Lin Meiyin packs some clothes and goes downstairs to meet Gu Chenyu."I'm ready" she said. "Get into the car" he said opening the door. "Learning how to be a gentleman?" She asked.
"If you don't talk no one will doubt your existence" he said closing the door. Lin Meiyin zips her mouth and decided not to say anything.
"Don't show any flaws the old man is probably testing us understood so if I touch you don't freak out" he said. Lin Meiyin says nothing and kept staring at him.
"Did you get that clear" he said. Lin Meiyin kept staring at him, "Lin Meiyin" he said grinding his teeth. Lin Meiyin smiles, Gu Chenyu's face was as black as a pot's bottom. He stops the car making a screeching sound Lin Meiyin bumps her head, "What's the matter?" She said rubbing her sore head.
"Lin Meiyin are you playing games with me, don't test my patience or else I'll punish you I'm your superior aren't you scared?" He said.
"Scared we're partners why should I be I'm trying to stand on my feet" she said.
"Don't try that with me "said Gu Chenyu.
"By the way Mr Gu I was listening to you, you said if I don't speak no one will doubt my existence so I just looked at things that way" said Lin Meiyin. Gu Chenyu grinds his teeth and his grip tightened on the steering wheel. "This woman was the definition of annoyance" he felt his nerves bulging, "Lin Meiyin stop talking before I kick you out of the car" he said.
Lin Meiyin realized she had pushed her limit and decided to keep quiet.
The rest of the drive was in silence, Lin Meiyin gets out of the car without waiting for Gu Chenyu and opens the trunk getting her things out. She felt a hand trying to take her luggage, it was Gu Chenyu. "I'll carry it myself"she said. Gu Chenyu comes to her ear
"Listen don't make a fuss give me the damn bag" he said. Lin Meiyin gives him the luggage and he carries it.
There was an elderly woman at the door
"Welcome " she said with a smile.
"Hello Auntie Si" said Lin Meiyin.
"Meiyin" she said. It was Gu Zihan's mother
"I heard you ran away what made you come back" she said with a smile.
"Your son got my sister pregnant and cheated on me, so I decided to take a break and move on" said Lin Meiyin with a smile and going in. A man In a suit was standing in the living room "Welcome Second young Master Gu this way please let me take your things to your rooms dinner is ready and the old master will be with you soon" he said leading them. It had been a long time Lin Meiyin came here she felt a bit suffocated. She goes to the garden and see Lin Xuewei playing with her baby in the garden, she looked so innocent playing with her child. Gu Zihan comes and gives her a kiss, Lin Meiyin felt disgusted and was about to turn around when she heard a voice.
"Sister you're here" she said. Lin Meiyin smiles and then she goes to meet them "Hello" she said.
"I've never gotten a chance to meet my niece" said Lin Meiyin, looking at the little innocent thing. Lin Meiyin hoped Lin Xuewei wouldn't teach her her vicious ways, "You're having a good family time" she adds.
"Where's your husband?" Gu Zihan asked looking at her.
"Chenyu's having a meeting with his subordinates he's a very busy man I plan on forcing him to go on a vacation but he can be stubborn at times" said Lin Meiyin.
"Lin Meiyin come here it's time for dinner" said Gu Chenyu coming towards Lin Meiyin.
"Oh husband is here now" she said with a teasing look holding his hand their fingers interlocked. Gu Zihan watched them leave and clentches his fists. " They look so good together" said Lin Xuewei feeling a bit envious.
"Lin Meiyin is definitely up to something" he said.
During dinner Gu Chenyu was picking food for Lin Meiyin and her plate was filled with food.
"You should eat some more you look to thin out on some weight again" said Gu Chenyu. Lin Meiyin smiles "Husband is so caring" she said with red cheeks. First Master Gu looks at the two of them
" Sister I'm curious what happened to you?" Lin Xuewei asked.
"Well Chenyu happened " said Lin Meiyin with a smile.
" I went to London to further my music career I couldn't leave then so I decided to move on Chenyu here saved my life I had an accident and from there we fell in love and decided to get married " she said.
"Oh really it's so touching how you moved on so quickly to my brother " said Gu Zihan.
"My eyes opened early and I met someone who really cares for me"said Lin Meiyin, hinting something.
"Chenyu loves me for who I really am, I just decided to loose some weight to stand next to him with pride" said Lin Meiyin picking some food for Gu Chenyu who stops and looks at her, she used her chopsticks to pick food for him. "Is there something on my face?" She asked. Gu Chenyu stretching his hand and wipes some hair off her face and then continues eating. Old man Gu observed the two of them, Gu Chenyu had a cleanliness obsession and he let that woman put food in his plate with her own chopsticks. They play so well, "I'm full" said Lin Meiyin putting down her chopsticks. "Me too" said Gu Chenyu standing up with Lin Meiyin "Enjoy your meal" said Lin Meiyin leaving. Lin Meiyin goes to the courtyard and sees a piano she sits down and plays with the keys. Gu Chenyu sits next to her, "I always find a part of myself around you" she said.
Gu Chenyu nods and plays something Lin Meiyin looks at him. "Seems like we have some hidden talents" she said with a smile. Her smile was so bright, " I learnt little from the master but it's not a hobby" said Gu Chenyu.
"We are similar in a very special way, I learnt writing from my mother but I didn't take it as an hobby" said Lin Meiyin looking at him. Gu Chenyu looked down at the woman her eyes shining his Adam's apple rolled slightly, "We don't want to do it because it hurts us when we remember them, and when we do what they are remembered for" said Lin Meiyin, she looked into his eyes.
Gu Chenyu felt warm and the two of them were lost for a moment, staring at each other Gu Chenyu's gaze was deep, he felt strange "How did she see through me" he thought to himself. The moment was very awkward, "I want to hear the piece you played last week in a sextet" he said to her. Lin Meiyin gets back to her senses "What did you say I'm sorry" she asked him.
Gu Chenyu had burst the romantic bubble "I want to hear you play the last piece you played in the engagement ceremony in sextet" he said.
"Oh" said Lin Meiyin feeling a little embarrassed and she tucks some hair behind her ear. She starts playing it he fingers scattered across the key bringing out a beautiful melody, Gu Chenyu looked at her while she played she was so attractive without even trying, why did he feel that way he found himself getting more curious to know about this woman.
Lin Meiyin was playing seriously and hadn't noticed that everyone had gathered round, even Gu Zihan felt something. Old man Clarkson watched her play. Lin Xuewei saw Gu Zihan's facial expression he looked mesmerized that was how everyone felt but she was seething with jealousy "This b**** is drawing attention to herself" she said grinding her teeth.
"I can't let her take all the credit" she said going outside. "Sister you play so beautifully I would love to learn from you" said Lin Xuewei. Lin Meiyin stops and the wonderful peaceful atmosphere changes back to its tense atmosphere, Gu Chenyu felt annoyed with Lin Xuewei interrupting his peaceful atmosphere. Lin Meiyin realized that people had gathered round and felt shy, it was like when someone was holding in speck of light and all the dark animals had gathered round it to feel comfort.
"I think I'll be leaving I'm tired" said Lin Meiyin standing up. "You all have a good night" she said going upstairs, Gu Chenyu stands up and was about to follow Lin Meiyin when his father holds him back. "You think I'll fall for your little game" he said in Gu Chenyu's ear.
"It's your choice to turn a blind eye to the truth and keep bugging me" he said forcing out his arm from his father's grip and going upstairs. He catches up with Lin Meiyin and then he drags her into the room and slams her against the wall, his head on her neck. "Gu-
"Don't say anything there's a camera in the room he's watching us" he said in a whisper. "What"Lin Meiyin whispered.
"Just follow along "he said caressing her face and then his lips is landed on hers.
Lin Meiyin whimpers as he raises both her arms above her head and deepens the kiss. "Oh my God did he just kiss me" she said to herself. Gu Chenyu unbuttons his shirt and then raises her legs and wraps them around his waist he let's her fall on the bed.
Old man Gu watched what happening and then he shuts his computer. Gu Chenyu stops kissing Lin Meiyin and looks down at her. Her lips were swollen and her shirt rumpled so was his too, he stands up from the bed, "I'm sorry "he said going into the bathroom. "There was no other way " he adds buttoning his shirt.
Lin Meiyin was at loss for words and looks helpless.
