Chapter 21 - It can't be

Lucien's pov

I'm doing all I can to keep calm because I was boiling in anger, not just because of what Koa did or said, but because of Sansa.

I had expected that after everything she must have gone through, she would beg me to claim her, which I would have gladly done, but she did not.

She still hadn't.

I know it was still early, but with everything she went through the night before, I thought she would be the first person I would meet when I got to the palace.

If I had instructed one of the guards the previous night that I needed proof—Not that I did not trust the guard to beat Sansa, I just wanted to see to it she was punished—and if I had not seen it with my own clear eyes that she was punished, I would have thought she wasn't punished.

It's not like I wanted her to be punished, like I'm some mean freak who doesn't give a damn about someone I claim to love. At least not initially.
