Alpha Logan
The next morning, before the sun even thought about rising, someone started knocking on my door like the world was ending.
Jack woke before I did.
Inside me, my wolf lifted his head, ears sharp, alert. Danger? he growled in my mind.
I blinked awake and sat up. "Relax," I muttered under my breath. "If it was danger, the door would already be broken."
The knocking came again.
Jack didn't relax.
He paced inside my chest, restless, claws scratching at my ribs like he wanted out. Open it, he urged. Now.
I dragged a hand down my face and got up. The floor was cold, the room still dark. When I opened the door, Spike stood there, breathing fast, eyes sharp.
Not good.
Jack went still.
That was worse.
"What happened?" I asked.
