Nina glanced at Yanai, then at Mino. All of her former fiancés really were quite good-looking.
"Hello, Female Nina. My name is Yanai," Yanai spoke first, stating his purpose. "A friend asked me to come and take care of you for a while."
"A friend?" Nina was puzzled. "Who asked you to come?"
She was genuinely confused. Someone capable of asking the young lord of an entire city for help—she didn't think she had such an influential friend. The friends she had were all newly made in Stone Rock Tribe, and the original owner of this body didn't seem to have anyone like that either.
And… could Yanai possibly know her real identity?
Mino was also confused. His instincts told him the one who'd made the request was a male—and someone extremely close to Nina.
"Well… he asked me to keep it confidential for now," Yanai answered vaguely.
That only deepened Nina's confusion. Who could it be? Surely not her trashy biological father?
"Is it a family member?" Nina probed.
