Chapter 22 - Chapter21: A Day To Rest.

With winds soft and serene passing by, the prince and his assistants were having a 2 days out of duty, after the events of yesterday night, finally having the yard time. They all lay on the grass, the assistants, this time, in they human forms, eyes closed, not caring about the time passing by. As long they can have a time to just... Rest.

"Lady Amethyst." Calls out the prince. "Why doctors are feared and physicians not?"

The prince just wanted to hear his assistants, or better, friends, interacting with each other, the sound of voices and giggles, of living beings just living and being with each other always had calmed him down and gave positiveness to him. It's a trait of his father that was passed to all royal children.

Amethyst looks at him a bit confuse, but responds anyway.

"Doctors are most feared and physicians not because doctors never got any scholarship nor even got into a medicine academy to have a tittle of the same and knowledge of the area, which means that they don't have any limits to whenever content or subject they will learn and how to do the practice of what the person learned. A physician instead, haves a scholarship, the knowledge the same gets from the academy is for controlled and rigorous, which makes the physician choose a certain area to profound in and not let them have experience in one more area." Amethyst then points out. "I'm a doctor, Guilherme and Fugi are physicians. Guilherme is specialized in psychology and neurology, while Fugi is specialized in the human body constitution, or something like that, i don't remember properly. While me? I'm specialized in surgery of every part of the body, psychology, profound body anatomy, and specialized in herbs, toxins and poisons."

"Then why the fear?" Asks Aya.

"Simple. One follows the academic books and what's taught in classes to the letter when facing a case. The other uses the cases as a puzzle and solve it using what it acquired in its studies. And because of that, doctors doesn't have limits."

"Interesting indeed." Ponders Lun Re. "Now I ponder. Is there any reason why is it too hard to find an apothecary these in the country?"

"Is it hard to find and apothecary in this country..." Amethyst starts. "Because people are too afraid to test toxins and poisons on themselves. An apothecary is a person who do the medicines to sell and for the physicians, yes, but that also means to be a tester of the same. Why would you always need to test the medicines on others without thinking twice but haves the fear of hurting yourself if you be the one consuming?" She lets the question hang in the air.

"Be an apothecary is also discipline, have morals, reason why we, the truly apothecaries, build an immunity towards the sames, to avoid such immorality. Of course, it requires a good health condition, strong tolerance to pain and a lot of patience for such, which makes many give up in having this tittle."

"Morality coming from a sadomasochist is something i was not waiting for." Tulipa says, quite intrigued. "Now you guys understand why Madam of Flowers is such a woman of influence and very requested by many?" She chuckles, her point making the others have an 'Oooh' moment.

The prince was listening to everything, with a relaxed smile on his face, for being in the presence of such interaction with the others. Even dough Nayoto wasn't with them, he was happy with what he is presented with.

in the middle of their chatting, a bubbly presence, along side a much calmer one, appears on the yard. It was princess Dunishia, along side Wunxule.

She was about to blast them with her discoveries and things that she learn these week when she notice the environment. Reading the moment, she calms down, and decides to approach them without causing much.

She sits down, and in a blink, the assistants notice the two presences with them.

"Good morning, people." The princess greets, with a wave and a smile. In her other hand, a heavy book and her notebook. "Can I show what I learned about magic for you all??"

"Ah, so you are learning fast, you grace."

We are now all sitting on the grass, seeing the drawings that the princess did, and the content of the book.

"I still wanted to understand well how it works, so i wanted to ask to you, lady Amethyst, who had passed trough a witch academy, if you could simplified it to me." The princess asks nicely to her, expectant of the answer.

"Well, why i wouldn't teach you. And the rest of you better pay attention, this will also be a class for you." I pick up the book and go to the beginning of it, showing the alphabet of magic and its using of each sigil.

"Each group of sigils haves a meaning of use, each one of them with a different and specific usage. For example, the four principal elements have a sigil, adding some another sigil next to them, it will turn into a sigil of a sub-element. Every element manipulator not only know the basic sigils of that element, but also use their creativity to make as many combinations and magic spells they can with it, its their free will in the element that the creators of the elements gave them, like the free will of magic usage Madam of Magic gave to us, their devotees." I point out to a specific sigil, the sigil of a small four pointed star.

"This star right here, that you see a lot in the outline of the magic circles, are the final point. The End. The same alphabet can be used to write the summoning and activation, also known as poems. It doesn't need to have beautiful words and empty nothings, it just need to make sense."

"So, if i want to use the magic circle of levitation, i need to know its poem, recite the poem while doing the circle, and to activate it, even if the circle is closed, it needs to that the four point star in the out line to mark it final point?" The princess starts doing notes on her notebook.

"Yes! You can neither say it while doing the circle and finish the recite with a 'The End.', ooor do the circle and then say it without needing to say 'The End.'. But never forget the four point star on it. You understand it right away." I clap my hands, and so did the others.

"So, i need to study well the alphabet, and the many ways to form a magic circle, then i will be fine." She says to herself. "But lady Amethyst, i heard that you need a special utensil and ink to do the magic circles."

"Yes, that's true."

Pulling out from my Witch's Eyes, located in the back of my hands, I pull out my special pen and a tiny bottle of ink. Gently, I place the utensil on the princess' hands, to analyse it in her own way. And when she saw, in the point of the pen...

"A charcoal???"

"Yes, a charcoal." Amethyst nods. "Its a special one made only for the drawing of magic circles. Every charcoal holder, or known as pen as well, haves a very thin brush on the bottom point, use for drawing in places where the charcoal can't. The ink and the charcoal come from the same material."

Princess eyes were radiant, looking at the charcoal holder as if it was the most special object she had ever hold in her whole life. She enchanted by every lively and positive thing in her live, yet treat these moment with such care and gentleness.

"You will have one too, Dunishia." Sagano says, "I will make sure you conquer one." with a pat-pat on her head, she feels the determination to continue her studies. Maybe, one day she will come to us showing a magic she created, and well, I will wait with open, proud arms.

We were all, now laying down again on the grass, the princess was practicing in her notebook, when in a sudden exclaim, Nayoto call us.

"Get off the ground guys, we have a new work to do."

"WHAT?!?!" The prince exclaim, exasperated.

We quickly stand up and enter in the office, wanting to know what type of work the General bring to us. The prince started to mourn out on the floor, complain about how he never gets a day to truly rest, and Lun Re, ever the gentleman, lift up the prince and brings him inside of the office, putting him on the chair of his table.

Lun Re says. "You can start, lady Nayoto."

"Well, his majesty, the Emperor, had send a work for your highness." She puts down seven parchments on the table, each parchment haves a talisman on the line sealing them, each talisman different from the other. Very interesting.

"His majesty didn't gave the explanation of what exactly their functions are, but the same said to keep it concealed and hidden. His majesty also said that you can give it only to persons you trust the most to keep it save with them, because it haves very important scriptures in each one of them."

"So its a test?" The prince simplifies.

"Its a test."

He sighs and mourns on the table. Well, at least is not assigning piles and piles of contracts.

"What if my father sent shinobis to stole out the scriptures. If is then, i must concealed very them, veeery well..." The prince look exactly at us, the assistants, with a mischievous smile and malicious eyes.

Amethyst was now, drawing magic circles on the body of every assistant, the princess was happily watching her drawing, paying close attention to each detail.

the circle was being placed lower of the belly, the assistants had to strip the uniform a bit for the placement.

"... And keep it to me, what matters themost..." Whispers of the poem could be well heard by the princess while Amethyst was doing the last magic circle of Tulipa, not loosing a beat and noting down on her little notebook. "Done. Pocket circle, it works like a bag, where everything you put in, the circle keep it inside until you decide to take it out. if scrub the paint, the object will not be lost, but the only way to grab it back is by drawing back the circle right and the same place as the other." Amethyst explains to the princess calmly, with patience to even listen to any of her questions.

The princess write down every word Amethyst said, her eyes shining of delight for learning a new magic circle.

"I place right here because just the insane and immoral minds to think that the circle is at this place."

"But what about the last scripture?" Aya points out. "Six scripture are kept, but who will kept the last one?"

Princess Dunishia quickly jumps in and points at herself, making sure they see her an choose her for the job.

"Well, i guess we have someone to keep the seventh scripture."

***

And with that, Amethyst do the last circle on the princess arm, Nayoto starting giving the rest of the rules of this test.

However, something in Amethyst says that something, or rather someone, might take this test actually do a stealing, but she doesn't says anything to them yet, she decides to stay silent until what she suspect to be the ones prove her that she's wrong.

How the assistants, and the royal children, will keep the scriptures safe?
