Chapter 7 - Loopholes (Edited).

An hour later after the two men left a new man walked into the room and bent down to pick up the box, he was dressed in a regal white and blue robe with a silk tie at the waist. Standing at 6'1 he had a bulky and imposing figure paired with slightly above average facial features, it was none other than Elder Jiahao.

When he saw that the box wasn't filled with the head of the traitor he almost crushed it in his hand out of anger, stopping himself in time he picked up the space pouch and letter inside with annoyance.

"Shit! If I see those two idiots showing their faces around here...."

GASP!

Looking inside the pouch he recognised a large raven, unmistakably similar to the one that patrols the Black Forest. Completely forgetting what he said a few seconds ago he excitedly checked and made sure that it was its child.

A million thoughts flooded his mind as he paced around the room, thinking that he had stumbled upon a rare opportunity to gain favor from his higher-ups he went through each on of the thoughts in his head.

"no no...that wouldn't work...hmmm maybe if I....yes...maybe"

Grumbling under his breath he took out a communication device and sent a message about his findings toward his sect head.

Leaving the room, Elder Jiahao quickly left the building and made his way to the northern area of the city.

Moving past the bustling people on the street he entered an antique shop and walked up the stairs into the second floor. On this floor there was a formation set up so if you didn't know which room to find within the corridor you would be trapped until you died of hunger or thirst.

This existed to deter away investigators and maintain the secrecy of the sect.

Luckily, this elder knew his way around these things.

Although he knew how to escape the formation it still took him around 45 minutes and a lot of effort to finally find the end.

Traveling through the exit with a sliver of exhaustion in his shoulders he was met with the sight of a massive hall, with a large table extending from the front to back, more than a hundred chairs filling it.

He immediately bowed out of respect.

At the very back chairs there were 5 people who radiated an immense aura, it was the sect head and his closest advisors.

As Jiahao entered the room the previous discussion was cut short, silence falling over the room.

"I assume you have completed your task? Come over here and show us the head of that disgusting traitor." The one at the head of the table spoke in an even voice, not giving any hint of emotion away.

Walking over with trembling legs, the once mighty Jiahao felt shivers go down as he carefully phrased his next sentence.

"Thank you for gracing me with your time sect leaders, although I did not manage to get the traitors head." At these words he tensed up when they whipped their heads around and almost started attacking outright. "Instead I managed to procure something even more valuable."

He continued, "I present to you all the heir of the Carrion Raven that has been plaguing this city for the last few years, with this we can gain a hefty sum of gold. Who knows how much the king will pay for it."

At these words the anger in the leaders eyes vanished completely and was replaced with intense greed.

"Well where is it then?

Regaining their composure, the group of advisors commanded in questioning tone.

In response Jiahao threw the space pouch towards the leader. Grabbing it out of the air the head of the sect looked into it and had an expression of disbelief written over all of his face. Reaching into the bag and pulling it out he confirmed that it was indeed what Jiahao had it was.

Waking up from her beauty sleep Kristen hazily opened her eyes and stretched the drowsy wings on her body. Shaking her head the scene in front of her slowly came into view.

'huh?'

Blinking a few times in confusion she looked around and saw the faces of old men looking at her with avarice.

'WHAT. THE. HELL'

Scrambling to get up I tried to take off into the air but was quickly grabbed by a meaty hand and brought inches away from what looked like the leaders face.

As a pair of dark beady eyes gazed into me I felt shivers run through my body. I didn't notice that he was currently sealing my body with his Qi until it was too late, feeling my limbs freeze over with some kind of restriction.

The panic in my mind chose that this was the perfect moment to explod into a myriad of emotions; fear, pleading, anger and deja vu.

"Perfect, with this I can finally gain the gold needed to expand into a proper sect." My captor muttered under his breath, eyes glittering with satisfaction.

"Take it away and keep it safely locked up." He ordered toward one of his advisors, the order carried out instantaneously. Looking at one of his core disciples, Jiahao, he calmly walked over and leaned in.

"I appreciate that you have done this, but for the benefit of the sect, this needs to be kept secret", stabbing into the disciples chest with his hand, he pulled out the heart in less than a second.

"I'm sure you understand."

He continued as he watched the light fade from Jiahao eyes, when the body hit the floor with a thud he took it as his cue to walk out of the room and began to formulate a plan with Kristen at the center of it.

After looking the scene the leader of the sect - an ambitious looking man named Xue Jie - walked leisurely out of the meeting room and went up to the highest room of the building where his bedroom was.

Going through the door he hastily searched in his drawers for a communication talisman that was connected to the royal guard, he found it in no time and scribbled down the events that had just happened.

Watching his message disappear he decided to endorse himself to have fun for the remainder of the night, dressing into a pair of dashing robes and freely moving out of the building and into one of the neighbouring brothels, ready to satisfy all of his disgusting kinks.

While Xue Jie had fun for next few hours Kristen had the opposite because after he left the advisors roughly picked her up and carried her through the building and tossed her into an enchanted bird cage that sapped strength.

'PLEASE NO. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING JUST LET ME GOOOOO!!!!!!'

She internally screamed at these awful people and cursed them too many times to count with words that should belong in the underworld.

This night was the worst one in her entire life, she didn't know where she was and who she was with.

Feeling herself get weaker by the second she quickly viewed her status to see what was happening.

'huh...what...WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!?!'

The situation progressed from bad to horrible when almost all of her power got drained. She tried to search for any loopholes with in the cage but everything she did seemed to fail, it looked like her captors had prepared in advance for every situation.
