Keifer pov:
< 15 days later >
It has been 15 days since jay went to a coma. Jennie got discharged 5 days ago. Section e is very quiet. Everyday after school we go in the hospital to visit jay. We talk to her for hours. Anyways now we are at school. We are waiting for the lesson to end so we can go to the hospital. The teacher was writing on the board when the ball rang. Everyone got ready and we all went to the hospital. Jay was still there. Jennie went first to her. She kissed her forehead and started talking to her:
Jennie: Sis wake up. We miss you! Come on if you wake up we will go together to eat food at that fancy restaurant you always wanted to go! We will bring section e if you want. Just please wake up.
Then came Ci-N. He had never spoken like this before. His voice, usually calm and a little distant, carried something heavier now—something that made all of us go silent.
Ci-N: Jay… you always said we were idiots without you. Well… you're right. Nothing feels right anymore. Section E isn't Section E without you. The noise, the chaos… even the fights—we need that. We need you. So… stop being stubborn and come back already.
He looked away quickly after finishing, like he didn't want anyone to see the way his eyes had softened.
For a moment, no one said anything.
The machines kept beeping. Steady. Cold.
Then I stepped forward.
Keifer: You know… I was gonna say something funny. Like always. Thought maybe you'd magically wake up just to tell me to shut up.
I let out a small breath, trying to smile—but it didn't really work.
Keifer: But… it's not funny anymore. Fifteen days, Jay. Fifteen. That's too long. Even for you.
I glanced at Jennie, who was still holding Jay's hand tightly.
Keifer: So here's the deal. When you wake up—and yeah, when, not if—we're all going to that fancy restaurant you like. No arguments.
A quiet chuckle slipped from the back, but it didn't last long.
Silence settled again.
And then—
A small sound.
So faint we almost missed it.
Jennie froze.
Jennie: Did you guys hear that?
All of us leaned closer.
Jay's fingers… moved.
Just slightly.
But enough.
Jennie gasped, tears instantly falling.
Jennie: Jay?! Jay, can you hear me?!
The monitor started beeping a little faster now.
And for the first time in 15 days—
There was hope.
