After leaving the town, Draen and Lewis made their way back to the estate before the sky turned completely dark. Even though they had already bought another batch of mana stones during their trip, Lewis still couldn't bring himself to tell Draen about the mana stones he had secretly sold before.
More than once, he thought about confessing but every time he was about to speak, he hesitated and swallowed the words back.
In the end, he decided to keep it to himself.
When they returned to the estate, Lewis quietly went to his room and pulled out the small wooden box hidden beneath his bed. Inside was the money he had earned from selling the mana stones. He looked at it for a moment before closing the lid again and carefully sliding the box back under the bed, deciding to keep it there for now.
"Haaa... what the damn hell is happening to me?"
