Nina retreated behind Mino. She was genuinely afraid of this kind of relentless clinging. She had encountered people like this before—after she rejected them, they still followed and harassed her.
Sano shuffled forward on his knees a couple of steps. "Nina, just give me one chance. You'll see how good I am."
Sensing Nina's fear, Mino didn't say a word—he acted.
Countless ice spikes shot toward Sano. Sano dodged quickly, but even with his fast reactions, his arm was still pierced and injured.
Mino said coldly, "Get lost. And don't ever come back to bother Nina. If you do, I will kill you."
Seeing Mino preparing to strike again, Sano knew he was no match for him head-on. Swallowing his resentment, he turned and fled.
Sal's eyes darkened. It seemed he really needed to recover his strength as soon as possible—otherwise, just any stray creature would dare to harass his little female.
