Hello everyone!
Dear readers,
as you know, this fic will have several volumes; I'm planning between 5 and 7. Last year, I had written this fic up to the beginning of my third volume. I lost most of my files because I formatted my PC, but some files survived containing parts of the story.
So, I'm starting to rewrite it and delve deeper, because in my previous, deleted draft, I had only written more about Sentry than Robert Reynolds, focusing more on fights and interactions with the heroes.
I'll try to update more often since my job is quite demanding. As I said, I'm not going to abandon this fic. The number of readers doesn't matter; I just want to share my creation with you. I'll continue this fic until it's on par with my other Doctor Doom fic.
As you've read, the original characters were based on Sentry's lore. Later on, I'll bring Watchdog and CLOC into Bob's life. Also, I'm excited to read his new comic series this year. He's my favorite Marvel character along with Spider-Man, as I've said before.
In these first chapters, I'll focus more on psychological horror than Sentry's fights and powers, because this is fundamental to the fic, and I plan for Bob to discover his powers in an epic way.
On another note, regarding Sentry's love interest, it will obviously be a heroine, but I plan for him to have two love interests. If you're expecting a harem, I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'll try to play with love triangles.
One of them, you can probably already guess who it is; it's pretty obvious. "Metropolis," "Superman," "Crush."
The other one, I prefer to keep secret until I add her to the fic. You won't expect who it is, but she's the least popular character in DC. I'll be waiting for your guesses as you try to identify her.
Based on the previous DC universe, this won't strictly follow the DC canon; it's a mix of Post-Crisis, New 52, Rebirth, Justice League Unlimited, and Young Justice from all media.
My DC comics that inspired this fanfic are Superman for All Seasons, Black Lightning (1995 & 2024), Supergirl (2005), New 52 & Rebirth, Tower of Babel, Titans Rebirth, President Luthor, Green Lantern (1990), New Gods (1995), Flashpoint, Death of Superman, and Doomsday Clock.
My main Marvel comics are Sentry (2000 & 2005) by Jenkins, Sentry (2018) by Lemire, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Dark Avengers and Siege by Bendis.
