Chapter 25 - The Final Trial — Chaos Tenno Vs. The Monarch of Calamity

The Disaster Realm could no longer hold itself together.

The sky was a shattered mirror.

The ground was a bleeding wound.

The air was a battlefield of collapsing laws.

And at the center of it all floated Chaos Tenno — no longer human, not yet Monarch, wrapped in a storm of void-light and shadowed wings.

His eyes burned with abyssal fire.

His voice echoed with layered resonance.

His presence warped the realm.

Across from him stood the Monarch of Calamity — a being of pure inevitability, crowned in collapsing galaxies, wrapped in a mantle of extinction.

He raised a hand.

Reality bent.

"Show me your true shape."

Tenno answered with a roar that shook the dimension.

---

The First Clash — Crown vs. Calamity

Tenno moved first.

He vanished in a burst of void-light, reappearing behind the Monarch with a fist charged with Crown Spark. The punch landed — a direct hit to the Monarch's mantle.

The shockwave tore the sky apart.

But the Monarch didn't move.

He turned his head slightly.

"A spark is not a crown."

He flicked his finger.

Tenno was blasted backward, smashing through a floating continent. The impact cratered the landmass, splitting it in half.

The System flickered.

---

Tenno rose, wings of shadow unfurling behind him.

He charged again.

This time, the Monarch met him halfway.

Their fists collided.

The Disaster Realm detonated.

A shockwave of pure destruction rippled outward, erasing mountains, boiling rivers of mana, and collapsing entire layers of the dimension.

Tenno was thrown back, but he twisted midair, stabilizing himself with a burst of void-energy.

The Monarch stepped forward, unhurried.

"You are incomplete."

Tenno snarled. "Then I'll complete myself."

---

The Second Clash — The Calamity Mantle

The Monarch raised his hand.

A mantle of collapsing galaxies unfurled behind him — the Calamity Mantle, a Monarch Authority so dense that even Lee Geon narrowed his eyes.

Tenno felt his body begin to disintegrate.

His skin cracked.

His bones dissolved.

His shadow screamed.

The System panicked.

---

---

Tenno whispered, "Not yet…"

He forced the transformation down.

The Monarch tilted his head.

"You resist your own nature. Foolish."

He unleashed the Calamity Mantle.

Tenno was swallowed by a storm of extinction.

His wings shattered.

His crown flickered.

His body broke.

But something inside him refused to die.

A spark.

A memory.

A voice.

"Your True Form isn't your enemy. Use it."

Lee Geon's words echoed through the collapsing void.

Tenno screamed.

Void-light erupted from his body.

His wings reformed — larger, sharper, crowned in abyssal fire.

His mantle ignited — a storm of destruction and creation intertwined.

His eyes burned brighter — twin void-stars.

The Monarch paused.

For the first time… he looked intrigued.

"Ah. There it is."

---

The Third Clash — The Abyssal Crown Awakens

Tenno raised his hand.

A crown of void-light formed above his palm — unstable, flickering, but real.

Crown Spark → Crown Surge.

He hurled it.

The Monarch caught it with one hand.

The crown exploded.

The blast tore a hole in the Disaster Realm, revealing the raw void beneath.

The Monarch staggered.

Just a step.

But a step was enough.

Tenno appeared behind him, wings slicing through the mantle of calamity.

The Monarch turned, blocking with his forearm.

The impact shattered the realm again.

Tenno pressed forward, fists flying, wings slashing, void-energy erupting from every strike.

The Monarch parried each blow with effortless grace.

"You fight like a beast."

Tenno snarled. "I fight to survive."

"Then survive this."

The Monarch raised both hands.

The Calamity Mantle expanded.

The Disaster Realm collapsed entirely.

---

The Final Clash — The Crown of Ruin

Tenno floated in the void — no ground, no sky, no realm.

Only him.

Only the Monarch.

Only the end.

The Monarch extended his hand.

A sphere of pure calamity formed — a miniature universe collapsing in on itself.

"This is the end of your trial."

He hurled it.

Tenno reached inward.

Past the pain.

Past the fear.

Past the limits.

Into the core of his True Form.

He grasped something.

A crown.

Not a spark.

Not a fragment.

A piece of the real thing.

His body ignited in void-fire.

His wings expanded into a storm of shadow.

His mantle roared with destructive authority.

His eyes became twin abysses.

He raised his hand.

A crown of ruin formed — unstable, incomplete, but powerful enough to challenge a Monarch.

He hurled it.

The two attacks collided.

Silence.

Then—

The void exploded.

A shockwave of pure destruction tore through the nothingness, ripping open new dimensions, collapsing old ones, and shaking the Disaster Realm back into existence.

Tenno and the Monarch were thrown apart.

Tenno crashed into the reformed ground, coughing blood.

The Monarch landed gracefully, mantle flickering.

He looked at Tenno.

Then he smiled.

"You pass."

Tenno blinked. "What…?"

The Monarch bowed his head slightly.

"You have earned the right to claim your throne."

The System rebooted.

Lee Geon walked over, hands in his pockets.

"Told you you'd survive."

Tenno collapsed backward, exhausted.

"Barely…"

Geon smirked.

"Barely is still alive."

The Monarch of Calamity stepped forward.

"Chaos Tenno. Your next step awaits."

The Disaster Realm opened a path of void-light.

Tenno stood.

His wings unfurled.

His crown flickered.

He stepped forward.

The path to Monarchhood had begun.
