Max began to scan the long, scrolling list of rules appearing on the screen. As his eyes darted across the glowing text, the woman spoke, her voice cutting through the silence of the hall with a calm, melodic precision.
"You are not required to read them all," she noted, watching him. "However, should the Unique Item you attempt to forge violate even a single one of these protocols, the system will reject it, and you will be forced to begin the process again."
Max didn't look away from the screen. He knew this choice will be effect whole adventure and life.
The Fundamental Protocols of Unique Item Creation:
1. Soulbound Ownership: The Unique Item may only be wielded by its creator.
2. Originality Clause: You cannot select or replicate a Unique Item that has already been brought into existence.
3. Ability Overlap: Unique Items may share similar abilities, but no two items can be identical in their entirety.
4. The Law of Compensation: The System shall assign a specific weakness to every Unique Item.
5. Symmetry of Vulnerability: Unique Items with similar abilities will be burdened with similar weaknesses.
(Reading this, Max's mind sharpened. He realized he wasn't alone in this void; millions of others were likely staring at these same constraints at this very moment, or perhaps they had already made their choices.)
6.Summon:Player can summon their uniqe item instantly (No need for open inventory)
....
86. Complexity Scaling: The more powerful or intricate a Unique Item is, the more severe and varied its weaknesses will become.
87. Mental Sanctity: Unique Items can not influence or control the minds of other players.
88. Temporal Boundaries: Unique Items related to the future or the acceleration of time are strictly prohibited.
89. The Paradox Rule: Rewinding time and freezing time are mutually exclusive; they cannot coexist within a single Unique Item.
90. Internal Consistency: A Unique Item must remain logically consistent; it cannot possess contradictory natures.
....
211. Focus of Utility: Unrelated abilities or disparate functions cannot be together within the same Unique Item.
212. Statistical Autonomy: The wielder cannot determine the Unique Item's stats (damage, healing, speed, durability, range...)These are calculated and controlled by the System.
213. Evolutionary Potential: The Unique Item is capable of growing in power alongside its user.
214. The Permadeath of Objects: Once a Unique Item is destroyed, it cannot be resurrected.
215. Maintainability: Unique Items can repaired.
216. The Finite Principle: Nothing concerning the Unique Item can be infinite.
.....
317. Productive Requirement: Unique Items designed for crafting or production may require external resources, such as materials, knowledge, or specialized machinery.
318. Anti-Randomness: No Unique Item can be built upon the foundation of randomization.
319. The Ethics of Acquisition: The creation of 'Gacha' or gambling-based Unique Items is forbidden.
....
420. Theft Prohibition: Unique Items designed to steal the equipment of other players are strictly prohibited.
421. System Integrity: No Unique Item may interfere with the core mechanics of the Game or access Administrative privileges.
422. Administrative Lockdown: Unique Items that utilize administrator-level permissions cannot be created.
423. The Final Sacrifice: A Unique Item can counter a single attack of any magnitude once, but the cost is the immediate and permanent destruction of the item.
424. Structural Failure: If a Unique Item sustains damage after its durability has been depleted, it will be obliterated.
425. Privacy of the PDC: The privacy of another player's PDC cannot be breached, nor can its contents be forcibly learned.
(Max paused at the term, his brow furrowing. PDC? He tried to decipher the acronym Personal Data Center? Player Diagnostic Code? Whatever it was, the System deemed it private.)

500.
"Enjoy the game."
The text faded into the background of the blue interface. After absorbing every line, Max went silent. He raised a hand to his chin, his fingers tapping rhythmically against his skin as he descended into deep thought.
Max retreated into the labyrinth of his own mind. He began to dissect every game he had ever played, every mechanic he had ever mastered. What is the true key to victory? Is it the sharpest blade, or the most impenetrable shield?
He looked ahead, imagining the 200 dimensions awaiting him. Each one would be a new ecosystem of monsters, environmental hazards, and unforeseen challenges. He considered the ten million other players probably choose weapons of mass destruction, flashy elemental powers, or impenetrable armors. They were choosing the 'how' of combat, but they were ignoring the 'why' and 'when'.
After minutes of cold, calculated analysis, Max looked up. His gaze was steady, his decision finalized.
"I have decided," he stated firmly.
The girl tilted her head, her expression one of polite anticipation. "Please, describe your Unique Item. Remember to remain within the boundaries of the established protocols."
Max took a breath, his mind already formulating the technical parameters. He wanted something that operated within the legal framework of the system but something that could aggregate, process, and display every scrap of 'legal' environmental and systemic data automatically.
"I want a book," Max began, his voice echoing with newfound confidence. "A tome that contains no static text, but instead possesses a dynamic interface. It must be capable of processing all permissible data in game. It should automatically filter and display the specific information I seek in real-time."
The girl remained silent as the system's processing icon flickered faintly in the depths of her eyes.
--- Processing ---
Max didn't flinch. He knew the meta-game better than anyone. Others would walk into the darkness with a torch; he intended to walk in with night vision.
"Knowledge," Max murmured to himself, the blue light of the interface reflecting in his eyes. "Knowledge is the ultimate power."
"Complete," the girl announced, her voice resonating with a tone of formal approval. "Congratulations. Your Unique Item has been successfully synchronized with your soul."
As soon as the words left her lips, a shimmering, translucent veil began to wrap around Max's body. He watched in awe as his physical form began to distort and reconfigure. His hair darkened to a deep, midnight black, and his eyes shifted into a piercing, electric blue exactly as he had designed for 'Matt'. Yet, he felt no change in his height or his weight. It was a surreal sensation, as if his true self was being overlaid with a high-definition holographic skin.
"This isn't magic," Max whispered, his analytical mind racing. He thought of his hours spent coding, the logic of systems, and the laws of physics. "This is technology something so advanced it transcends our current understanding of reality, but technology nonetheless."
He reached out, intending to check the interface for the mandatory weakness the System had assigned to his book. He needed to know the price of his knowledge. But he was too late.
Before he could even open the first page of his book; a blinding, white radiance erupted from the floor beneath him.
