"You have me to guide you through this, right?" I challenged him, my voice stronger than I felt inside.
"That's true," he acknowledged. "But two weeks won't be nearly enough time to prepare you properly."
"It has to be enough. You can make it work, I'm certain of it," I pressed forward.
Something flickered across Alaric's expression. I could sense his resolve wavering. I seized the opportunity, moving closer to him as I continued. "Train me, Alaric. Teach me everything about being a strong wolf. Show me how to harness that power."
