Clara POV
I got home late that night.
After parting ways with Nathan, I went back to my friends and finished the party.
I refused to let Bella ruin my fun.
Yes, the party was a setup. I wanted Bella there so Nathan could meet her.
That part worked.
But that didn't mean I couldn't enjoy myself too.
So I drank, laughed, danced, and smiled until my cheeks hurt.
Then I came home.
Straight home.
Logan still hadn't called.
Not even a message.
I wasn't worried.
I knew him.
He would call. He always did.
He would apologize for losing control. He would feel bad for hurting me. Logan had always been soft like that. Too soft.
It wasn't really his fault anyway.
It was his wolf.
That beast inside him always ruined things.
I sighed as I slipped out of my shoes.
I needed to deal with that wolf.
My last attempt to make it love me failed badly. Very badly.
This time, I needed something darker.
Something stronger.
Because I could not lose Logan.
