Chapter 20 - Namekian Path: FINALE

Final Oath, fully awakened, had reached its peak. White-gold lightning crackled wildly across Broly and Vegeta, but now it was too much. The energy that had protected and enhanced them was turning against them.

Their forms flickered violently, muscles tearing under the strain. Their bodies were deteriorating, pieces of themselves dissolving into the raw energy of the universe.

Vegeta gasped, voice strained:"Broly… it's… it's too much…"

Broly growled through gritted teeth, eyes flickering white:"We… can't… stop… now…"

Frieza floated nearby, battered but conscious, golden aura flickering wildly. He laughed—weak, but smug.

"You see now?" Frieza taunted. "You borrowed something that was never meant to last."

Vegeta clenched his fists, blood drifting from his knuckles into the void.

"If he stays awake…" Vegeta said quietly, voice breaking, "We don't survive."

Broly swallowed hard.

Images flooded his mind:

Namekian children hiding

Piccolo standing alone

Kakarot is smiling even after being beaten down

And Vegeta.

Still standing.

Still fighting.

"If we don't knock him out…" Broly said, voice shaking,"…we die here."

Silence hung between them.

No strategy.

No power left.

Only truth.

The Moment of Doubt

Final Oath flared violently.

Broly screamed as part of his arm began dissolving into light.

Vegeta dropped to one knee, teeth clenched. "Damn it… I can't—"

For the first time in his life, Vegeta felt fear.

Not of Frieza.

Of failing someone else.

He looked up at Broly.

"If this is it…" Vegeta said quietly, "I'm glad it was you."

Broly's eyes widened.

"No," Broly said firmly. "We're not dying separately."

The Vanish

The universe pulled them apart.

Their bodies flickered—breaking down, unraveling.

Then—

They vanished.

Frieza's laughter stopped abruptly. "What—?"

They reappeared right in front of him.

Not glowing.

Not empowered.

Barely holding form.

Vegeta and Broly slammed into Frieza simultaneously—no technique, no elegance. Just everything they had left.

Their fists met Frieza's guard.

The impact shook the void.

Their bodies screamed.

Final Oath burned hotter, tearing through them, trying to erase them.

Vegeta screamed through clenched teeth,"If WE DIE—"

Broly finished it, voice breaking into a roar,"—WE DIE!"

They pushed forward together.

Bones cracking.Energy is tearing them apart.Existence slipping.

"AAAGHHHHHHHHHHH"

Final Oath erupted one last time—not as power, but as will.

The explosion slammed into Frieza point‑blank.

His golden aura shattered.

His scream cut off.

And then—

Frieza went limp.

Unconscious.

Falling.

After

The moment Frieza dropped—

Final Oath collapsed.

The lightning vanished instantly.

Broly and Vegeta fell too, bodies slowly barely holding together, of drifting into silence.

Far away, Piccolo fell to his knees.

Kakarot let out a shaking breath. "…They did it."

U!K@W

"So fragile… so loud… so bright…"

???? presence pulsed like a shadow heartbeat. It was not impressed, not in awe, not even in recognition. It was curious… in the way a predator studies struggling prey.

"They defy death… and yet…" the void whispered, cold and infinite. "Fragile creatures. Fools, burning themselves out for a tyrant unworthy of their fury."

??? watched Broly and Vegeta struggle against the young tyrant. Their near-death, their desperation, their bond—it fascinated the presence.

Not because it cared. Not because it was impressed.

Because it could crush them, and yet they would dare persist.

...

"Deliciously small… defiance… fleeting… ephemeral…" lingered long after Frieza fell, after the Saiyans barely survived.

The void around them bent, dark tendrils stretching toward the remnants of Namek. But they did not see it. They could not.

"I see you. Tiny sparks. Surviving where you should not. Fragile, burning, screaming… I will remember."

It was not benevolent. It was not vengeful. It was indifferent, patient, and hungry.

And in its presence, even the void itself felt wrong, corrupted, and alive.
