CHAPTER 5 – THE HADES OF CROWN

EPISODE 1 – THE STRONG IN THE OCEAN

Yakichi's face turned pale.

"We're… dead."

Yu: "Why?"

He pointed forward.

Through the storm, another ship emerged.

Dark. Silent. Terrifying.

It was Hades' ship.

The sky crackled with black lightning.

The whole place was swallowed in darkness.

No one could see a thing.

Yakichi: "General Comar!"

General Comar: "What now?"

Yakichi: "It's the Hades ship."

Comar chuckled.

"So that… fucking bitch comes for me, huh?"

Yakichi: "Why are you laughing?"

Comar: "Not the time to explain. Go below the ship. Rest. I'll watch her myself."

Yakichi took Yu to the lower chambers.

Yu winced. His left arm was half severed.

Pain shot through him.

Yu: "Why… why are we here? And what's this ship?"

Yakichi: "I'll explain… just don't go outside."

Yu: "Okay."

Yakichi:

"When this world was created, the gods—those hidden, secret ones—made things no one knows about.

As people came, the world changed… and then something no one imagined happened.

A child named Jexter was born.

The moment he arrived… a war began.

A war that's still going."

Yu: "What war?"

Yakichi, breathing fast:

"The War of Killing the Weak."

Yu: "So… all this chaos is because of Jexter?"

Yakichi: "Yes. From his birth, it began.

And there's a man… Gintaro.

He formed a clan.

The Hades of Crown."

Yu: "Wait… a clan? That even exists?"

Yakichi: "I knew you'd say that.

In this world, clans are of three types:

Normal clans — the ones you can form.

Ship clans — those chasing a treasure: The Treasure of Elden."

Yu: "The Treasure of Elden?"

Yakichi: "Yes. Within it lies the deadliest weapon… the Sword of Radhan.

The sword belonged to a master who sacrificed himself to protect this world.

Only someone who has created a normal, high, and ship clan—or stayed in a clan for 140 years—can wield it.

Many die trying to obtain it, but its location is still unknown."

Yu: "Whoa… I want that sword."

Yakichi: "I warned you I'd tell you, and you'd react exactly like this."

Above deck:

General Comar: "Let's see where that bastard Jexter is."

From Jexter's ship, he watched the front deck through binoculars.

Subordinate: "General Jexter, Comar's ship is here. What do we do?"

Jexter smiled coldly: "Kill him."

He drew his sword, aimed, ready.

Comar: "Hey! Jexter! Here I—"

Before he could finish, Jexter swung.

The sword spun and flew.

Comar barely opened his mouth before the blade struck.

His head was cleaved clean off.

It hit the deck with a thud.

Jexter: "Ha… you died too early, General Comar."

Yu: "What… is that sound?"

Yakichi: "Let's check."

They approached carefully.

The sight froze them: Comar's severed head lay on the deck.

Yu: "He… he's dead!"

Yakichi shouted: "Run, Yu! Or we'll die the same way!"

As Yakichi jumped into the water, another sword came crashing toward his legs.

He fell hard.

A second sword sliced down with blinding speed.

Yu caught it with his bare hands.

Yakichi: "Yu!"

Yu's eyes blazed:

"As I said… if anyone touches you, I will kill them."

Lightning flashed across the stormy sea.

EPISODE 2 – THE MASK OF CHETEL

Yu's eyes blazed.

"As I said… if anyone touches you, I will kill them."

Lightning tore across the stormy sea.

Jexter laughed softly.

"I like that. Your emotions… they're beautiful."

"Shut the hell up!" Yu shouted.

Yakichi, still in pain, grabbed Yu's arm.

"Yu… please. Don't fight him. He's far more dangerous than you think."

Yu didn't look back.

"Sit down, Yakichi. Even if I have to give my life for you… I will."

Yakichi's eyes filled with tears.

YAKICHI – PAST

A one-year-old child cried inside a rusted dumpster in a junkyard.

Rain poured over piles of scrap metal and broken machines.

The workers ignored the faint cries.

But when it was time to crush the trash—

One worker heard it clearly.

Hyung.

He jumped into the garbage pile without hesitation and found the baby wrapped in dirty cloth.

The moment the child touched his arms—

The crying stopped.

"Hyung! Are you okay?" a voice called out.

"Yes, Sir Nio Hiyung… I'm fine."

Nio Hiyung looked at the baby.

"…Who would throw such a beautiful boy into this hell?"

Hyung clenched his jaw.

"If they couldn't raise him… why bring him into this world?"

"Sir… may I take him with me?"

Nio Hiyung smiled.

"Yes. Take him. And take this."

He handed him 1000 yen.

"Congratulations."

That night, Hyung and his wife decided to raise the child.

They named him…

Yakichi.

He grew up shy. Quiet. Afraid of everything.

But kind.

When he turned sixteen—

A doctor revealed the truth.

Cancer.

Yakichi fought.

But he could not win.

BACK TO THE SHIP

"So…" Yu said calmly.

"What are you thinking, Jexter?"

Yakichi blinked.

"What's happening?"

Yu smirked slightly.

"Me and Jexter are discussing whether he's going to join our team."

Yakichi froze.

"Wait… WHAT?"

Jexter stepped toward General Comar's lifeless body.

He removed one of Comar's mechanical gauntlets and quickly adjusted its inner mechanism.

Metal clicked.

Wires sparked.

He tossed it toward Yu.

"A small gift," Jexter said.

"Since I'm joining your… interesting team."

Yu caught it.

"A working arm attachment…"

"…Thank you."

A message appeared—

A MECHANICAL HAND OBTAINED

EQUIP IN UPGRADES OR BODY PARTS SECTION

"Quiet," Jexter suddenly whispered.

Yu and Yakichi stiffened.

"Do you have masks?"

Yu paused.

"…I think so."

Yakichi remembered.

"When you defeated the Great Ape… you received one."

"The Mask of Chetel."

Yu focused.

A blue interface flickered before his eyes.

INVENTORY OPENED SUCCESSFULLY

COSTUMES

Yu selected:

COSTUMES → FACE →

THE MASK OF CHETEL

(Dropped from The Great Ape)

(Used to conceal identity)

He equipped it.

The mask formed over his face.

Yakichi hesitated.

"I guess… this is where I die."

Jexter tossed another mask toward him.

"Put it on."

Yakichi slowly did.

Silence fell.

Yu whispered,

"Why are we hiding?"

Jexter's voice dropped to a near whisper.

"Because death is coming."

The storm parted slightly.

Far across the ocean—

Shapes appeared.

One ship.

Then ten.

Then hundreds.

Black sails.

Burning symbols.

Jexter's eyes narrowed.

"…The thousand ships of Hades."

Lightning illuminated the sea.

And beyond them—

A symbol carved into the sky itself.

THE TREASURE OF EDEN.

THE SWORD OF RADHAN.

EPISODE 3 – THE ASURA CLAN

Jexter's eyes narrowed.

"…The thousand ships of Hades."

Lightning split the ocean in half.

The storm illuminated the black sails.

And beyond them—

A symbol carved itself into the sky.

THE TREASURE OF EDEN.

THE SWORD OF RADHAN.

Jexter's voice turned sharp.

"Yu. Yakichi. Go. Hide. Now."

Yu clenched his fists.

"Why do we always run? I'm not running anymore. I'm staying. We're a team."

Jexter looked at him for a long second.

"…I'm sorry."

Suddenly—

Black lines burst from Jexter's hands like living shadows.

They shot forward and pierced beneath Yu and Yakichi's eyes.

Jexter smiled faintly.

"Kimo. Hide them."

The black markings under their eyes began to move.

"Okkk, boss."

The shadows dragged Yu and Yakichi downward—

beneath the ship. Into darkness.

BELOW THE SHIP

Yu struggled.

"What the hell is happening?! Where are we?!"

"Shut up and sit quietly," Kimo replied calmly.

The space around them shifted like liquid shadow.

BACK ON THE SEA

Among the thousand ships—

One stood larger than the rest.

A massive vessel.

A black pirate flag waved violently in the storm.

Its symbol—

A four-armed figure.

Then a voice echoed across the ocean.

"JEXTER… MY BOY."

Jexter froze.

For the first time—

Fear.

"Why the hell are you here?" Jexter growled.

The voice replied,

"You betrayed me. And I do not forgive betrayal so easily."

"Shut up. I'm not coming back to you… Asura."

A figure appeared at the edge of the giant ship.

Tall.

Four arms.

Eyes glowing faint red.

"Asura."

"You wish to die?" Asura asked calmly.

Jexter clenched his jaw.

"I have a team now."

Asura tilted his head.

"…Who leads this little team of yours?"

Jexter hesitated.

"It… it's Yu."

For a moment—

Silence.

Then Asura began laughing.

Loud. Cruel. Mocking.

"Why are you laughing?!" Jexter shouted.

Asura's expression shifted.

"You betrayed me. Why? Was what I gave you not enough?"

Suddenly—

Jexter's vision distorted.

A red monstrous aura filled his sight.

His eyes shut.

JEXTER – PAST

A child cried.

His parents placed him on train tracks.

Left him there.

A train approached—

400 kilometers per hour.

The child screamed.

The train did not stop.

Darkness.

Silence.

Then—

He opened his eyes.

A new world.

But not heaven.

War.

Bodies everywhere.

Blood soaking the earth.

People screaming.

And through the chaos—

A towering four-armed figure stepped forward.

He extended a hand.

The child grabbed it.

The man smiled.

"From now on… your name is Jexter."

Violence in that world increased after his arrival.

The man—

Asura.

He trained Jexter.

Made him strong.

Made him worthy of survival.

And gave him a sword.

Dakichi Yuro.

A blade that grew stronger with every drop of blood it tasted.

BACK TO THE PRESENT

Jexter's eyes slowly opened.

Chains.

He was bound.

Asura stood before him—

Smiling.

Jexter struggled.

"Asura! Release me!"

"Not so easily… my son."

"If Yu finds out about this, he won't let you live."

Asura grabbed Jexter's head tightly.

His voice deepened.

"I am Asura. The God of the Sea."

"That boy Yu can do nothing to me."

Jexter glared at him.

"You don't understand."

"He's not weak."

"He's a monster."

"He can kill you."

"…Easily."

Lightning struck.

The ocean roared.
