"Let me make sure I understand," Carlo said, voice dangerously quiet. "You announced your divorce at the Whitmore Foundation Gala. In front of three hundred guests. In front of business partners. In front of the press."


"Vanessa humiliated herself by getting drunk and confronting Sienna. I just finished what she started."


"Don't you dare blame this on Vanessa." Carlo's fist slammed the table. "This is your mess, Alessandro. Your weakness."


"I don't care what her name is! She's a distraction. A liability. And you just destroyed our alliance with the Whitmores over her."
