As the "John Flint Undercover Case" spread like wildfire among the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Magic, the senior officials were plunged into an indescribable state of extreme shock.
It was simply unbelievable that the Ministry of Magic could be so negligent as to allow a malicious Death Eater to "guard" the savior in secret for six long years!
Minister Millicent Bagnold could imagine that if this shocking scandal were to spread throughout the Wizarding World, the Ministry of Magic would inevitably be sucked into a world-shaking vortex of scandal, triggering a wave of uncontrollable public fury, and might even lead to a public outcry demanding their collective resignation.
This was undoubtedly a heavy blow to the reputation of the Ministry of Magic, and they would suffer unprecedented disgrace and questioning.
And even more unexpectedly, the great hero who first noticed the true identity of this Death Eater and turned the tide before everything turned into a disaster was actually the descendant of Grindelwald.
Faced with such a thorny situation, Minister Millicent Bagnold had to lower her stance and personally step forward, imploring Dumbledore and Adelaide to sign a non-disclosure agreement to save some face for the British Ministry of Magic.
To commend the great hero Adelaide, the Ministry of Magic decided to award her a generous prize of 1,000 Galleons. At the same time, they promised to subtly speak well of the Grindelwald Family in The Daily Prophet in the future, thereby imperceptibly changing the image of the Grindelwald Family in the eyes of the public.
Adelaide agreed to the Ministry of Magic's request without hesitation; for her, tangible benefits were much better than any empty fame.
But Dumbledore felt that this was not enough. After further negotiations with Minister Millicent Bagnold, he added two more conditions: those in the know at the Ministry of Magic and St Mungos Hospital must sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding Adelaide Grindelwald's extraordinary magic riot incident and the awakening of her Seer talent.
Furthermore, without the permission of her guardian (namely Dumbledore), no individual or organization was allowed to perform a physical examination on Adelaide Grindelwald.
With the Ministry of Magic's introduction of the new "Underage Savior Supervision Act," the number of people monitoring and protecting the savior was increased to groups of three, with them supervising each other, finally bringing the incident to a temporary close.
When Adelaide followed Dumbledore home with heavy steps, she already had a premonition of what was about to happen.
As expected, what awaited her was not only Dumbledore's serious lecture but also Edward's angry and shocked reprimand.
They expressed extreme dissatisfaction with her recent behavior, especially during such a sensitive period—when Gellert Grindelwald was seriously ill.
If anything went wrong with Adelaide at this time, the remnants of the Acolytes hiding in the shadows would surely lose their sanity and commit illegal acts, bringing immense chaos to the Wizarding World.
Facing the alternating lectures from the two elders, Adelaide lowered her head and listened silently. Although she felt a bit wronged, she also understood that she had indeed been too reckless this time.
Finally, after a stern criticism, Adelaide was punished with confinement and was not allowed to step out of the house until she left for Nurmengard.
The experiences of the entire day made Adelaide feel incredibly exhausted. After a quick wash, she collapsed onto the bed, wanting only to drift into dreamland and forget all her troubles.
However, just as her consciousness was beginning to blur, some strange images began to flash rapidly before her eyes.
First to enter her sight was an old and ancient Castle, soaring high into the clouds as if piercing the sky.
At the very top of this Castle, an old man with heterochromatic eyes stood quietly by the window, his gaze as sharp as an eagle's, scanning the distance at will.
From his aura and ambitious eyes, it could be seen that he seemed to be planning a world-shaking event, and he possessed a determined confidence in getting what he wanted.
Then, the scene suddenly shifted to a night of thunder and rain, with howling winds and flashing lightning, as the entire world was shrouded in darkness.
In such harsh weather, a massive black dragon circled and flew in the sky.
It spread its wide wings, blotting out the sun and moon, and every beat of its wings stirred up gusts of wind and rain.
Beneath the dragon, a building resembling Hogwarts Castle could be faintly seen standing there.
The scene changed again, as thick, towering vines burst out from the ground, like the roar of the earth when provoked.
The vines were like green dragons winding and coiling, covered densely with pods of various shapes—some like crescent moons, others like rounded pearls, making one's eyes blur.
A group of mysterious Wizards dressed in black robes, their faces strictly veiled, were launching a fierce attack on the vines and those pods.
The wands in their hands flashed with strange light as they waved them continuously, shooting brilliant yet dangerous beams of magic toward the vines and pods like meteors.
Amidst this chaos, Adelaide was surprised to find a Young Wizard who looked ninety percent like her standing behind those vines!
And for some reason, looking at these vines growing wildly and stubbornly resisting the Wizards' attacks, she felt a faint sense of familiarity in her heart, as if all of this was caused by her... These sudden visions left Adelaide stunned, and before she could even think about what had happened, her body began to tremble involuntarily.
The last trace of sleepiness instantly vanished without a trace. She sat up abruptly and clutched her head tightly, trying to calm the fear and shock within her.
"Oh my god! How could I see these things?"
Adelaide muttered to herself, "Could it be... could it be that I have really awakened the Seer talent?"
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but gasp.
One must know that a Seer's ability has always been mysterious and extremely rare. If she truly possessed this talent, then even if that Horcrux with a soul intended to change the original plot, she could learn the opponent's next move through prophecy.
Adelaide rolled around on the bed in excitement; old man Merlin had finally sent her a cheat!
——
During the winter break, Adelaide obediently stayed in the Dumbledore ancestral home in Godrics Hollow, leisurely watching various cartoons and comics, returning to her shut-in nature once again.
Time passed quietly like this, and in the blink of an eye, it was Sunday morning.
As the first ray of sunlight poured through the window into the house, a handsome long-eared owl flew into her yard like a bolt of lightning.
And with the arrival of this long-eared owl, Adelaide's originally calm daily life was broken once again.
