Chapter 5 - Prologue (Part 5): Ice Maniac

The temperature dropped the moment the door opened.

"You… Again."

The icy voice sent a shiver down his spine.

'S-Still looks as creepy as ever.' Jack gulped, trying his best to stare the Ice Maniac in the face.

The Ice Maniac was slightly taller, standing at 6'1. He was horribly thin and almost looked sickly, especially when it came to his hollow cheeks. The thick eye bags and round dark eye circles didn't help either.

Just like his sister, Lucien, aka the Ice Maniac, had long white hair. Though unlike that of his sister, Lucien's wasn't shiny or soft. He was six years Jeanne's senior, and she often feared that her skin and hair would end up like his.

"I told you already, didn't I?" Lucien stepped out of his family's estate and stood inches away from Jack. "If you were to bother my dear sister again, I-"

"T-That's not what I'm here for!" Jack shouted, raising his trembling hands defensively. "I swear!"

Ice deposits were already forming over his forearms. If things went the way they had the day he had come knocking on this same door to ask Jeanne on a date, it wouldn't take long for his entire body to be covered by frost.

"..." Lucien stared silently for a moment. 'He might not be here to bother my Jeanne but…'

"UGH!" Jack curled up, arms crossed around his stomach. 'I couldn't… Even see that punch…!'

The Ice Maniac re-adjusted his glasses. 'I'm still pissed at him. A punch should do for now.'

Lucien stepped back and prepared to walk back into his family's estate when,

"W-Wait…!" Jack muttered through clenched teeth, a hand reaching towards the Ice Maniac.

"You're…" Lucien rolled up his sleeve. "A sucker for pain, aren't you?"

"There's… There's a guy!"

"Hm?"

"Jea…!" Jack bit his tongue just in time, remembering Lucien's words.

'Keep my sister's name out of your goddamn mouth!'

Another shiver ran down his spine as he remembered the hit and pain that had followed the sentence.

"Your sister!" Jack corrected himself. "Your sister is… A guy! A transfer student asked her on a date! He-"

"There's no way." Lucien interrupted with narrow eyes. "She came home a bit late, but not date-late. She wouldn't go on a date without telling me about it."

'Why would she tell you about it, you fucking weirdo!' Jack thought to himself, stomach still killing him. "I-I heard them! They're going out later today! I swear!"

The Ice Maniac stared silently for a bit, scratched his chin, turned to peek at the family's mansion, then back towards his sister's annoying and creepy classmate.

'Jeanne would never go on a date without telling me. Moreover, there's no way that she could like someone and not tell me about it… Although… She was rather distant and silent today… When I asked her why she was late coming home… She didn't answer… Could it…'

"I can…" Jack gulped, finally feeling the strength to straighten his back. "I can… Show you… Who it is…"

"Why would you do that?" Lucien asked with narrow eyes.

Jack took a moment to breathe.

"To apologize for the rude, disrespectful actions that I committed in the past!" He shouted with a bow. "I understand that I was wrong, and I hope you will see this as an apology and a symbol of my regret!"

From the bottom of his heart, Jack believed that these words were absolute gibberish. It made absolutely no sense. Still, on his walk to the Frost family's estate, he realized that only crazy could work on crazy.

"..."

A drop of sweat made its way across Jack's cheek and hung to the tip of his nose for what felt like a whole minute while the Ice Maniac had stepped closer, and closer.

"I see," Lucien nodded and placed a hand on Jack's shoulder. "You're not as bad as I thought."

"R-Really?" Jack was more surprised by the fact that it had worked on the maniac.

"Show me this asshole, prick, son of a bitch you're talking about."

"Y-Yes, sir!" Jack nodded, pointed, and started running.

The Ice Maniac followed.

'He might be a good kid, after all.' He nodded to himself. 'I might kill the other one though, especially if Jeanne is hiding him from me.'

Meanwhile, Jack's surprise equaled Olivia Del Rey's for completely different reasons, of course.

Not only was the intensity of her desires surprising, but even more so was how proactive she had become.

Olivia had already torn the shirt off of (Asm)Odeus. Presently, he was bare-chested.

Meanwhile, he had only unbuttoned her shirt.

Having struggled with undoing his pants, Olivia had moved on to using both hands on them, but even that hadn't been enough.

"..."

Her wide eyes blinked repeatedly as if she had been teleported into this position.

As if she hadn't been the one to drop to her knees in front of him only moments ago.

Olivia had completely frozen.

"Well?" Odeus tilted his head with a smile.

She had instinctively kneeled to make undoing his pants easier, but now that they were undone, now that she found herself kneeling in front of him…

"Are you just going to stare, Professor?"

The sight was enough to make her body freeze and, alternatively, shock her brain into motion.

'What… The hell?'
