He waved his hand, and a new face-down card appeared in his Back Row. Dark Magic Attack was a Normal Spell that would Destroy all of the opponent's Spell and Trap Cards if Dark Magician was on his field.
"So it's a back row clearing Spell that works with Dark Magician," Yugen said. "That would be troublesome if it went off, so I'll activate my Set card. Quick-Play Spell-Detonate."
"It Destroys all face-up 'Kuriboh' and 'Kuriboh Token' on my field. After that, I can Destroy the same number of cards on your field."
"Nani?!?" Kagurazaka flinched.
A suicidal terror attack from Kuriboh? This was the move Yugi Muto had used long ago, back in the kingdom days, when he claimed that Kuriboh could use Multiply without limit and that every copy could self-destruct.
As absurd as that explanation had sounded back then, Kuriboh probably really did have that kind of potential. After the Duel rules were refined, that ability had been turned into this Spell Card, letting the old move be reproduced to some extent.
"I still have three Kuriboh Token on my field," Yugen said. "So I Destroy your three cards: 'Dark Magician', 'Dark Magician Girl', and the Set 'Dark Magic Attack' in your Back Row."
"Kurikuri!"
The three Kuriboh flew forward, each locking onto a target before crashing straight into it. They looked absurdly fierce.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
After three explosions, Kagurazaka's entire field was wiped clean. The newly Summoned Dark Magician and his student were gone at once, just like the straight sword warrior before them.
Kuriboh: Kuri! Who's the real ace now?
Kagurazaka almost stopped breathing. Kuriboh again, always Kuriboh. He had finally assembled the magician teacher and student pair, both legendary Monster, and he had not even been allowed to enjoy the sight for a moment before they died.
The spectators could not help showing pained expressions as well. They had finally seen Dark Magician and his student together, and it had lasted only a few seconds.
"You bastard..." Kagurazaka ground out through clenched teeth.
"Then I I activate a Spell Card! 'Pot of Avarice'! I shuffle five Monster from my Graveyard back into the Deck, then draw two cards."
He revealed five Monster from his Graveyard in one sweep. "I return King's Knight, Queen's Knight, Jack's Knight, Dark Magician, and Dark Magician Girl to the Deck, and draw two cards!"
The moment he drew again, the pain vanished from his face. His eyes lit up, and his smile returned.
"Heh, looks like my Deck still hasn't abandoned me," Kagurazaka said with a snort. "There couldn't be a better card to end this duel with. This time, what I Summon will be the strongest Monster in this Deck, the Duel King's Ultimate Warrior!"
"I banish the DARK Monster 'Kuriboh' and the LIGHT Monster 'White Magician Pikeru' that were sent to the Graveyard by 'Arcana Knight Joker's' effect. The strongest legendary swordsman, descend now!"
He raised his arm high and shouted, "Appear, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning!"
Clouds rolled across the chaotic field, and golden light crashed down. A blade of light and darkness split open the radiance, and the legendary swordsman emerged as if bathed in sacred gold.

"As expected," Yugen said with a smile. "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning."
As he spoke, the spirit of Black Luster Soldier appeared beside him in spiritual form. Yugen joked that they looked like the same type of monster, but said he would not go easy because of that. He even suggested the spirit avoid watching the next part, because it might get ugly.
The Black Luster Soldier Spirit said nothing. After recalling all the suffering his master's opponents had endured in past duels, he decided that was probably true.
So he nodded and flew back into the Deck on his own. Better not let even his own state of mind be affected.
"No one in Duel Academy understands the power of Ultimate Warrior better than classmate Yugen," Kagurazaka said, swelling with confidence again. "And now that power is in my hands too! Battle! Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning attacks 'Catapult Turtle'!"
Yugen snapped his fingers. "I flip my Set card, the Continuous Trap 'Fiendish Chain'. It binds Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, so it cannot attack and its effect is negated."
Green chains shot out from the Trap Card and tightly bound Black Luster Soldier from head to toe. He could not move at all.
Kagurazaka fell silent. He suddenly realized that even with this so-called strongest Deck, and even with one legendary monster after another hitting the field, not a single attack had gone through successfully.
The muscles in Kagurazaka's face twitched. He kept a straight expression on the outside, but inside he was already screaming.
Please, just let me land one hit. Just one.
"I Set one card," Kagurazaka said heavily. "End turn."
"Then, my turn.," Yugen said after a pause.
"It's a shame you couldn't break through the defense last turn. It looks like this is as far as you go. I activate a Spell Card! 'Five-Star Twilight'. I Tribute a Level 5 Monster on my field to Special Summon the five Kuriboh brothers from my hand and Deck!"
"I offer my Level 5 'Catapult Turtle' on the field. Come out, the five Kuriboh brothers!"

In short, five fluffy Kuriboh in different colors appeared at once. This was another Kuriboh Deck that Yami Yugi had used back in the DM era, and like the others, it had only been remembered by Konami and printed as a real card many years later.
Kagurazaka's eyes widened. Five Kuriboh had appeared all at once. What new method were they about to use to torment him now?
"I activate the Equip Spell 'Opti-Camouflage Armor'," Yugen said. "I equip it to a Kuriboh. Tribute the Equip Monster, and all Monster on my field can attack your Life Points directly this turn!" (ANIME EFFECT)
This was another Kuriboh-exclusive magic from the DM era that Yami Yugi had used. Kagurazaka stared at the five Kuriboh on the opposite side in horror.
If the Kuriboh equipped with Opti-Camouflage Armor was Tributed, then the remaining four could attack directly. Each had 300 ATK, so together that was 1200 direct damage.

Kagurazaka almost laughed from sheer rage. He was holding the strongest Deck in history, yet he was about to be chipped to death by four Kuriboh one after another. The humiliation was unbearable.
That was not happening.
"I activate my Set card! Trap Card-Dust Tornado!" Kagurazaka shouted furiously. "I Destroy one Spell or Trap Card on the field! I Destroy 'Opti-Camouflage Armor'!"
A storm of dust rose, the rainbow light shattered and vanished, and the colored glow around the Kuriboh disappeared as well. "As long as I Destroy it before you Tribute the Kuriboh, there's nothing to worry about," Kagurazaka said, his expression already twisting. "Well? Can you still use that trash to humiliate me now?"
Yugen rested his chin on one hand. The kid really did look like he was about to snap, to the point that he had forgotten the role he was playing and actually called Kuriboh trash.
So he closed his eyes briefly. "Fine," Yugen said calmly. "Since you're asking so sincerely, I'll let you see the fiercest and most vicious final ace of the Kuriboh Deck."
