Chapter 7 - 7: Three Against One, The Advantage is Mine

After Iruka left, Kitazawa sat at his desk, fingers interlaced and propping up his chin.

He was deep in thought, pondering exactly how to become the Class Monitor of Class 1-A.

If he were a student, it would be justifiable. But he was the teacher.

A teacher competing with students for the position of Class Monitor? What kind of system was this?

But the mission had to be completed because the reward was Water Release.

There were seven chakra nature transformations in total: the five basic elements of Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, and Lightning, plus the hidden Yin and Yang.

Ninjas were born with specific chakra affinities, usually only one or two. For example, if someone had a Lighting affinity, training in Lightning Release jutsu would be easier and the results more powerful.

Kitazawa had tested his own affinities and found he possessed only Wind and Fire.

Having an extra nature transformation offered massive advantages, so naturally, he didn't want to miss out.

Kitazawa sighed, standing up and walking to the single wooden cot behind his desk. He collapsed onto it, spreading his limbs out in a 'big' character shape (大).

Thinking while sleeping was a valid strategy. Eventually, he drifted off.

Class 2-C.

Toranosuke had just sat down when he spotted a small slip of paper on his desk.

Curious, he unfolded it.

It contained only a single sentence: Don't leave after school tomorrow.

And the name signed at the bottom was one he knew all too well: Hinata Hyūga.

"When did that crybaby, that Byakugan Ugly Duckling, get so bold?" Toranosuke asked, surprised.

"Big Bro, did you get a note too?" Two boys of similar age walked over, holding identical slips of paper.

"What's going on?" Toranosuke stared at the three identical notes.

"Should we go? Could it be a trap?" one of the lackeys asked nervously. "She is the young miss of the Hyūga clan, after all."

"Of course we're going!" Toranosuke scoffed. "Adults don't interfere in fights between kids."

This unwritten rule was precisely why he could bully boys and girls alike at the Academy without repercussion.

The ninja world worshipped strength.

If Hiashi Hyūga punished them personally, he would be laughed at by every major ninja clan in the village.

"Then we definitely win!" The lackey's confidence returned instantly.

"Of course! Three against one, the advantage is mine!" Toranosuke nodded smugly. "I hope we can have some real fun this time!"

"Big Bro has amazing insight!" the two lackeys immediately flattered him.

In the blink of an eye, the lunch break was over.

Kitazawa sat up on his cot and yawned.

He had formed a rough idea of how to become Class Monitor. In short, it involved playing dirty and exploiting loopholes.

The System only said he had to serve as Class Monitor; it didn't specify the length of his term.

Kitazawa splashed some water on his face, checked the time, and headed for the classroom.

Just as he reached the door, the bell rang.

"Mm. Punctual as always."

Kitazawa chuckled lightly and stepped onto the podium.

"Kitazawa-sensei!" Ino jumped up like a cheerleader, waving at him enthusiastically.

Finally, she didn't forget to shoot a smug look at Sakura.

"..."

Sakura pouted.

Although Kitazawa was handsome, they were from different generations. One day, he would get old before them.

She turned back to Sasuke, flashing a sweet smile.

Sasuke ignored her completely.

In his heart, there was only Itachi Uchiha and Fugaku Uchiha. He was desperate to improve and earn their praise. Women were just obstacles to his training.

"Let's start class." Kitazawa nodded at Ino, signaling her to sit, then asked, "Does anyone know who the founder of Konoha Village was?"

"I know!" Naruto shouted immediately. "It was Hashirama Senju!"

"More accurately, it was the Senju Clan," Kitazawa corrected. "Both the First Hokage and the Second Hokage came from the Senju Clan."

"Kitazawa-sensei," Naruto asked, puzzled. "Why aren't there any Senju ninjas now?"

"There are," Kitazawa smiled. "For example, one of the Legendary Sannin of Konoha, Lady Tsunade, is a ninja of the Senju Clan."

Just then, Sasuke raised his hand.

"Sasuke." Kitazawa called on him.

"My brother said the Uchiha Clan was also one of the founders of Konoha," Sasuke said, standing up.

After he spoke, confusion appeared on many faces.

Aside from clan heirs like Hinata and Shikamaru, most students weren't clear on the Uchiha Clan's past glory.

After all, the Uchiha's reputation had been damaged, and their current situation was awkward. Especially after the Nine-Tails attack, their compound had been forced to the outskirts of the village, and they were under surveillance.

"Correct." Kitazawa nodded. "It was indeed the Senju and the Uchiha who ended the chaotic Warring States Period and established Konoha."

As expected, Brother was telling the truth.

Sasuke wore a proud expression, feeling immense satisfaction.

"Today, we're going to tell the story of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju." Kitazawa slammed his hand on the desk like a gavel, getting into character. "A long, long time ago, there was a clan..."

Being rated "Best Teacher" wasn't just because of Hiruzen Sarutobi's favor; his own teaching skills played a huge role.

After all, Kitazawa was a transmigrator with modern knowledge. Compared to the strict, dry lectures of typical Academy teachers, he always had new tricks up his sleeve.

Kids hated lectures, but they loved stories.

Kitazawa used the style of traditional storytelling to teach history.

Ding-dong.

The bell rang.

"To find out what happens next, please tune in for the next episode." Kitazawa picked up his textbook. "Class dismissed."

"Ahh! Why stop there?"

"Why does Kitazawa-sensei's class go by so fast?"

"Class is actually fun? I want to stay in class forever!"

It wasn't until Kitazawa left that the students, still hooked on the story, reacted.

Sasuke frowned slightly.

In the story, the Uchiha Clan was equal to the Senju, incredibly powerful. So how did the Uchiha end up in their current state?

Sasuke hesitated for a few seconds before deciding to go home and ask his brother, Itachi.

As for Kitazawa? Sasuke hadn't approved of him yet.

The Uchiha never felt inferior to others; they only submitted to those stronger than themselves.

"Kitazawa-sensei really is the best teacher! Sakura, you... you traitor!" Ino turned her head, only to find Sakura running over to Sasuke again.

Hinata glanced at them, not quite understanding their friendship.

"Hinata, what do you think?" Ino noticed her gaze and asked.

"Um." Hinata paused, then nodded. "It was very good."

She suddenly thought of her father, Hiashi.

Every time he taught her the Gentle Fist, he kept a straight face and was terrifyingly strict.

She was naturally introverted, and combined with that immense pressure, her learning progress was terrible.

She felt that if Kitazawa were teaching her, she would definitely be much more relaxed.

Thinking of this, Hinata shook her head quickly, dispelling the chaotic thoughts. Her upbringing didn't allow her to fantasize about such unrealistic things.
