Chapter 39 - In the Real World, Modifying the 2D World Chapter 39: The Strongest Power of the Quincy — Reishi Blast Fist

Chapter 39: The Strongest Power of the Quincy — Reishi Blast Fist

"Very interesting!"

Mo Yu observed the changes in Uryu Ishida. Uryu's realization of the path of Purity and his signs of "re-classing" from a Quincy into a Reishi Madman were well within Mo Yu's expectations. After all, the requirements for Purity were quite low: as long as one had been within a certain range of the Hogyoku and possessed a sufficiently strong and pure will, it was "OK." The duration of contact didn't even matter.

Take Orihime and Chad, for example; they had only been near Rukia (who housed the sealed Hogyoku) at school, yet they awakened Fullbrings during their private time later on.

However, Uryu's specific performance after stepping onto the path of Purity was somewhat unexpected.

Uryu had abandoned thought, relied on instinctive rage, erupted his inner "Masculinity," and ruthlessly pummeled his inner "Femininity" to attain a Purity full of resolve. This wasn't a complex process—many films feature a cowardly person who suddenly finds courage. But in fiction, such a change is usually a one-time event with a set ceiling. Once resolved, a person's heart doesn't typically keep "jumping" back and forth.

Uryu, however, was different.

The "Femininity" in Uryu's heart was formed by the persistent interference of the 3D audience. It was a continuous, inexhaustible stream that didn't fade just because Uryu changed. This created a bizarre effect.

Using self-anger as a source, he constantly beat the rising "Female" thoughts, erupting with a Purity-driven "Male" essence. But because he had abandoned rational thought to let raw emotion govern him, the "Female" persona would feed on his inner moments of weakness, growing stronger in a persistent cycle. Consequently, Uryu's anger would flare even hotter, and his "Male" side would beat the "Female" side even harder.

Uryu's inner self was now a dual spiral: the most submissive "Uke" and the most furious "Seme" appearing simultaneously, interdependent and pushing toward extremes. The more submissive he felt, the more aggressive he became; the more "girly" the thoughts, the more sadistic the reaction. Under this dangerous mental helix, his Purity began to surge, explode, and increase manically.

Mo Yu couldn't help but wonder: was Uryu learning Purity, or was he "Giga-Drill" evolving like a character from Gurren Lagann, reaching a realm where power is infinite as long as the spirit remains unquenched?

Regardless, it was a good thing. To be a top-tier powerhouse these days, one had to have a "cheat" active. This made Mo Yu appreciate Uryu even more, seeing him as a prime candidate for an "Angel." In religious classics, Angels are often genderless, flawless spirits; Uryu wasn't biologically there yet, but his soul was approaching that "perfect being" state.

As Mo Yu marveled, Renji Abarai was also "marveling," though his sentiment was far from a compliment.

"I hate perverts who play with needlework!"

Reishi threads lashed out like demonic claws. One slip in concentration, and Renji would be bound or entangled. While Renji could snap these relatively fragile threads with raw strength, it cost him his mobility. Worse, under Uryu's control, these threads were pervasive.

Ever since a bundle of these threads nearly performed a "one-step-to-the-stomach" lung-thrust when he opened his mouth to breathe, Renji didn't dare breathe through his mouth anymore. He had to defend every orifice against these threads. He felt they were constantly swerving behind him, eyeing his back with predatory intent—a sensation like a needle pricking his spine.

But that wasn't even the most annoying part!

Uryu used Hirenkyaku (Flying Screen Step), utilizing the explosive force of Reishi footholds to charge. Renji, a master of high-speed assault, saw an opening and swung his blade for a heavy strike. At that moment, a Reishi thread yanked Uryu's body. It interfered with Renji's counter-swing while allowing Uryu to maintain his momentum, pulling his silhouette into several high-speed, irregular zig-zags without warning.

When Uryu landed, he was in Renji's blind spot. As they crossed, a spray of blood erupted from Renji's shoulder.

Standing still, Uryu lifted his hand, lightly sniffing the blood on his fingertips. With a dangerous smile, he said:

"From your blood, I smell a very hot will. It makes me look forward to the moment I touch your 'inner self' after completely dismembering you from the inside out. What will you say then? Will you be like my grandfather, calling out the name of your worthless grandson in your final moments?"

In Renji's eyes, Uryu was becoming increasingly demonic, radiating a treacherous and dangerous charm. Even with mental preparation, staring at him for more than three seconds caused Renji's mind to wander. Uryu's figure not only occupied his vision but was creeping into his mind—and it had nothing to do with romance. It was a sense of unparalleled terror!

The vision of himself being toyed with and dismantled like a doll wasn't a premonition; it felt like a decree of fate.

As his Purity grew, Uryu began to manifest the same aura as Ichigo: a Martial Artist's aura of extreme Purity. If Ichigo's aura was the "Mindless Asura King" who devours everything, Uryu's was a "Vile Sadist" who dismantles all things. It was a "S&M Fear Aura."

After a few more exchanges, Renji finally snapped. He gripped his Zanpakuto and roared:

"Kid! Don't think you can scare a battle-hardened Soul Reaper with mere posturing! Howl, Zabimaru...!"

With the Shikai release command, the blade transformed into a segmented whip-sword. Renji swung it, the serrated blades extending like a serpent's fangs, turning the surrounding dozens of meters into a kill zone. The wide-range slash cleared the Reishi threads and chased after Uryu like a snake's kiss!

In that moment, Uryu's expression shifted—not with fear, but with disdain.

"Turning a sword into a whip... just a change in attack method, yet you treat it with such confidence as your trump card? Honestly... your Purity is too low!"

With a fanatical smile, Uryu flicked his finger. More Reishi threads extended from his body, weaving and structuring into a tougher rope-like Reishi net that filled the air.

As his Purity exploded, Uryu began to feel what Ichigo had felt. Everything of the body and mind was being integrated by Purity. Strength increased with Purity; technique sharpened with Purity; even will and conviction ascended through it. All miracles could be achieved through Purity.

Purity is everything. If your Purity is strong enough, there is no enemy you cannot defeat. If you lose, your Purity was simply lacking!

Ransotengai (Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit) is the most profound Quincy technique. Not every Quincy is qualified to use it. Even the old Uryu, despite his training, could only use it as a "bandage" to manipulate a broken limb for forced combat.

But now, the secrets of Ransotengai flowed through his mind like he had trained it ten thousand times. His mastery ascended without a bottleneck. Even secrets he shouldn't have known began to surface.

He remembered his grandfather, Soken, stroking his head with a gentle smile while teaching him. He suddenly understood Soken's hidden thoughts. His grandfather hadn't really wanted to teach him Ransotengai. Although it was Soken's best technique, it was too difficult to practice, hard to control, and filled with danger. Even Soken couldn't claim 100% safety with it.

But Soken had taught it anyway, because Ransotengai is the most core, fundamental Quincy technique!

The principle—capturing Reishi and weaving it into silk for infinitesimal manipulation—covered the essence of all Quincy skills. Arrows, Blut, everything was just a derivative of Ransotengai.

Excluding the Vollständig (which required Yhwach's blessing), Ransotengai was the peak of Quincy power. And that danger applied to both the enemy and the user!

Using Purity to gain massive Reishi-gathering power and refined control, Uryu marched toward the peak of the technique. The incredibly dense Reishi of the Seireitei was captured by him, woven into silk, and extended in every direction.

These threads were his eyes to sense space and his hands to interfere with it!

Renji, who fought more with his body than his brain, didn't realize that the area within a hundred meters had become Uryu's puppet theater. He had become a doll in Uryu's palm.

The danger was closing in on Renji—and on Uryu. Maintaining such a vast domain required excruciatingly precise manipulation every second. A single mistake would be catastrophic. But dancing on the edge of life and death made Uryu "feel high"—even his brain felt flushed with blood.

Renji finally felt something was wrong. Uryu's thread structure was iterating, his interference methods and precision rising constantly. Despite fighting with all his might, Renji's injuries were mounting, and he couldn't find a single decent opening to counter-attack.

He felt like a moth in a spiderweb. He could struggle, but the demonic predator was closing in to enjoy his "warmed-up" flesh.

Renji gripped his blade. He had a hidden trump card: the Bankai he had trained for so long to stand proudly before Rukia. But Bankai was restricted by law in the Seireitei. If he used it, he'd break the law—and worse, if he really lost control in the heat of battle, would his Captain scold him?

Renji hesitated—a fatal mistake in battle. But he wasn't a pure brute; he had to weigh his career.

Mo Yu, watching from his PC, was enjoying the show. With Uryu's Purity rising, he didn't even need the "Divine Palm" to beat Renji.

As a God, Mo Yu was a man of his word. If he said he'd provide support, he would. He noticed Byakuya Kuchiki had appeared in the distance, observing the fight, along with several other Captains. If things went south, Uryu might face a group of Captain-level "brutes" going full throttle. Mo Yu decided to provide some "lateral" help.

With a click of his mouse, he selected the "Blood Eye" in the sky.

The eye that had been indifferently looking down suddenly moved, spinning in place. This anomaly startled everyone. Then, in their terrified sight, another blood eye appeared. Then another. One after another until thousands of blood-red eyes filled every inch of the sky.

To Mo Yu, it was just CTRL+C and CTRL+V. The "Environmental Effect: Divine Gaze of the Old Testament" was complete!

This was only the beginning. A pillar of blood-light materialized from the dense eyes, descending exactly upon Uryu Ishida.

Renji, still hesitating, saw Uryu erupt with bizarre phenomena under the light. Radiant, indescribable colors flickered over him. Finally, a small blood-red vertical eye manifested slowly above Uryu's head!

Renji looked at the eye above Uryu, then at the thousands of eyes in the sky. He swallowed hard.

The good news: he didn't have to hesitate anymore. The bad news: if an order came down from the Soul King Palace tomorrow saying "Renji stepped out with his left foot today, exile him to the Sahara Desert," he wouldn't be surprised at all.

In fact, he wasn't alone. Blood-light fell before every Captain watching the battlefield. Small vertical eyes condensed in the light, staring indifferently at the Captains—a silent warning.

I am watching you. Let's see what tricks you try to pull!

The Captains' faces twitched.

In that moment, Renji had a flash of inspiration. Clutching his wounds, he suddenly let out an over-the-top scream:

"Dammit! Your barrage... caused too much blood loss! You are indeed... stronger... I lose! Ah... everything is going dark... I'm fainting!"

He wobbled and "collapsed."

Uryu's eyes flickered with a trace of disappointment. He was just getting into it, and his opponent folded. Although he could still strike, his inner kindness and the fact that a broken opponent was no fun to dismantle stopped him. He hungered for a more brutal, violent collision to vent his rage.

Uryu asked coldly: "Where is Mayuri Kurotsuchi?"

The "unconscious" Renji's arm extended slightly, pointing in a specific direction.

Infinite Reishi threads pulled, forming an invisible war-bow that launched Uryu like a human Quincy Arrow toward the sky. It was a movement technique far beyond Hirenkyaku.

"Tsk. I'll have to give Renji a lesson in loyalty later!"

Mayuri Kurotsuchi was watching through the Seireitei's surveillance. He had seen Renji's spineless "betrayal" and knew the troublesome brat was coming for him.

"Hmm. When did I offend this kid? I have no memory of him. Did the higher-ups discover my forbidden experiments?"

Mayuri tilted his head. He couldn't recall a specific grievance because as a mad scientist, he had offended thousands of people. If all his secret experiments were exposed, he'd be executed dozens of times over. But he saw this as a great opportunity. To understand the unknown, close contact and investigation are the best ways.

He packed his things and walked out of his lab to meet the enemy.

Uryu streaked through the sky like a bolt, using Reishi threads to adjust his landing. With a thunderous boom and swirling dust, Uryu saw the black-and-white masked man. Even without Mayuri saying a word, his aura of neurotic madness told Uryu everything.

His Purity manifested as a strong intuition, identifying his target.

Uryu asked flatly: "Do you remember a man named Soken Ishida?"

Mayuri tilted his head. "Soken Ishida? Who? Let me check my memory... Oh, you mean that boring Quincy. He was quite strong. I thought his body was special, but after dissecting him, he was just a plain old man. That 'Quincy power' was quite disappointing. By the way... who are you?"

Uryu lowered his eyes. Mayuri's casual dismissal made the fire in his heart boil over. No remorse. Not even a shred of care. Soken Ishida, who devoted his life to the Quincy duty, held zero weight in Mayuri's mind.

Hatred born of rage filled Uryu's soul and every single cell. He wanted to hit Mayuri's indifferent face with the strongest, fastest, and most ruthless fist possible.

Reishi threads reached out in every direction, the Ransotengai domain expanding to its limit. Using the threads as a medium, he pushed Reishi manipulation beyond its peak—and then, dominated everything!

Mayuri watched as the surrounding tiles and buildings began to disintegrate, turning into Reishi that converged upon Uryu.

A brilliant wing of light extended from Uryu's shoulder—a surging stream of ultra-high-density Reishi.

"My name is Uryu Ishida. I am the grandson of Soken Ishida, and the Last Quincy. Now... please understand the meaning of a Quincy's... POWER!!!"

The frantic wings of light manifested his majestic rage, dissolving the matter of the Seireitei into infinite Reishi. The environment became a stormy ocean of energy.

The most basic and core power of a Quincy is Reishi manipulation. At its peak, it is the domination of every Reishi particle one can reach!

The wings of light flapped gently. In a negligible fraction of a second, the Ransotengai domain collapsed and retracted, focusing all its accumulated power onto Uryu's body.

To Mayuri's senses, Uryu's silhouette completely vanished!

When he reappeared, there was only a single fist, carrying infinite radiance, slamming toward his face!

"Take my Absolute Realm 20% Output... REISHI BLAST FIST!"
