Sansa's pov
I followed him into the castle without speaking.
The place was already awake despite the late hour. Guards lined the halls. Servants moved quickly, their eyes lowered. No one questioned why I was there. And for some reason I believed they either know or need not know.
Maybe it was something he does on a regular basis. Bring women in. So it didn't surprise them. The thought made my chest tightened.
'I don't care. That's his life.' I told myself as I walked even though I felt the opposite.
Just then a steward approached me. "Thie way, my lady." he gestured as he led me through a narrow corridor on the private floor. He stopped in front of a door, then pointed to the one beside it.
"This is yours," he said. "His Majesty's chambers are next door. You are to remain available at all times. Daily treatment is mandatory. Emergency response is expected."
I nodded. I wanted to ask what I would be rewarded for my services When the door closed on my face.
