Chapter 211 - Chapter 211 Using Illumination on the Old Magneto

"What the hell is the Sisterhood!"

Magneto's expression turned cold. "Are you insulting me?"

"What's wrong? Does the Sisterhood insult you? Are you being sexist? Do you look down on women?"

Magneto: "..."

This punch had at least twenty years of training behind it; who could block it?

Magneto didn't know how to answer this question, so he simply chose not to, letting out a cold snort.

"Nonsense!"

As soon as he spoke, several metal fragments tore through the air, shooting towards Darian!

Darian reacted even faster, his magic sword tracing an arc of light in front of him, deflecting all the metal fragments and creating a series of crisp clanging sounds.

A flash of surprise crossed Magneto's eyes, but his movements didn't pause.

He slightly raised his five fingers, and a humming sound immediately emanated from the surface of the Statue of Liberty below. Metal strips of varying thickness, steel bars, and metal plates were stripped from the interior by an invisible force, slowly floating up and circling around him.

You have to know, the Statue of Liberty is a bronze statue, so people often see it undergoing lightning tribulations, leading them to mistakenly believe that America has done such wicked things that it gets struck by lightning.

For Magneto, the Statue of Liberty was no different from a massive arsenal, with an inexhaustible supply of materials.

"If this ability were used to sell scrap metal, wouldn't you make a fortune?"

Darian muttered, his tone relaxed, showing no signs of tension.

Magneto waved his hand, and the metal strips floating around him suddenly accelerated, tearing through the air with a dense shrieking sound as they surrounded Darian from all directions.

Instead of retreating, Darian advanced. His magic sword spun a circle of light, deflecting the metal strips attacking from the front, while he simultaneously controlled the flying broomstick to surge forward, weaving rapidly through the gaps between the metal strips and closing in on Magneto at high speed!

The moment the distance closed, he thrust his magic sword forward!

Magneto's eyes narrowed slightly. He gestured forward with his hand, and several thick metal plates flew in rapidly from the side, clanging together in front of him to form a solid shield wall.

Ssh—!

The magic sword pierced deeply into the metal plate, with most of the blade buried inside and only an inch of the tip protruding, stopping one meter in front of Magneto.

Magneto waved his arm casually, and the metal plate gripping the blade suddenly twisted and deformed. A massive force traveled along the magic sword, throwing Darian away along with it.

Darian immediately let go and abandoned the sword, controlling the flying broomstick to quickly stabilize his body in the air.

"You're not bad, much better than that bunch of X-Men under Charles."

Magneto crossed his arms, floating in the center of the slowly rotating metal vortex, his voice carrying a hint of admiration.

Darian manifested a new magic sword in his hand. "You're not bad either, much better than the Erik I know; at least you don't try to play melee with your opponents."

Magneto didn't understand Darian's words, but he didn't dwell on them.

He said in a deep voice, "Since you have this kind of strength, why must you help those humans who harm our kin? They view us as freaks. Today you help them build high walls, and tomorrow those will become the cages that imprison us."

"Once we lose the ability to resist, what awaits us will certainly not be peaceful coexistence, but cleansing and enslavement. Can you not see this reality?"

To be fair, Magneto actually had a point.

The Mutant post-magic era of the previous World was enough to prove that Magneto's words were not alarmist. Under human technology and harsh rhetoric, the Brotherhood of the X-Men in that World had already vanished into history, and Mutants were almost extinct.

However, what did that have to do with Darian, who was a human?

Darian shook his head. "No reason, I just accepted a mission."

Magneto frowned. "Whose mission? How much does he pay you? As long as you assist me in completing my plan, I can pay you double."

Darian waited for a long time, but did not receive a prompt from the game system.

This was normal. It was usually difficult to trigger two missions with completely opposite completion conditions simultaneously; usually, only a single-faction mission would trigger. Unless it was like S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA, where the two factions were indistinguishable, it was only then possible to accept missions from both sides.

Darian coughed lightly and said righteously, "I, Darian, walk the World, and what I value is honesty and integrity! How could I change my mind just for a little reward?"

"In that case, don't blame me."

A cold glint flashed in Magneto's eyes.

The UN summit on Ellis Island had already begun. He had to hurry and let Rogue absorb his power to activate that transformation device.

He would show no mercy to anyone attempting to hinder his plan, even if they were kin.

Magneto said no more. The metal objects floating around him suddenly erupted, surging towards Darian like a torrent of metal!

Darian didn't choose to take it head-on. With the buff from the "Old Driver's Soul" skill, he maneuvered the flying broomstick to dodge and weave in the air, frantically avoiding the incoming metal objects, while accelerating towards the torch held high by the Statue of Liberty!

Magneto's transformation device was right there; as long as he destroyed it, his plan would be ruined all the same.

"Not a chance!"

Magneto immediately saw through his intention and gripped his right hand in the air.

The copper skin on the surface of the Statue of Liberty peeled off layer by layer, and the steel and iron frame inside was simultaneously ripped out, combining in the air into countless sharp metal fragments.

In an instant, the sky full of metal turned into an airtight storm, completely blocking all paths in front of Darian!

"Oh my goodness."

Seeing this, Darian hurriedly retreated, controlling the broomstick to trace a sharp arc, narrowly avoiding this wave of area-of-effect attacks.

This was Magneto's absolute home field; it was no different from having infinite firepower hacks enabled.

"Things are getting a bit passive like this..."

Darian squinted his eyes and muttered, pulling a black ball from his game inventory and tossing it forward.

With a flash of white light, Max made a brilliant entrance!

Magneto: "..."

He had seen all sorts of Mutant abilities, but having a living person pop out of a ball was truly a bit beyond the scope of his cognition.

Mutant abilities could be obscure, but they couldn't be this bizarre.

Max, who had just come out of the pure iron poke ball, was still a bit dazed. Darian pointed his hand and shouted, "Max, use Charm on that old man!"

"Pi~ka~chu~!"

Max: (≧≦)

Magneto: (Dish Ten)

An indescribable feeling of annoyance rushed straight to his head.

He had lived for so many years and experienced all kinds of storms, but this was truly the first time he had been disgusted in such a way!

Magneto's face turned black. He couldn't even be bothered to say any extra words. He reached out and grabbed, and all the surrounding metal fragments instantly hummed and surged, smashing towards Max in a deluge!

Max looked at the metal torrent that blocked out the sky, and his scalp instantly went numb.

Seeing there was no way to dodge, he could only thrust his arms forward suddenly. A thick, dazzling azure electric light surged out, colliding head-on with the front of the metal torrent!

For a moment, the thick electric light and the surging metal formed a brief stalemate in the air, neither giving way. Energy surged at the intersection, emitting a continuous roar.

"Another Mutant with power but no substance."

Magneto snorted coldly, floating directly in front of the Statue of Liberty, slowly spreading his arms.

The next moment, the Statue of Liberty behind him actually moved, its right arm holding the torch smashing down heavily towards Max below!

Max was putting all his effort into resisting the metal torrent in front of him when he suddenly felt the sky above him darken. Distracted, he looked up and saw the giant palm of the Statue of Liberty growing larger in his field of vision!

Max: "???"

What the f***!?

So the internet rumors that the Statue of Liberty was a movable robot weren't lying!

Max didn't have time to withdraw his hand or dodge and was hit directly by the Statue of Liberty's torch. The terrifying force knocked him down to the ground, smashing out a huge crater.

Magneto waved his hand, and the Statue of Liberty's arm obediently retracted. The scene was absolutely epic.

Lowering his head, he was about to observe Max's condition when he suddenly felt a strange pulling force from above his head.

"Hmm?"

Magneto frowned. He could feel that force acting on his helmet, trying to pull it off his head. But after all, he was the master of metal; he reacted in less than half a second. His thoughts shifted, he activated his ability, and immediately firmly pressed the helmet that had nearly come loose back onto his head.

Magneto looked in the direction of the force and saw Darian not far away, holding a seemingly ordinary U-shaped magnet, aiming it at him.

Obviously, Darian was behind this.

Two invisible magnetic forces immediately clashed, competing against each other on Magneto's helmet, emitting a low vibrating sound.

Imagine, what happens when two magnets get close to each other?

Of course, they attract each other!

After less than a second of stalemate, Darian and Magneto simultaneously felt a massive pulling force, and their bodies flew uncontrollably towards each other!

Darian looked at Magneto's old face, rapidly enlarging in his field of vision and filled with astonishment, and immediately revealed a malicious smile.

Darian: Yayaya!

Magneto: Don't come over here!

Magneto hurriedly raised his hands, and the scattered metal around them immediately responded with a hum, attempting to urgently forge a barrier between the two to stop the flying Darian.

But Darian was half a step faster than him!

The flying broomstick in Darian's hand suddenly disappeared. He spread his five fingers, facing Magneto's face.

Light Spell!

The next moment, a scorching white light comparable to a small Sun instantly erupted from Darian's palm, blinding Magneto!

"Urghhh—!"

Magneto let out a short, pained cry; his eyes felt incredibly stung.

At this moment, only pure white remained in his field of vision, as if he had seen the... Heaven!

But for some reason, he always felt this ability had an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

Magneto reflexively closed his eyes, physiological tears streaming out on the spot. The metal he was controlling lost control, flying chaotically in the air, unable to target anything.

Darian, taking advantage of the magnetic pull, successfully broke through the resistance of the scattered metal and pounced directly onto Magneto's back.

Magneto only felt a weight on his back; his old bones were almost knocked apart.

F***!!

Magneto thought, "Oh no." Just as he was about to resist, a magic sword was pressed against his neck.

Darian's voice came from his ear.

"Don't move around. My hand isn't very steady, and it would be bad if I accidentally shook."

"..."

Magneto's body stiffened, and he stopped moving.

He was a pure ranged damage dealer; his melee ability couldn't be described as average, it could only be said to be non-existent. He had no power to resist at all.

After all, he couldn't exactly turn into an iron sword and have a sword duel with Darian, right?

"Who on earth are you?"

Magneto's tone was filled with unwillingness.

He had never heard of someone named Darian, yet he had been defeated by the other party just like that.

"Take off your helmet and you'll know."

As Darian said this, he reached out towards the helmet on Magneto's head.

Magneto subconsciously wanted to stop him, but hindered by the magic sword at his neck, he could only let Darian remove his helmet.

He comforted himself in his heart that Charles should still be in a coma, so there was no need to worry for the time being...

"Erik, long time no see."

A familiar yet strange voice suddenly rang in Magneto's mind.

Magneto's pupils shrank, and the astonishment in his eyes almost spilled over.

"Charles? Aren't you still in a coma?"

"That's a long story, so I won't tell it."

Magneto: "..."

"..."

No, who the f*** are you? Give Charles back to me!

And so, two old friends from different Worlds began to communicate on a mental level.

Their communication was very short; on one hand, because information transfer was extremely fast, and on the other hand, Magneto couldn't hold on, as Darian was still hanging on him.

Even more speechless, Magneto felt that the guy on his back seemed to be adjusting his posture, trying to sit more comfortably.

The corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

"I lost. Now can you get off me?"

"No, I can't fly. You carry me down."

Magneto: "..."

"..."

He took a deep breath and landed on top of the Statue of Liberty with Darian on his back.

At this moment, Magneto had given up resisting.

Now that he had lost the protection of his helmet that blocked Telepathy, and with Charles not being "banned," he had no chance of a comeback.

Just like Young Logan encountering Magneto, for Charles, Magneto without a helmet was also just a piece of cake.

"magic White Robe... enhances physical attributes?"

Darian nodded with satisfaction. This was the equipment a mage should have!

Without a word, he pulled out the magic White Robe and put it on, and equipped the pharaohs scepter, looking like a classic mage.

Magneto, standing beside him, watched in a daze.

Why does this look more and more familiar?
