Chapter 3 - Living On Pandora

My first day waking up on Pandora in the wildlife was pleasant. I had breakfast for my human body, then I got on the link bed, and took control of my Avatar. I got a good breakfast for my avatar's body and got to start my day. I went out again to explore the world of Pandora. I could see so many creatures. Then I heard something in a panic. I followed the noise; a dire horse was stuck in the rocks. I rushed over to the dire horse and immediately got to calm it down.

"Easy!" I started, then I remembered it might not understand English. "Ftue txur 'aw, ftue!"

My hands went to the dire horse's head; it moved around a bit before settling. I made my way to its pinned leg and pushed up against the rock, trying to move it. I didn't stop. I felt something strange, then I pushed back, rolling the rock away. The dire horse ran off. I stood up, watching it go. I looked at the rock, and I was confused. I shouldn't have been able to push it even in my avatar body. I shook my head and went through to explore more of the woods. I couldn't understand how I even did this. I checked how much this body can lift, fifty pounds, and it barely lifts that much. That rock was probably more than fifty, even by a little, so I should have only been able to nudge the rock just enough to allow the dire horse to move enough to get out. I couldn't stop thinking about it, but I can't stop trying to figure out anything that could explain what happened. Whatever happened wasn't normal by human standards; then again, Pandora isn't a planet of humans or Earth's laws of existence.

So I don't know what this planet is doing to my avatar, and I don't know what is going to happen to me in either body if the effects are attached to me, like my consciousness. I explored until I found some destroyed bulldozers, covered in plantation. Looks like a protest from a while ago. I would have liked to see the damage done back then. I climbed onto the bulldozer to have a look. There was a skeleton there, and it looked like old arrows in its chest. I kept looking, and I saw scorch marks on more arrows embedded in the vehicles. It is very interesting to see how the natives deal with intruders. I jumped down and continued to explore and have a look around the area. Then I heard someone pull a bowstring; it looks like a native spotted me somewhere. But I can't pinpoint exactly where.
