Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Dangerous Routine

The young man bid farewell to Professor Oak, his new Pokédex in hand and Axew comfortably perched on his shoulder. The sun shone down on Pallet Town, but a sense of anticipation, almost alertness, washed over him. The world was "more dangerous", as God had said, and now Professor Oak too.

"Well, Axew, this is our start," he said, stroking the head of his small companion. Axew responded with a cheerful "Axew!"

The path to Route 1 was familiar from the games and anime, but now, in person, the tall grass seemed to hide more than he remembered. He had barely taken a few steps outside the town limits when the System screen activated automatically:

[ALERT: NEARBY DANGER]

Wild Pokémon detected. Recommendation: Prepare for battle.

The young man felt a chill. This wasn't a Pidgey or a Rattata. Suddenly, a guttural sound broke the tranquility of the forest. A imposing figure emerged from the tall grass. It wasn't a Pokémon he expected to see so soon. It was a Primeape, but not an ordinary one. Its eyes shone with unusual fury, and its size was considerably larger than average. It was waving its fists, visibly enraged.

[COMPLETE SCAN]

Pokémon: Primeape (Male). Level: 28 (25 for Route 1!). Type: Fighting. Ability: Vital Spirit (prevents sleep). Moves: Low Kick, Low Sweep, Take Down, Rage. Status: In an "Extreme Rage" state. System Warning: This Primeape is abnormally strong and aggressive. Its current rage level makes it unpredictable and extremely dangerous. Don't underestimate its speed and strength!

System Advice: Fighting types are weak against Flying, Psychic, and Fairy types. Axew is a Dragon type. Be cautious.

The young man felt a knot in his stomach. Level 28? And this was just Route 1! The "danger" was real and tangible. Axew, on the other hand, growled, positioning itself on his shoulder, ready for whatever came next.

"Axew, we need a plan," he said, his voice firmer than he expected. "This isn't a normal Primeape!"

The Primeape let out a thunderous roar and charged. Its speed was incredible; in a blink, it was just a few meters away, fists ready to strike.

"Axew, dodge!" he ordered.

The small dragon jumped agilely off his shoulder, narrowly avoiding a devastating punch.

[SYSTEM ADVICE]: Use Axew's Rage move to deal considerable damage, but be aware it'll leave it confused afterwards.

"Axew, use Rage!" he shouted.

Axew's fangs shone with a red light. It launched itself at Primeape with uncontrolled fury, a fury the young man felt and understood through the Green Forest Power.

The impact was brutal. Primeape stumbled, whimping in pain, but its fury didn't diminish; in fact, it seemed to intensify.

"Axew, stop! Don't let it get you!" he thought, trying to calm his Pokémon through their connection.

But Axew's rage was already at its peak, attacking without control. Primeape took advantage of Axew's confusion and landed a powerful Low Sweep, sending it flying into a nearby tree.

Axew fell, dazed, and the System screen flashed:

[AXEW'S STATUS: CONFUSED AND HURT]

Health: 45%. Alert: Confusion makes it unpredictable!

The young man rushed to Axew, concern etched on his face. Primeape advanced, its eyes bloodshot, ready for the final blow. There was no time to think. Instinctively, he extended his hand towards Axew. Emerald green energy flowed, not just to his Pokémon, but to the surrounding grass and trees.

[GREEN FOREST POWER: ACTIVATED TO MAXIMUM]

Healing active for Axew. Alert: Nearby Grass-type Pokémon are responding to your call.

The grass beneath Primeape's feet began to twist. Thick vines emerged from the ground, attempting to trap its legs. Primeape roared in frustration, hitting the vines with its fists.

Meanwhile, Axew's body stopped flashing red; its confusion decreased, and the pain faded.

"Axew, now! Use Scratch!" he ordered, knowing his Axew, though small, had surprising strength.

Axew recovered and, with a renewed roar, jumped on Primeape, landing a series of rapid, precise scratches on its back.

Primeape, still entangled, couldn't defend itself fully. The System updated again:

[PRIMEAPE'S STATUS: RAGE DIMINISHING]

Health: 30%. Advice: A Poké Ball might work now that its rage is reduced.

"Now's our chance!" he said, pulling out a Poké Ball. He aimed at Primeape, which was still struggling with the vines.
