Ray and the others sized up Louis and Dyan. Dyan looked a little older than Louis and seemed taller as well. Earlier, it had been Dyan who did all the talking; Louis had barely bothered to respond at all, yet Dyan showed no sign of irritation. And unlike Dyan's dusty, rough appearance, Louis had skin as white as snow, his clothes impeccably clean, his expression languid, as though he were completely unaware of the dangers of the world. Even when Dyan got out of the car just now, he had hurried to open the door for Louis.
Perhaps Dyan really was supporting Louis, but Louis didn't seem to need to curry favor with Dyan at all. In that case, maybe it was Dyan who liked Louis and was pursuing him? Who would have thought that even after the apocalypse, someone could still preserve their love.
But Louis truly was outstanding to look at, so it wasn't all that surprising that Dyan would be so infatuated with him.
