Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Captain Jack Sparrow's Impure Motives

"Jack? Jack Sparrow? You damn old dog! Is it really you?!"

Gibbs's roar exploded on the deck of the explorer.

All the pirates who were watching the show instantly fell silent.

They looked at each other, their faces filled with shock and confusion.

Jack Sparrow?

This name, in the pirate circles of the Caribbean Sea, was simply thunderous.

Some said he was one of the Seven Pirate Lords.

He once owned a legendary warship as fast as a ghost.

The black pearl.

Some said he was betrayed by his first mate and exiled to a deserted island.

Others said he had made a deal with a demon from the deep sea and could escape from the brink of death again and again.

The legends about him were varied and fantastical.

But all pirates knew one thing: Jack Sparrow was a legend.

A true, living legend!

But now, Gibbs actually said...

The lunatic in the water who had just sunk his ship, looking like a drowned rat, was Jack Sparrow?

This was too damn… ridiculous, wasn't it?

"Gibbs, you didn't see wrong, did you?"

Billy leaned over and asked with a doubtful expression.

"That guy… doesn't look like a legendary pirate king at all."

"Shut up! I've followed him for ten years! I'd recognize him even if he turned into ash!"

Gibbs roared excitedly, a tear even welling up in his One-Eyed Man.

He tore off his eye patch, revealing the perfectly intact eye beneath it.

Roger watched from the side, his heart also churning with colossal waves.

You sly old Gibbs!

You were faking it!

I really thought you were a One-Eyed Man!

So you were afraid of being discovered by your enemies!

He never expected that the seemingly ordinary One-Eyed Man Gibbs on his ship was actually the loyal first mate Gibbs from the movie who was devoted to Jack!

No wonder he looked so familiar... He had originally thought he was just a nameless extra with the same name.

He never expected to have inadvertently taken in Captain Jack's personal first mate?

Roger felt his mind was a bit muddled.

Now this was good, Jack's acquaintance was right on his ship.

His plan to lure Jack onto the ship immediately soared to a ninety-nine percent success rate!

In the water, Jack Sparrow, who was trying hard not to sink, also heard Gibbs's shout.

He pushed aside his wet hair clinging to his face, squinted his heavily eyeliner-rimmed eyes, and looked towards the explorer.

When he saw the familiar Gibbs by the ship's rail, an exaggerated and pleasantly surprised expression also appeared on his face.

"Gibbs? My dear Joshamee Gibbs?"

Jack's voice carried a unique, lazy yet somewhat theatrical tone.

"I thought you'd long since been made into a meat pie by some ill-tempered tavern owner's wife!"

"How dare I die when you, you scoundrel, are still alive!" Gibbs cursed with a laugh.

The joy of reuniting with an old friend made the rough pirate momentarily forget about the others around him.

"Quick! Quick, lower the rope ladder! Pull the Captain… pull Jack up!"

Gibbs excitedly shouted to the nearby crew members.

The crew members then came to their senses as if waking from a dream.

They looked at the legendary figure in the water, then at their new first mate on their ship, their minds still a mess.

But since the first mate had spoken, they still fumbled to throw down the rope ladder.

Jack Sparrow grabbed the rope ladder, his movements quite nimble.

He quickly climbed up and then, with an extremely flamboyant pose, flipped over onto the deck of the explorer.

He first exaggeratedly shook off the water on his body, then straightened his already soaked tricorn hat.

Only then did he raise his head and begin to survey the ship.

As his gaze swept over the eight dark 12-pound cannons, swept over the new and sturdy rigging, and swept over the more than thirty spirited and well-equipped pirates on the deck...

A hint of surprise and greed flashed in his eyes, which always carried a touch of playfulness and laziness.

"Oh, my heavens."

Jack whistled, saying in a connoisseur's tone.

"Gibbs, my dear friend, it seems you've done well these past few years."

"Where did you steal… oh no, 'requisition' such a pretty little lady from?"

His gaze finally fell on Roger, who stood at the front of the crowd, with a distinctive aura.

Jack Sparrow's eyes narrowed slightly.

He could feel that this person was the true owner of this ship.

A guy who looked very young, very clean, and completely unfathomable.

Interesting.

The corner of Jack Sparrow's mouth curved into a characteristic, slightly wicked smile.

He walked up to Roger, extended his hand, and said in a familiar tone.

"Hello, I am Captain Jack Sparrow."

He deliberately emphasized the words "Captain."

Roger looked at the hand extended towards him, also extended his own hand, and shook it with him.

"Hello, I am the Captain of this ship, Roger."

Roger also emphasized the words "Captain."

Their eyes met.

The atmosphere was tense.

Gibbs and Billy watched this scene nervously.

One was the legendary Pirate King of the Caribbean Sea.

The other was the mysterious Captain who led them to create countless miracles.

These two equally strong men, both referred to as "Captain," met for the first time with a palpable sense of confrontation.

Now there was a good show to watch.

Roger, however, was secretly smiling.

Jack Sparrow, you've finally arrived.

I know you're currently dirt poor, you don't even have a ship anymore.

I know you want to go to Port Royal to get a big ship.

I know everything about you.

And you, you know nothing about me.

"Oh? You're also a Captain?"

"Of this ship?"

Jack Sparrow raised an eyebrow, a playful expression on his face.

"How interesting."

"How can one ship have two Captains? Don't you agree, Mr. Roger?"
