbled back. Sukuna was in deep thought, it seems like Izuku was more of an anomaly than the pink haired boy thought.

'Bakugo must have an history with Izuku, maybe they were in the same middle school before this. Having said that, no wonder why Izuku ran in the other day, and they did have the same school uniforms when I saw them.' Sukuna recalled the slime villain incident.

'So if what Bakugo said was true, then how did Izuku here suddenly have a quirk out of nowhere?' Sukuna sighed a little, saving the thought for later, as Izuku entered a rough stance. Everyone prepared for a large throw, some stepping back a little in case of a shockwave.

But what happened next was the biggest disappoinment of their lives, Izuku only managed 46 meters, extremely disappointing for such a buildup.

'No, it's because of him.' Sukuna glanced at Aizawa, whose eyes were glowing red as he laid his eyes on Izuku, not taking them off him as he approached the shocked boy.

"How in the blue hell... did someone like you manage to enter UA?" Aizawa began, the absurdly long grey scarf around him started magically floating a little. The sensei then continued.

"From what I saw during the practical test in the entrance exam, you have absolutely no control over your quirk whatsoever. You can't harness its full power, which means you can't use it efficiently. If I'd let you throw that just now your bones would've broke. Do you really think someone's gonna come save your crippled ass every time you go out there and fight?" With a simple motion, Aizawa managed to wrap the scarf around Izuku, the boy struggling to escape.

"Face it, what you are right now, you would be nothing more than a liability in battle." Izuku looked like he was about to break down in a moment's notice. Bakugo was smirking, seemingly enjoying Izuku's suffering.

"You have the same insufferable passion like a certain hero I know, one who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend. But even with that drive, you're worthless. If you can only throw a single

punch before breaking down...Sorry kid, there's no other way to say it, with that kind of limit, there's no way you can become a hero." Aizawa dropped the bomb Izuku never wanted to hear. Denki whistled to himself.

"Man, so glad I'm not Midoriya. That scarf looks like it hurts." He muttered. Kirishima elbowed him a little, signalling him to be quiet.

" Is it mean for me to say that he deserves it?" Denki whispered. "If what sensei says is true, then if he keeps pushing like that, he won't last a week here. This whole thing means nothing if he destroys himself first." He continued, a rare grounded side appearing.

"Dude...I'd rather not have sensei target us right now..." Kirishima grumbled back as Aizawa let Izuku go, letting him have a go a second time.

Izuku clenched the ball tightly, he glanced at his classmates for a while before setting his eyes on Sukuna, the pink haired boy's eyes seemingly staring into his soul, like he knew his deepest darkest secrets.

Izuku gulped before focusing back on the test. He entered a stance again before he raised his arm, preparing to throw the ball. What came next was a giant shockwave that shocked most students. Sukuna stared as Izuku's index finger became a lifeless dark red, almost the same color and appearance as his cursed fingers.

A thought did come to Sukuna's mind, one that made him even more suspicious of Izuku.

'Massive force output without visible mutation before the usage of the quirk. Why does this quirk remind me of...' Sukuna narrowed his eyes, concerned at his own train of thought.

'This guy couldn't possibly be related to All Might, could he?'
