Chapter 37 - Not my type

This time, the visitor was a male—quite tall, dark-skinned, broad-shouldered, and sturdy, with an honest, almost rustic look. He seemed to be one of the males who had escorted her home yesterday.

Nina stood up and walked over. Leah and the others followed.

"Nina, um… I—I brought you some meat," the male said shyly. "I hunted this wild rabbit early this morning. It's very fresh."

He awkwardly set down the enormous rabbit he'd been carrying on his shoulder.

Everything in the beast world really was big—this rabbit was practically the size of a grey wolf.

"Oh? Ada, since when did you become so diligent?" Minnie teased. "Out hunting first thing in the morning, too."

"For a female I admire, of course I have to work harder," Ada replied frankly, not bothering to hide it.

Before Nina could respond, another male arrived.

This one was even taller and more imposing than Ada, with sharp features and a faint air of menace between his brows.
