After Dantè and Fang introduced themselves to each other Fang noticed that Dantè had taken a short sword of one of the dead boys, he didn't say anything since Dantè had just saved his life.
After the rest of the selected team came back together Fang noticed that 3 had quit leaving just Fang, Dantè and another scrawny looking boy,"what's your name?" Asked Fang,"Quad it's Quad." He replied to Fang, the boys all went to a castle looking building that a few council members also lived in, all the teams were show their own respective quarters.
Fang, Dantè and Quad all lay down to go to sleep after their tiring day of work.
6 months later...
After six gruelling months of training the squad were finally ready for their first scouting mission, although they were the smallest team they had already succeed the others in terms of strength and wits.
The boys lined up outside to be sent outside the capital, they would only be going an acre or 2 outside the capital since they were only trainees still. The boys all hopped on horses and headed out to the forest, in the first 5 minutes of being out the capital they spotted a band of spirits, Quad cast a minor illusion to trick the spirits while Dantè and Fang stood their ground hacking and slashing away at the spirits numbers. As Fang and Dantè were fighting Quad cast a enlarged fireball which wiped out the rest of the spirits,
the boys treked for 30 minutes onwards were they found a dark vampire. The boys froze they had never seen one before never mind been trained to kill one, the vampire launched at them, without a moments thought Fang grabbed his sword and started slashing away, Quad cast a minor shock which stunned the vampire helping the boys make quick work of it, the boys beheaded the vampire and took it back to the mansion were they caught the attention of a few council members,"Are you first years?" Asked one, "yes, yes we are" replied Dantè.
Fang noticed a younger female council member seemed to be eyeing Dantè up,"I'll make sure you boys are heavily rewarded for your find and capture. Names?" Replied an older male,"Dantè,Fang and Quad." Said Dantè ob enjoying basking in attention from council memeber. The younger woman walked over to Dantè and whispered something in his ear then proceeded to lead him to her quarters, Fang and Quad couldn't help but smirk. Fang and Quad returned to their quarters alone, throughout the night Fang heard creaking coming from upstairs which so happened to be council quarters he didn't even have to guess what was happening up there, he fell asleep.
1 day later...
The next day Dantè returned to his bunk like nothing had happened, Fang and Quad didn't ask any questions. Just then they heard a knocking at the door, Fang opened it a saw a council member standing there with a female mage who looked Fang's age standing next to him,"Can I help you sir?" Asked Fang,"Yes, yes you can. I'm wondering if you can take in this blue ring, the rest of her team is either dead or quit."The council member said rather tenderly,"sure yeah she can join us, we have spare bunk." Replied Fang,"thanks boys appreciate it." He replied. The mage entered the room almost tripping over her own feet
"What's your name?" Asked Quad,"My names Melina." She replied,"That's a nice name." Replied Fang,"Thankksss" Melina replied obviously flustered. The boys and Melina then went outside for basic training were the red ringearnt a few more sword stances and mages just practicing some spells. After training was finished the boys and Melina went back to their quarters, but when they were making their way to their quarters Dantè dropped of a letter at the female council members quarters door.
They all entered their quarter peacefully,"Hey Melina I have a question?", Asked Fang,"huh what is it?" Replied Melina,"why do you were a pointed hat like in a fairy tale but none of the other mages do?",Melina blushed at the fact that Fang noticed,"it's a stylish choice I just like the way it looks.", just then Fang took it of her head and put it on his,"How do I look?" Fang laughed along with the other boys, then he took it off and put it back on hers their we go and goodnight.
They all went to sleep...
