Sansa's POV
What was that, Selene?" I snapped the moment the healer left. My voice was low but edged with irritation I couldn't quite hide. "You can't keep doing this—embarrassing me every time you see me with a woman."
She let out a sharp, humorless laugh and turned to face me fully. "Oh, now I'm embarrassing you?"
My jaw tightened.
"You didn't see how she conveniently stumbled?" Selene continued, her voice rising despite herself. "Or how she just had to fall right into you? Knowing fully well you wouldn't let her hit the ground?"
"That's not what happened," I said, already feeling the familiar weight of exhaustion settling in my chest. "And you know it."
"That's because you didn't see it," she shot back immediately.
For a brief moment, doubt flickered through me.
Had she really done that? That would mean she had taken an interest in me right? But I didn't think that was the case. At least not really.
