Leo's shout shattered the silence of the house, a sound heavy with sheer panic. He carried Celine in his arms. She felt impossibly light, a harrowing testament to how thin she had become. Her head lolled weakly against his arm, her tangled hair veiling a face as pale as marble.
Martin appeared from behind the corridor, his expression taut. He froze for a split second at the sight before him.
"Get the car ready! Now!" Leo commanded. His voice thundered, yet he could not hide the violent tremor beneath it. "We're going to the hospital! Move!"
"Right away, sir!" Martin replied without hesitation. He turned and sprinted toward the driveway, knowing that every lost second was a direct threat to the life of the woman in his master's arms.
