Chapter 12 - ME LIKEY (Edited).

'Holy shit!'

The berries that Kristen ate gave her 100 exp each because of the potent energy inside of them, resulting in her sudden evolution.

On the evolution paths list it was structured from most average to most exceptional, but all of them had to be related to her current race.

[Evolution]

Criteria:

Reach lvl 11✓

Eat 5 pitchberries✓

[Evolution paths:]

[Shadowfowl]

[Snow crow]

[Ember Raven]

[Stormcrow]

.

.

'Anything else?'

She knew that there would be nothing super OP on the first evolution, but a gal could hope right?

Scrolling down she took a better look at all of her options, there were countless rare species that were shown to her and some even had tasks that she had to fulfill.

.

.

[Bloodraven] Requirement : Bathe in the blood of your foes for 24 hours straight and all stats must be above 50.

[Rotcorvid] Requirement : Survive a a usually life-ending disease and health stat must be above 100

[Feather-Plume Raven] Requirement: Eat the feathers and corpse of your siblings and

.

.

'Hehe me likey'

Her eyes gazed upon the final two options with suppressed glee.

.

.

[Dusk Feather] Requirement : Infuse the element of dusk within your body and all stats must be above 90

[Astral Raven] Requirement : Consume a star treasure or herb, have at least 50 star energies.

.

.

.

'DAYAMN! Okay they all sound so freaking cool but I do not want to do all that shit for the requirements.

She couldn't mentally withstand going into a pile of blood for longer than 5 minutes so becoming [Bloodraven] was definitely out of the question.

To be completely honest, turning into a [Rotcorvid] sounded gross and disgusting so that was a big no as well.

And although she could technically become a [Feather-Plume Raven] it would take a while to train her agility up to 100.

'OH! NEVERMIND I CAN JUST CHOOSE THE ASTRAL THINGY BECAUSE I ALREADY DID THE REQUIREMENTS. I like looking up into the depressing nothingness of space anyway so it should be fine...haha.'

Kristen checked her stats and made sure that she had enough star energies to begin the process

Now all she needed to start the process was starlight, and she already had it!

'Okay lets do this shit!'

Looking up at the sky with wide eyes, she felt the connecting between her and the stars grow stronger. It was indescribable, just like the moment you fall asleep.

The stars seemed to have turned up the brightness all around the world, causing people from all over to wonder what was happening, with a few thinking about a new brilliant, graceful talent perhaps emerging.

'THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!'

Kristens body was in the center of all the starlight, absorbing it all with her usual big back behaviour, spitting out vulgar words nonstop during the process.

"CAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

On the inside, she was feeling like she was birthing a baby the opposite way, all the surrounding energy entering her body and forming a small cluster inside her stomach.

'THE HELL IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?!?'

It was like being split in half, stitched back together and then repeating the whole process again. Pain splintered throughout her body like glass, almost numbing her nerves with the intensity of it.

'SOMEONE HELP!'

The hollow bones that were once perfect for agile flying were changing, swelling and filling.

Feathers tore from her wings in clumps, darker structures pushing through, the elongated quills like shards of midnight crystal, shining with a starry light.

But, unfortunately for Kristen, they did not grow gently.

SQUELCH!

They forced their way out, splitting skin, drawing black blood that shimmered with a strange light.

She screamed—but the sound was wrong, like it was changing into something more...human.

As the light got more intense her claws got sharper and her beak more pointed.

When Kristen was born into this world she was born on the 22nd of march, meaning her zodiac sign was an Ares, and right now that constellation was forming on top of her head in a blue glow.

It helped control all of the wild energy coursing throughout Kristens veins, directing it to where it was most needed.

After about 20 minutes of continuous struggle the pain finally let up and allowed her to recover.

But before she did that she had to see the changes in her body from the harrowing evolution.

Taking a proper look at herself she was happy with what she saw.

'Completely refined and elegant just like me, wow I'm surprised with how similar it is to my personality hahaha.

Her bird body had grown from cat-size into a medium sized dog.

The old feather now completely gone, the new ones looking sleek and shiny with a starry sparkle if you looked close enough. A sharp beak and claws added to the allure, creating an imposing character that looked somehow vulnerable yet tough at the same time.

Muscles rippled underneath the feather covering her body, sturdy and flexible for flying.

'ooooooOOOOOoooooo I look HOT! I mean....as much as a bird could look I guess.'

Soon the excitement of her new form faded.

The entire ordeal had really tired her poor spirit out and so she decided to take it easy and get some sleep.

'WAIT. I feel like I'm forgetting something.

OH I KNOW!'

A light flashed and then a window of text appeared in front of Kristens eyes.

The window told her that she had gotten a new divine ability, but her attention was on something else.

'UGH! Why the hell didn't I upgrade my pain tolerance BEFORE I evolved, oh well, I'll just do it now I guess.'

Using a skill point she focused on [Pain tolerance] and turned it into [Pain adaptation]. Feeling satisfied with herself she checked the upper half of the screen and saw something that made her momentarily jump up and down in happiness.

'YES!

Finally I have something that is actually OP. Wait it IS op right?

She tried to activate the skill and her eyes glazed over, looking at a tree she was surprised to see that a white flame quickly consumed it

'Guess that answers that question.'

Due to the extremely long day that she had been through her body was on the verge of shutting down.

With droopy eyes she trodded over towards a comfy bush and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

'Goodnight~'
