Darian and Wade followed Wolverine as they turned back.
This time, they didn't take the spider-mobile, but instead used Red Skull's identity to requisition a quinjet.
Now that the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. was under Red Skull's name, it wasn't strange to find this S.H.I.E.L.D.-specialty quinjet.
Wolverine did not refuse.
Right now, he just wanted to get home quickly; those little green brats from the Hulk Gang were not easy to deal with. If he returned any later, who knew what dangerous things they might do to his family.
The quinjet rose vertically, cutting through the dim yellow sky of the Wasteland, and sped off into the distance.
"In this World, I love this sword more than anything. Want to know why?"
Wade sat next to Wolverine, pretending to sharpen the sword blade.
"I don't."
"Because it has great commemorative value, although bringing it on the plane is a bit..."
"..."
"Shut up!"
Wade seemed not to hear Wolverine's rebuke and continued: "This is a line from 'Wolverine 1', the big debut of Lord Wade on the silver screen. Although I was turned into a damn mute later, the first part was still pretty good."
"Especially that scene where I swung my sword to block bullets; it perfectly showcased the coolness of Lord Wade. Unfortunately, that idiot director actually butchered my character, turning me into a mute abomination, which almost cost me any future appearances. Fortunately, that Canadian was persistent enough to let me return to the screen, so to repay him, I decided to find him one day and change his fate of becoming Green Lantern..."
Wade's mouth wouldn't stop chattering, almost driving Wolverine crazy.
Now that Old Hawkeye was gone, he had to face this idiot alone.
There was no other way; Darian needed to pilot the quinjet, as he was the only one on board who could fill that role.
Like all Wolverines, Wolverine was allergic to all flying machines; don't expect him to be able to fly a quinjet.
As for Wade, if he dared to fly it, no one else would dare to ride with him.
Thus, Wolverine was annoyed by Wade the entire way, finally experiencing what Old Hawkeye felt. It was truly unbearable, and a few times during the process, he even wanted to unsheathe his claws and kill this annoying idiot.
Even Red Skull couldn't force Wolverine to unsheathe his claws, but Wade almost managed it with just his mouth.
"Old Wolf, we've arrived at your home."
Darian's voice came from the cockpit, and at the same time, the quinjet began to descend.
"Finally here."
Wolverine breathed a sigh of relief, a look of relief appearing on his face.
He looked out the porthole; the familiar outline of the wasteland was gradually becoming clear, and a dilapidated farmhouse was right below.
That was Wolverine's home in this World, where his wife and children were waiting for him to return.
Thinking of this, the corners of Wolverine's mouth couldn't help but curl up slightly; after all the hardships, he had finally returned.
However, before this smile could fully spread, it suddenly froze on his face.
He saw that not far from the farmhouse, there was a strangely shaped retro flying machine parked. It looked like several bathtubs put together, with messy green graffiti sprayed on the fuselage, but one could still see the number ④ printed underneath.
That was originally the spaceship of the superheroes, the Fantastic Four.
But later, this spaceship had been seized by the Hulk Gang.
"Oh no!"
Wolverine suddenly had an ominous premonition and immediately rushed out of the newly opened cabin door, running toward the house in the middle of the farm.
Seeing this, Darian and Wade followed closely behind.
As soon as they stepped through the door, the smell of blood rushed to their faces.
Inside the house, several figures with healthy green skin and bulging muscles were cornering a woman and a girl.
At their feet, a boy holding a shotgun lay in a pool of blood, his life or death unknown.
This group of people were members of the Hulk Gang, all of them Banner's offspring.
And those three were Wolverine's wife and children.
"Bastards!!!"
Witnessing this scene, Wolverine's eyes instantly turned bloodshot.
He let out a furious roar and immediately rushed toward a tall member of the Hulk Gang, slamming a fist hard into the other's face!
This Hulk Gang member was caught off guard and was knocked to the ground by Wolverine's punch.
But he clearly inherited Banner's Hulk genes; he was thick-skinned and tough. He shook his head and stood up, having suffered no major injuries.
"So it's you, you old thing. I didn't expect you to come back so soon."
Seeing Wolverine's arrival, this Hulk Gang member grinned and said: "Beat this old thing to death for me!"
The other green-skinned brutes swarmed up upon hearing this, surrounding Wolverine and punching and kicking him.
Even though Wolverine was battle-hardened, without using his Adamantium Claws, he couldn't withstand the siege of this group of green-skinned brutes and was soon beaten to the ground by heavy blows.
He spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva and stared fixedly at these green-skinned guys, his voice hoarse: "There is still more than half the time left until the rent is due, why are you doing this!?"
"Why?"
The leader of the Hulk Gang grinned, revealing a cruel smile: "Because we were so bored waiting, we came over early to find some fun. Turns out, we just knocked down your annoying little son, and you happened to come back right on time."
He paced forward, looking down at Wolverine, his tone becoming exceptionally lewd.
"But this is even better. It's perfect for letting you see with your own eyes how we get intimate with your wife and daughter..."
Bang!
A deafening gunshot interrupted his words.
The Hulk Gang member trembled violently, then erupted into a pig-like shriek, raising his hand to cover his left eye tightly, blood gushing out from between his fingers.
"Are you the Hulk Gang or the Goblin Gang? You guys play pretty wild."
Darian held the golden desert eagle, a wisp of blue smoke drifting from the muzzle.
Wade chimed in with a snarky comment: "Are these Banner's offspring? They don't look like him at all. I bet Banner was definitely very angry when he created them."
How could he not be angry?
These offspring of Banner were all as strong as oxen, with a striking healthy green skin, clearly having little to do with the thin and small Banner, and instead looking more like Hulk's spawn.
In this situation, who knows if Hulk greened Banner, or if Banner greened Hulk.
"Damn scum! I'm going to tear you apart!!"
The injured Hulk Gang member roared in anger, like an enraged Beast, ignoring the excruciating pain in his eye, and lunged toward Darian.
Darian raised his hand and fired several shots, the bullets blooming into flowers of blood on the opponent's body.
But this time, the Hulk Gang member had learned to be smart. When charging, he kept his arms raised to protect his head, face, and other vital areas. Most of the bullets were embedded in his thick muscles; although his skin was torn, they failed to truly penetrate and injure his internal organs.
In the blink of an eye, the Hulk Gang member rushed to in front of Darian and opened his palm to grab Darian's arm.
A fierce light flashed in the Hulk Gang member's eyes; he intended to crush Darian's arm, but found he couldn't crush it no matter what.
Just as the Hulk Gang member was feeling stunned, Darian raised his hand, grabbed the Hulk Gang member's fingers, and bent them hard in the opposite direction.
Snap!
A crisp sound of bone breaking suddenly rang out.
"Ahhh—!"
The Hulk Gang member let out a shrill scream.
The excruciating pain made him instinctively want to pull his hand away, but Darian's movements were faster. He hooked his five fingers onto the member's arm, crossed his hands, and suddenly applied force.
Snap!
Another crisp sound of bone breaking, and the Hulk Gang member's entire forearm bent at an eerie angle.
But it wasn't over yet.
Darian followed the same method, hooking the opponent's other intact arm and again applying force to break it. Ignoring the Hulk Gang member's heart-wrenching screams, he kicked him to the ground and then raised his foot to forcibly snap the opponent's legs.
The sound of bones shattering and the screams intertwined, echoing in the small room, making one's scalp tingle.
Seeing such a cruel scene, all the Hulk Gang members were stunned.
Where the hell did this killing god pop out from!?
After a brief silence, someone roared.
"Together! Kill this guy!"
The remaining Hulk Gang members abandoned Wolverine, all roaring in anger and lunging at Darian from different directions.
Puchi!
A white light flashed, and the Hulk Gang member who was charging in front felt a pain in his wrist. Looking down, he saw his hand severed at the wrist, blood gushing out.
"Ahhh, my hand..."
The scream had just escaped his lips when that white light flashed by again.
The sound came to an abrupt stop as a large green head rolled to the ground.
Darian held the magic sword, his figure like the wind, easily dodging the remaining clumsy lunges. The sword shadows in his hands flew, turning into a deadly curtain of light. Every strike could slice chunks of flesh from those green bodies, the wounds deep enough to see bone.
These Hulk Gang members' physical fitness was much stronger than ordinary people, but clearly far inferior to their own father.
Not long after, several green corpses lay at Darian's feet, blood flowing all over the floor.
"As expected, these don't count toward the mission objectives."
Darian looked at the mission objectives with no progress and curled his lips.
At this moment, Wolverine had no heart to pay attention to the slaughter on the side.
He rushed to his cowering wife and daughter, holding them tightly to comfort them, then crouched down and picked up his son who was lying in a pool of blood.
His wife Donovan was covered in tears, her voice trembling: "Logan, Scott, he..."
Wolverine did not reply. He felt his son's weak pulse, his face full of pain.
As a warrior who had lived for hundreds of years, he knew all too well that such injuries were equivalent to a death sentence for an ordinary person.
"Old Wolf, have him drink this; there's still a chance to save him."
Darian walked to Wolverine's side and took out a bottle of life potion.
Hearing this, a glimmer of hope instantly welled up in the depths of Wolverine's deadened heart.
He had witnessed Darian's methods; Old Hawkeye's blind eyes were cured by him.
Without a word, Wolverine took the life potion, tremblingly pried open his son's mouth, and poured the life potion in.
Fortunately, the life potion did not need to be swallowed; the moment it entered his mouth, it turned into a stream of light and seeped into his body.
Then, a miracle happened.
Wolverine's son's originally weak pulse gradually became clear and strong, and his pale cheeks regained some color.
His eyelashes fluttered a few times, and he slowly opened his eyes.
"Scott!"
Donovan covered her mouth, weeping with joy.
Wade whispered loudly in Darian's ear: "Hey, buddy, I remember Scott seems to be Cyclops's name. This Old Wolf guy, couldn't beat his love rival, so he let his love rival be his son. How shameless."
Wolverine: "..."
He was in a good mood now, so he wouldn't bicker with this idiot Wade.
Holding his son who had been brought back from the brink, Wolverine thanked Darian gratefully: "Thank you! You saved Scott's life!"
Darian waved his hand: "Just a small favor. What are your plans next?"
Wolverine's eyes suddenly turned cold. He gently handed his son back to his wife and said in a deep voice: "Before deciding, I need to clarify one thing first."
As he said this, he stood up and strode toward the Hulk Gang member whose limbs had been broken, grabbing him by the collar.
"Banner's little bastard, do you still think it's fun now?"
The surviving Hulk Gang member was already scared out of his wits. Looking at the green corpses of his brothers all over the floor, his crotch was wet and hot.
He was snotting and crying, begging incoherently: "Don't kill me! It has nothing to do with me! This was all our old man's orders. He demanded that we come over and kill your whole family!"
"What!?"
Upon hearing this, Wolverine's pupils shrank, and he clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles making cracking sounds.
He took a deep breath, did not continue to ask, and pressed his fist against the Hulk Gang member's chin.
"I always thought that as long as I swallowed my pride and paid your damn rent on time, I could at least buy safety for my family... But now it seems I was too naive."
Wolverine's voice was terrifyingly low, like the friction of the earth's crust before a volcanic eruption.
The Hulk Gang member felt the intense killing intent in Wolverine's eyes and was scared out of his wits, screeching: "Old thing... oh no, Logan! Calm down! If you kill me, my old man will never let you go! He will crush you all into pieces!"
Wolverine whispered: "Don't call me Logan..."
Puchi!
Three Adamantium Claws suddenly popped out from between his fingers, instantly piercing the Hulk Gang member's skull.
"Call me Wolverine!"
The fifty-year deadline has arrived, welcome the Wolf King back to his throne!
Watching this scene, a fitting line couldn't help but flash through Darian's mind, but unfortunately, Wolverine did not curl his mouth.
After his closest family members were threatened with death one after another, this Wolverine finally abandoned his self-imposed principles and unsheathed his claws that had been sealed for fifty years.
Darian checked Wolverine's personal information.
Sure enough, his status bar was now empty; the severe heart disease and the state of significantly weakened Healing Factor had all disappeared.
Wolverine retracted his claws, letting the dead Hulk Gang member fall to the ground.
"That damn old bastard Banner, so all of this was his conspiracy."
Wolverine dared not imagine what would have happened to his family if he had returned slower, or if he hadn't had the life potion given by Darian.
"What do you plan to do?" Darian asked again.
Wolverine's eyes suddenly became fierce: "Of course, solve the source of the problem, and the problem will naturally be gone!"
Without his heart disease, Wolverine finally returned to his original wild nature.
Darian nodded with satisfaction: "Not bad, not bad. Considering you are an intern of the Immortal Alliance, I will help you solve the Banner of this World."
Wolverine was stunned: "Uh, I don't think I've agreed to join the Immortal Alliance yet."
"You took my life potion, which means you agreed."
Darian smiled slightly and said kindly: "Of course, I am a very democratic person. If you don't agree, just spit my life potion back out."
"Hello Captain, if there is anything, feel free to order me."
